what would you do if you had superpowers speaking test?

Answers

Answer:

Power to build amazing objects from standard materials

It may sound odd but think on it. If I could create top-end feats of technology by hand with very simple materials, that opens a whole range of options. I can start a tech line, which can of course generate massive amounts of money. Plus, both the home of my alter-ego and my superhero base would be awesome. Think of all the helpful gadgets I could custom-make.

2. Power to generate building materials and tools

This ties into the first one. Now I don’t even need to find the materials, they just are there for me. Helps with secrecy and isolation, because I don’t need anyone else to actually give me this stuff.

3. Shapeshifting

I want to be able to become any animal at will. This helps a ton, because it rolls powers into one. Flying? Turn into an eagle- plus now if anyone sees you they won’t think anything is unusual. Invisibility? Turn into a fly, or even an amoeba. I would prefer if no one knew I could do this, so I would only turn into an animal in the presence of people in a real pinch.

4. Mind Reading

I wouldn’t use it often and I would want to be able to shut it off. I would use mind reading mostly in a practical sense, knowing if someone is lying, who my real friends are, and someone’s next move in a fight.

5. Ice Control

This one is conventional. Just like the movies, I want to be able to shoot ice from my hands, create huge spikes of ice, the whole deal.

6. Heightened Physical Capabilities

I want to be stronger and faster than I am now, but mainly I have this power for reaction time. I want to be able to think and make decisions faster than any other person. Also, I want to be highly attractive, just because.

7. Video Game Creation

Ever thought of a video game but for some reason not had the drive to hire a large team and dedicate years of your life and thousands of dollars to? I know I have! Doubly so because I enjoy very in-depth games that don’t really appeal to the general market and as such are in short supply, like Prison Architect. I want to be able to have any game I think of exist, exactly how I want it and a disc for my Ps4 placed in my bedroom.

Explain how the allusions to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz contribute to the meaning and tone of the story. Use at least two details from the text in your response.

Answers

Hello. You did not present the text to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for it to be answered. However, when searching for your question on the internet, I managed to find another question exactly the same as yours, which showed that the text "A Trip Over The Rainbow" is the text in question. If that's your case, I hope the answer below can help you.

Answer:

The allusions to "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" contribute to a tone of creativity and novelty, as well as reinforcing the meaning of admiration for something.

Explanation:

"A Tripe Over The Raimbow" shows how Ben feels in another reality when admiring the works of his favorite artist. For Ben, the paintings and all the artist's work refer to the idea of the City of Oz, as they are works full of creativity and novelties as wonderful as those presented in "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." In this case, the allusions to "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" reinforce this idea of creativity and novelty, creating the tone of the story.

Allusions are figures of speech that allow a work, person, or place to be cited in a text, causing connections and creating meanings between the text and the cited element.

Explanation:

Read the paragraph from Nick’s personal narrative. Standing alone in my family’s barn, I thought about how much hard work and time my parents had invested—how much hard work and time we had all invested—in maintaining a fully operational farm. I did not remember a time when my clothes had not reeked of manure or my hair had not held fast to brittle pieces of straw. What would happen if my parents had to sell the farm so we could move closer to my grandparents? Just as I was attempting to imagine a life in the city, a sudden commotion erupted and interrupted my thoughts. With animals squawking and dust flying, I scrambled to pinpoint the source of this unexpected intrusion. In seconds that felt more like minutes, I was successful . . . and I could scarcely believe what my eyes were seeing. Which element of a personal narrative would be best for Nick to include next?

Answers

Answer:

If Nick provides a precise description of what he saw, then that will help his narrative have the element of a personal narrative.

Explanation:

A personal narrative is a narration that has or includes a personal experience of the narrator or speaker. It is a story or event from one's personal life and not from someone else.

In the given narrative of Nick, he describes how he was thinking about life on the farm and "imagin[ing] life in the city". Along the next few lines, he said "I could scarcely believe what my eyes were seeing" but did not actually reveal what he saw. So, including the precise description of what he saw or witnessed will give the element of a personal narrative.

The element of a personal narrative which would be best for Nick to include next is:

To show a precise description of what he saw

According to the given question, we are asked to show the element of a personal narrative which would be best for Nick to include next.

As a result of this, we can see that in a personal narrative, the writer has to make a note or narration about a personal experience which he has and is a primary source and the best way Nick would develop his personal narrative would be to add a precise description of what he saw.

What is nature?

Nature includes all living things—animals, plants, and other objects—that were not created by humans, as well as all-natural processes and events.

The food we eat, the air we breathe, and the water we use to irrigate our crops are all gifts from our woods, rivers, oceans, and soils. They provide us with a wide range of additional products and services that are essential to our well-being, happiness, and prosperity. These natural resources are frequently referred to as the world's "natural capital."

It has been discovered that being in nature lowers our stress levels. Beautiful natural landscape and surroundings can seem like a world apart from our daily lives at home and at work, causing us to blame any stress there may be on the environment.

How do fluctuations to the international exchange rate of a nation's currency affect its balances of trade?

Answers

Answer: Influences the price of exports and imports

Explanation:

The value of the exchange rate of a nation's currency can impact how much the country imports or exports which will affect its balance of trade.

For instance, if a country's currency becomes stronger, it would make its exports more expensive (as these are quoted in the domestic currency) which would lead to less of its exports being sold. At the same time however, imports will become cheaper to the people of this country since their currency is stronger. They will therefore import more.

The net effect is that exports decrease and imports increase thereby making the balance of trade worse off. This situation is reversed when the currency becomes weaker.

Read the excerpt from an article. Lewis Township officials have been publicly—and loudly—quarreling for what seems like forever over what to do with the 20-acre lot of land on the north side of Main Street. It seems to me that the decision is easy. A big-box retailer will bring Lewis hundreds of jobs—jobs desperately needed here. What is the writer's primary purpose for writing this article? to persuade the audience to pursue new jobs to persuade the audience to share the writer's point of view to inform the audience about a community issue to inform the audience about a possible opportunity

Answers

Answer:

to persuade the audience to share the writer's point of view

Explanation:

The writer's goal is to persuade the reader to agree and adopt the point of view he is presenting in the text. We can see this when he reinforces the idea of the importance of deciding what will be done with the available 20 acres of space and how it is even more important that this space be used for the good of the population, for the generation of jobs and the strengthening of the city, even if this decision is not easy to make. In other words, he reinforces that this unoccupied space must not remain empty, but rather be used to bring about improvements in the population. This point of view is publicized to attract supporters who agree with what the author thinks.

Which website would be considered the most credible?
one sponsored by a club
one sponsored by a college
one sponsored by a person
one sponsored by a store

Answers

Answer:

A website sponsored by a college would be considered most credible

Answer:

The website sponsored by a college would be most credible.

Explanation:

Of the four options, all have reasons for hosting a website and all have accountability for hosting the website.

One has to weight the agenda of the sponsor against the accountability.

The primary purpose of a club or a person hosting a website is self promotion, either of themselves or their ideas. They are the most subjective of all four examples. They are also the most likely to forego accountability for their own gain (self-promotion.) They are least likely to examine all sides of an issue before publishing an opinion about the issue.

A store's agenda is usually going to be their own profits. Businesses generally prioritize profits over issues and so will publish the perspective of an issue that will generate the most amount of profit or mitigate the most amount of risk. They are accountable to their share holders and any regulations that their industry may have. But neither of those things would prevent a business from publishing only the perspective on the issue that was most favorable to them.

A college's value is based on their reputation. A college's opinion and perspectives on an issue is generally made up of varying, educated perspectives, and carefully concluded so as to be as accurate as possible.

My mother finally went to work as a cook and left me and my brother alone in the flat each day with a loaf of bread and a pot of tea. When she returned at evening she would be tired and sometimes dispirited and would cry a lot. Sometimes, when she was in despair, she would call us to her and talk to us for hours, telling us that we now had no father, that our lives would be different from those of other children, that we must learn as soon as possible to take care of ourselves, to dress ourselves, to prepare our own food; that we must take upon ourselves the responsibility of the flat while she worked.
