Hi, can someone help me with a check this is from Social Studies/History (Ikr? Yea, shocker) But I would really appreciate it if anyone can help! Thanks! :D

You are throwing a birthday party for your best friend. You go to Target to buy the party supplies that will be needed. The cost for these supplies is $88.38. You will need to write a check for $88.38.

Answers

Answer 1

Answer: Well it's a little hard to explain so I hope this helps

Explanation: Step 1: Date the check

Write the date on the line at the top right-hand corner. This step is important so the bank and/or person you are giving the check to knows when you wrote it.

Step 2: Who is this check for?

The next line on the check, “Pay to the order of,” is where you write the name of the person or company you want to pay. You can also just write the word “cash” if you don’t know the person or organization’s exact name. Be aware, though, that this can be risky if the check ever gets lost or stolen. Anybody can cash or deposit a check made out to “cash."

Step 3: Write the payment amount in numbers

There are two spots on a check where you write the amount you are paying. First, you’ll need to write the dollar amount numerically (for example $130.45) in the small box on the right. Be sure to write this clearly so the ATM and/or bank can accurately subtract this amount from your account.

Step 4: Write the payment amount in words

On the line below “Pay to the order of,” write out the dollar amount in words to match the numerical dollar amount you wrote in the box. For example, if you are paying $130.45, you will write “one hundred thirty and 45/100.” To write a check with cents, be sure to put the cents amount over 100. If the dollar amount is a round number, still include “and 00/100” for additional clarity. Writing the dollar amount in words is important for a bank to process a check as it confirms the correct payment total.

Step 5: Write a memo

Filling out the line that says “Memo” is optional, but helpful for knowing why you wrote the check. If you are paying a check for a monthly electric bill or rent, you can write “Electric Bill” or “Monthly Rent” in the memo area. Often when you are paying a bill, the company will ask you to write your account number on the check in the memo area.

Step 6: Sign the check

Sign your name on the line at the bottom right-hand corner using the signature you used when you opened the checking account. This shows the bank that you agree that you are paying the stated amount and to the correct payee. (This is so long sorry)

Read "Mandates Gain Independence." What do you think the word mandates means? Based on this meaning, what does it mean when the text states: ". . . Britain and France were given mandates over large parts of the Middle East"?

Answers

Answer:

A mandate was a former colony controlled by an Allied country. However, those former colonies would still fight for their independence.

Explanation:

After the downfall of Germany and Ottoman Turkey in World War I, their Asian and African colonies were distributed among the victorious Allied powers through mandates, which granted the right to govern the area because they were deemed unable to establish their own governments yet.

When the text claims that Britain and France were given mandates over large parts of the Middle East, it refers to the assignment of Iraq and Palestine to Great Britain, and Syria and Lebanon to France.

In your opinion why was Nelson Mandela successful in his activism in South Africa

Answers

Answer:Nelson Mandela was successful in his activism in South Africa

Explanation-Nelson Mandela is looked a a godly figure for helping end apartheid in South Africa using nonviolent acts. But many people don’t know that Nelson Mandela has a dark side, same as Martin Luther king and ghandi.Nelson Mandela was for decades a man of violence.he broke with African National Congress colleagues who preached non-violence,creating a enemy wing.he also committed acts of public violence, and behind bars sanctioned more, including the 1983 Church St car bomb that ended 19 people lives.Mandela even suggested cutting off the noses of blacks deemed collaborators. His then wife Winnie advocated "necklacing"(a burning tyre around the neck.)Ghandi was a pedofile and a child hurter,he was seen godlike so he got away with this.he used to lay under his kids NAKED.Martin Luther King,King had copied paragraphs wholesale from other sources without attributing them in his dissertation(plagiarism),on the tapes wasn’t communist plotting, however, but intense, nearly constant activities with countless women he met on his travels.King eventually struck the unnamed woman hard enough to knock her across the bed, and that she left soon after. These “godlike” people aren’t godlike even if they did so much for people. They still got away with so much just because they have power.I’m not saying they are good, but I’m not saying they are bad.In my opinion, power like people like Nelson, always have a dark side, you just have to do your research right because they don’t teach you stuff like this in school.
