As smartphone usage in the USA continues to rise, this ubiquitous technology may provide an opportunity to intervene to improve the health of a large proportion of the population.CONCLUSIONSGiven the expected rise in the prevalence of diabetes in the USA, as well as the strong detrimental association between sedentary time and insulin or glucose levels, innovative approaches are needed to break up prolonged sedentary behavior among the large proportion of the population affected by diabetes.
