Do you believe in ghosts? Why or why not? Do you believe that people can return from the dead and appear as ghosts? Explain.

Answers

Answer 1
I do not believe in ghost. I think when we die we reincarnate as a new person.
Answer 2

Answer:

I'm a bit late to answer but yes, I think I am somewhat connected to the spiritual world. I sometimes see floating auras and I have communicated twice. My very father has haunted me, when you die and you were rude to someone or hurt someone or visa versa, you come back to fix what has been broken. My dad was really rude to me while hes was alive, after his death while doing things that would be connected to him, (like doing things he would like to do) very weird things would happen until one day I connected the dots and quietly said "I forgive you". Nothing weird involving him has happened since. There is also the ghost of a 17 year old boy in my room who I have spoken with but he does not wish for his story to be told.

IS UNCHOOPPING a tree possible? What does the writer ask us to do indirectly

Answers

First and foremost, it should be very clear that unchopping a tree has never been possible. Although in the essay “Unchopping a Tree”, the writer has given us instructions for repairing a tree if it is cut down, both the writer and the readers know the fact that this task is impossible. So, we can say that this essay has been written in pseudo directive style. As it is clear that unchopping a tree is never possible, the essay has another message. The message is that if we cannot unchop a tree, it is better not to chop down trees. In other words, this essay indirectly suggests us we should preserve the environment.

The story is set in a small house late into a stormy night, which is where the seventh man tells his story.

Explanation:

The short story “The Seventh Man”, by Haruki Murakami, is actually narrated in the third person, but most of the story is narrated in first person because most of it consists of the seventh man telling his story to the group of people huddled in the house. The seventh man tells his story in a serious tone, empty of humor and lightness. His words are laden with dark sadness and grief from what he has had to experience as a young child.

Answer:

Independent clauses linked without a conjunction - Hang gliding is a popular pastime; it takes skill and a bit of daring.

An introductory participial phrase - Walking without a cane, the old man tried to escape unnoticed.

A mark indicating that a list will follow - These colors were chosen for the school: purple, green, and white.

A comma linking two independent clauses - Christ was equal with God, but He willingly became a servant.

A sentence demonstrating direct address - You seem to have found, my good friend, a real peace in life.

Explanation:

When a sentence consists of multiple independent clauses, they need to be connected by a conjunction preceded by a comma or a semicolon (like in the sentence: Hang gliding is a popular pastime; it takes skill and a bit of daring.)

Introductory participial phrases are phrases that contain participles and are located at the beginning of the sentence. Participles are forms of verbs used as adjectives. They end in -ed, -ing or -en.

The mark that indicates that a list will follow is the colon.

Direct address involves the use of a person's name or title to address that person directly.

The deliberate irony Orwell uses is called doublespeak, which is when words are used not to convey meaning – but to undermine it – corrupting the very ideas that they refer to. "War is Peace" is one of 1984's doublespeak slogans. WHAT ARE THE OTHER TWO DOUBLESPEAK SLOGANS? *

Answers

Answer:

Other doublespeak slogans are:

1. Freedom Is Slavery

2. Ignorance Is Strength

Explanation:

George Orwell, in his book, 1984 portrayed the use of doublespeak (doublethink). Doublespeak is a form of language which seeks to deliberately distort and reverse the meaning of words.

In his book, 1984, the Party used doublespeak (doublethink) as part of their campaigning which spreads propaganda and goes further to manipulate the public and even leadership. It is the ability of holding two beliefs that are contradictory and believed to be true.

So, in his book, the doublespeak examples that are seen are: War Is Peace, Freedom Is Slavery and Ignorance Is Strength.

- the use of ordinary or familiar words or phrases.

Hope this helps and have a great day :)

And please mark me brainliest if you can :)

Answer is Colloquialisms.

This is because words like “gonna,” “wanna,” “woulda” are all informal while “going to,” “want to,” and “would have” are all examples of formal words. Colloquialisms are informal words and “gonna” is an example of such. The informal words listed above are really slang words rather than proper words. These informal words are often or should be used when speaking to a friend or family instead of a boss or administrator. So yes, these are Colloquialisms. I really hoped I helped you !

In this excerpt, the author shows how terrible conditions can cause people to be unsympathetic to the pain of others. How does the memoir genre enable the author to achieve this purpose? He is able to include facts to support his story. He is able to remain objective about what is happening. He is able to share his observations about one event in depth. He is able to provide an in-depth look about why the woman is shouting.

Answers

Read the excerpt from chapter 2 of Night. And so an hour or two passed. Another scream jolted us. The woman had broken free of her bonds and was shouting louder than before: "Look at the fire! Look at the flames! Flames everywhere . . .” Once again, the young men bound and gagged her. When they actually struck her, people shouted their approval: "Keep her quiet! Make that madwoman shut up. She’s not the only one here . . .” She received several blows to the head, blows that could have been lethal. Her son was clinging desperately to her, not uttering a word. He was no longer crying.

Answer:

Explanation:

Next day his luggage arrived through the slush—and very remarkable luggage it was. There were a couple of trunks indeed, such as a rational man might need, but in addition there were a box of books—big, fat books, of which some were just in an incomprehensible handwriting—and a dozen or more crates, boxes, and cases, containing objects packed in straw, as it seemed to Hall, tugging with a casual curiosity at the straw—glass bottles.
Which is the best meaning for incomprehensible as it is used in the selected sentence?
A) unorganized; scattered
B) having no limits; boundless
C) impossible to fathom or imagine
D) difficult or impossible to understand or comprehend; unintelligible

Answers

Answer:

D). Difficult or impossible to understand or comprehend:  Unintelligible.

Explanation:

The word 'incomprehensible' denotes 'anything beyond understanding or something that is unable to be explained or comprehended.'

In the given sentence, the most appropriate meaning of this word would be 'unintelligible' which implies 'difficult or indeed impossible to understand.' It connotes 'an unclear or inexplicable idea.' The synonyms of the word could be 'indecipherable, inarticulate, incoherent, impenetrable, etc.' Another sentence using the word could be:

'His sudden anger at the party was incomprehensible(beyond understanding) to the entire crowd out there.'

Therefore, option D is the correct answer.
