What is produced when calcium reacts with fluorine in a synthesis reaction?
Ca + F2 ________
CaF
CaF4
2CaF
CaF2
When calcium reacts with fluorine in a synthesis reaction, calcium fluoride or CaF2 is produced
When calcium reacts with fluorine in a synthesis reaction CaF₂ is produced. Therefore, option D is correct.
What is calcium ?The chemical element calcium has the atomic number 20 and the letter Ca as its symbol. Calcium is an alkaline earth metal that reacts with air to create a black oxide-nitride coating. Its heavier homologues barium and strontium are most similar to it in terms of physical and chemical characteristics.
Both calcium and vitamin B12 are necessary for the maintenance of healthy bones and are dependent on one another for proper absorption. Low calcium levels might hinder the absorption of vitamin B12, and vice versa.
Together, calcium and vitamin D serve to safeguard your bones since calcium aids in bone formation and maintenance and vitamin D aids in calcium absorption. Therefore, if you don't get enough vitamin D, even if you consume adequate calcium, it could be wasted.
Thus, option D is correct.

Jason Reynolds outlines three approaches that may help students to connect with literature. What are they
Answer:
Do not promote literature as something static. Show that everything is connected to literature. Allow young people to create connections with literature and literacy.Explanation:
In a nutshell, Reynolds states that the lack of connection between young people and literature is created by promoting literature as something statist, a literature that does not allow all young people to recognize their realities. So the first step in promoting a connection between young people and literature is to impose literature as something static, but as something diverse and dynamic that shows the reality of whites, blacks, old people, young people, among others.
In addition, it is necessary to show that literature is related to everything, including classical literature, it is connected to contemporary literature, expanding meanings and relating them to the present.
Finally, it is necessary not only to allow young people to recognize themselves, but to understand that they can bring about changes through the words and learning that literature can promote.
Which conflict do you think is most important to the story—the internal conflict in which the man must understand that his own foolishness put him in danger or the external conflict in which the man faces the cold? Write one paragraph supporting your opinion with evidence from the story.
I need help please because i cannot get this and i cant use the sample question !
Answer:
In Jack London’s "To Build a Fire," the external conflict of character versus nature is the most important. The man in the story struggles to keep himself alive in the extreme cold of the Yukon. Through the story, London shows how natural forces are indifferent to the survival of humans. He also shows how a human, when unprepared, is no match for nature:
It did not lead him to meditate upon his frailty as a creature of temperature, and upon man's frailty in general, able only to live within certain narrow limits of heat and cold; and from there on it did not lead him to the conjectural field of immortality and man's place in the universe.
Throughout the story, the man’s struggle against the cold drives the plot of the story forward. It affects the man’s ability to think clearly and problem-solve, and it decides his fate. There are instances in the story where the man ignores signs of trouble, such as when he comes across the old sled trail. However, his blind determination to join the others at the camp drives him on:
The furrow of the old sled-trail was plainly visible, but a dozen inches of snow covered the marks of the last runners. In a month no man had come up or down that silent creek. The man held steadily on. He was not much given to thinking, and just then particularly he had nothing to think about save that he would eat lunch at the forks and that at six o'clock he would be in camp with the boys.
This external conflict continues right up to the end of the story, when the man dies from the cold. Thus, the external conflict of character versus nature is most significant to the plot of the story.

What stands out the most to you in "The Hill We Climb" poem by Amanda Gorman
When day comes we ask ourselves,
where can we find light in this never-ending shade?
The loss we carry,
a sea we must wade
We've braved the belly of the beast
We've learned that quiet isn't always peace
And the norms and notions
of what just is
Isn't always just-ice
And yet the dawn is ours
before we knew it
Somehow we do it
Somehow we've weathered and witnessed
a nation that isn't broken
but simply unfinished
We the successors of a country and a time
Where a skinny Black girl
descended from slaves and raised by a single mother
can dream of becoming president
only to find herself reciting for one
And yes we are far from polished
far from pristine
but that doesn't mean we are
striving to form a union that is perfect
We are striving to forge a union with purpose
To compose a country committed to all cultures, colors, characters and
conditions of man
And so we lift our gazes not to what stands between us
but what stands before us
We close the divide because we know, to put our future first,
we must first put our differences aside
We lay down our arms
so we can reach out our arms
to one another
We seek harm to none and harmony for all
Let the globe, if nothing else, say this is true:
That even as we grieved, we grew
That even as we hurt, we hoped
That even as we tired, we tried
That we'll forever be tied together, victorious
Not because we will never again know defeat
but because we will never again sow division
Scripture tells us to envision
that everyone shall sit under their own vine and fig tree
And no one shall make them afraid
If we're to live up to our own time
Then victory won't lie in the blade
But in all the bridges we've made
That is the promise to glade
The hill we climb
If only we dare
It's because being American is more than a pride we inherit,
it's the past we step into
and how we repair it
We've seen a force that would shatter our nation
rather than share it
Would destroy our country if it meant delaying democracy
And this effort very nearly succeeded
But while democracy can be periodically delayed
it can never be permanently defeated
In this truth
in this faith we trust
For while we have our eyes on the future
history has its eyes on us
This is the era of just redemption
We feared at its inception
We did not feel prepared to be the heirs
of such a terrifying hour
but within it we found the power
to author a new chapter
To offer hope and laughter to ourselves
So while once we asked,
how could we possibly prevail over catastrophe?
Now we assert
How could catastrophe possibly prevail over us?
We will not march back to what was
but move to what shall be
A country that is bruised but whole,
benevolent but bold,
fierce and free
We will not be turned around
or interrupted by intimidation
because we know our inaction and inertia
will be the inheritance of the next generation
Our blunders become their burdens
But one thing is certain:
If we merge mercy with might,
and might with right,
then love becomes our legacy
and change our children's birthright
So let us leave behind a country
better than the one we were left with
Every breath from my bronze-pounded chest,
we will raise this wounded world into a wondrous one
We will rise from the gold-limbed hills of the west,
we will rise from the windswept northeast
where our forefathers first realized revolution
We will rise from the lake-rimmed cities of the midwestern states,
we will rise from the sunbaked south
We will rebuild, reconcile and recover
and every known nook of our nation and
every corner called our country,
our people diverse and beautiful will emerge,
battered and beautiful
When day comes we step out of the shade,
aflame and unafraid
The new dawn blooms as we free it
For there is always light,
if only we're brave enough to see it
If only we're brave enough to be it

write a 10 sentence reflection on a time when you stood up for something right. someone write it for me please :(
I remember when I was a young kid, I had many times where I had to reflect on myself, so I'll share one of them here. I remember I was with a group of friends, just sitting outside of one of their houses, when one of them had an idea. Apparently he wanted to start throwing rocks at cars because he was bored? I didn't really want to do it, but they were my friends at the time, so did I say I didn't want to, or did I do it. I told them I didn't want to do that, and they all started teasing me. "Come on, we won't be caught!" they said, and I still said no. I don't know if I didn't want to get in trouble, or what, but I just couldn't throw rocks at some poor persons car who probably worked hard that day. Eventually I started walking home, leaving my friends behind, not wanting to be involved with it. When I made it home, I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to be call a "Snitch" so I kept it secret until today. I guess it's not too bad, but still had to stand up for something right, and I guess this is my main memory.
This was all made up of course, sorry if it's not good enough!

8. In what ways is this a serious story? In what ways is it not at all serious, and why did the author choose to do both with his portrayal of Earth's future? the story is: Earth (A Gift Shop)
Answer:
Although the story is not at all serious because of how it is written, the background, the topic of the story is really serious. It's about consumerism and it's set in a future where humans have destroyed the Earth and the people that survived leave the Earth to live somewhere else. The topic is serious because nowadays we keep discussing the consequences of global warming and consumerism. However, the story is also told in an ironically way, it's about how thousands of years later everyone finds the Earth boring and they only visit the Gift Shop. I believe the author choose to do both because it's not hard to recognize that we, as a society, have similar behaviors as the ones descripted in the story.
Explanation:
To complete this exercise, you have to read the story Earth (A gift shop) written by Charles Yu and then answer the questions. The story is about a gift shop on the Earth that people visit to buy a souvenir and how they tried to do a museum to show things from the Earth but people who visited found it boring. It's a futuristic story about human behaviors that led to the destruction of the Earth.
How does the atomic Theory account for the fact that when 1.00g of water is decomposed into its element,0.111g of hydrogen and 0.889 of oxygen are obtained regardless of source of the water?
Answer:
See explanation
Explanation:
According to the atomic theory, when atoms of elements combine, they do so in simple ratios. This means that compounds contain atoms of elements in a fixed ratio irrespective of the source of the compound.
Hence the ratio of hydrogen to oxygen in water is fixed irrespective of the source of the water. Therefore, irrespective of the source from which the water is obtained. The same ratio of hydrogen to oxygen by mass is observed.

5.)Read the excerpt below from Chris Jacobs' narrative called Everlasting. As you read, think about how Jacobs creates an effective anecdote.
The car ride would have been long for a grown-up. For a first-grader, it was eternity. There were no iPads or even Game Boys back then to hold my focus; all I had was my red Thundercats lunchbox, the occasional emerald highway sign to mark our progress, and a tongue that churned out Whys like a Ford factory line.
Why do we have to get up when it's still nighttime? Why am I going to a new school? Why does it have to be so far?
Over the course of the first few weeks—once my mom caught on that these questions were actually complaints, her responses lost some of their patience. Though she handled the daily drives with grace, the bluish bags forming under her eyes told a different story: one about her years spent in poorly-funded, inner-city schools, and the doors that would close on her because of them. But I didn't get to hear that story till years later. For now, I just settled into a frustrated six-year-old silence, my attention flitting to the many switches and buttons in her aging '76 Dodge Aspen.
On one morning's ride, in an attempt to run defense on my mischief, Mom held up my lunchbox.
"Listen," she hushed, giving it three good shakes.
I gasped, my body snapping to attention. Two shakes would have been enough for me to recognize that sound—a deep, delicious clack of candy marbles that could only be—yes, yes, they were—
"Gobstoppers!!" I tore the lunchbox from her hands, pouring its contents onto my lap. "A whole box?!" I squealed.
How is this an effective beginning to the story?
A)It sets up the importance of Gobstoppers in the story.
B)It explains why the author is going to a new school.
C)It tells the main anecdote of the story.
D)It gives the entire background of the author’s childhood.
