Brian's favorite thing was his laptop. He spent most of his day glued to his laptop, playing games, updating his blog, or watching movies, and he rarely spent time outside home with his friends or family. Since he would always keep to himself, his parents were worried about his social life, and one evening during dinner, they decided that they had had enough.
While he was busy playing an online game, his mom said, "Brian, you need to pack a bag with clothes and toiletries for the weekend. We're going camping tomorrow, and we're leaving early."
"Yeah sure, Mom," Brian said, chuckling, but not taking his eyes off the screen.
When his mom didn't respond, he looked up and noticed her serious face. He shut his laptop and gave her a disbelieving look.
"Mom, you can't be serious! I don't want to go camping in some forest without electricity or a network," Brian declared stubbornly.
"We are tired of seeing you glued to your laptop. You need to go outdoors and spend some time with us," his mom said and walked out of the room before he could respond.
The next day, at 5:30 in the morning, in spite of Brian's sleepy protests, his mom woke him up and pushed him into the shower. By 6:30, the family was in the car and ready to head out for the camp. Initially, Brian kept himself busy on his phone, but as they reached the outskirts of their town, the roads became surrounded by thick forests, and he couldn't help but put his phone aside to observe the pleasing scenery outside.
"Is it always so quiet and green out here?" Brian asked in wonder.
"Yes, it is, and maybe if you start coming out with us more often, you would enjoy such things," his father replied. Soon, they finally stopped at their camping spot.
Brian realized he wasn't getting an Internet signal, and he dumped his phone into his bag. He helped his parents set up camp, and in the evening, he gathered firewood so that his mom could cook dinner. This strange routine fascinated him, and he laughed his heart out when, during dinner, his parents shared their funny childhood stories. He was surprised to realize how much he didn't know about his parents. He was awestruck by the dazzling night sky and the sounds of insects. This was a new experience for him, and he was glad that his parents had forced him to go camping.

LIST THE ADJECTIVES
On a snowy morning I woke up and I was very cold. I felt like I was in an ice room and I walked downstairs to turn on the heater and noticed it wasn’t working. I then walked downstairs to try to make some hot tea since I was so cold and noticed the microwave wasn’t working either. I looked in my phone and noticed that the power cut out in many neighborhoods including mine due to the winter storm. I told my parents and my sister and they were shocked and cold as well. We were now wondering how we were gonna get heat and electricity.

Answers

Answer:

snowy, ice, hot, many and winter.

Explanation:

The first adjective here would be 'snowy.'

'Very' wouldn't be an adjective before cold because cold is not a noun.

'Ice' would be one too because it is describing the type of room

'Hot' is an adjective describing the tea.

'Many' would also technically be an adjective because it is describing a plural noun.

'Winter' is an adjective too because it is describing the storm.

What is a conjunction?

A conjunction is a speech unit that joins what is referred to as the conjuncts of the conjunctions, which are words, phrases, or clauses. There may be an overlap between that definition and that of other elements of speech, therefore it is necessary to specify what a "conjunction" is in each language.

Because serves the only function of illuminating the causal connection between a subordinate sentence and a major phrase.

When combining two or more objects, phrases, or sentences, a conjunction is utilized. As they are used to link phrases, they can also be referred to as connectors. The conjunction or message is a rejection of the type of relationship. Thus, the third choice is the correct one.

Mice and men chapter 6 summary

Answers

Answer:

The final chapter begins with Lennie waiting in the brush for George to arrive. His anxious mood is contrasted with the peaceful surroundings. Lennie becomes so agitated that he hallucinates. First, he sees his Aunt Clara, who has been dead for years, scolding him for doing bad things. Then she disappears and a giant rabbit appears before Lennie's eyes, telling him that George is going to be mad at him and he's going to beat him up.  Finally, George emerges and comforts Lennie. George tells Lennie that what he has done doesn't matter and that they can still fulfil their dream. George hears the sound of men in the distance. He has Lennie look across the river so he can almost see it and once again George describes the little farm that they will someday own. As he describes the farm, George takes Carlson's gun out of his jacket. He tells Lennie that he's not mad and that they're going to go to that farm really soon, and then he shoots Lennie right in the back of the head. Lennie dies instantly, just as Candy's dog did.

The men come up and see Lennie lying dead on the ground. Slim understands what George did because he knows about their history together, but the other men want to know what happened. George lies and says that Lennie had stolen the gun, so George had to wrestle it away from him and then shot him in self defense. This story isn't terribly plausible considering the gun shot is in the back of his head, but the men don't question it.  George finally realizes that the loss of his best friend also means the loss of his dream. He will have to live with knowing he killed Lennie for the rest of his life. This death parallels the death of Candy's dog and was also foreshadowed by the escalating deaths of the mouse, the puppy, and Curley's wife. It also ties together the theme of the need for companionship because without Lennie George is no different from any of the other workers who travel alone and have no one to care about them.

This brief novel touches upon many important topics including the plight of the migrant workers during the Great Depression, racism and sexism during that time as well as the lack of care or facilities for the disabled.
