Answer:
Story on the title "never go anywhere without telling anyone about it".
Explanation:
Never go anywhere without telling anyone about it.Till I remember, it was evening time. I and my few friends were enjoying and wandering, away from our homes by the slope of hillside into that barren land. It was the month of April. Nobody had expected that what we experienced the next- A black mountain of clouds started gathering and in no time, it started raining cats and dogs. We had not expected that to happen, that too, in an instant.
Running as fast as our legs will carry us, we began frantically looking for any safe shelter to keep out of the downpour. But considering we had ventured to the barren side of the hill, it wasn't a complete surprise to not find any sheltering spot. We had to scamper down to the biggest tree with its branches spreading out. Though it wasn't exactly a safe spot, it nevertheless kept us safe to a certain extent. But as it doesn't seem like the rains have any intention of stopping, we decided it's better to get drenched and go home as it is getting dark too. If we decide to stay longer, we would be in even greater trouble.
Feeling cold, drenched, weak, and scared, we walked back, not even able to run for we were all so tired. It took us almost an hour to get back to the village, and everyone was so shocked to see us. When we reached our homes, our parents were so relieved. They had been so worried and were even about to organize a search party to get to us if we hadn't turned up in the next hour. And the matter was serious, for we hadn't told anyone when we went out so they were all thinking we had been to one of our friend's place.
The teaching that we got that day will always remain with us for one specific reason. Our parents had no knowledge we had ventured to the very place where there had been so many deaths in the past year. We had also known and heard of the murders but we didn't know it was in that very same barren lands. The land had been a curse for so long that no one even dared to venture out. Added to that, we didn't inform anyone when we went out. So, it was a huge wake-up call for us children to always inform our parents whenever we had to go anywhere.
From that day onwards, we learned a valuable lesson to not venture so far out, away from the village, and also to always let others know where we are going or if we are going out. It is always better to let others know about our whereabouts than regretting it later after things get worse.

Which sentence in this excerpt from Mark Twain's "The £1,000,000 Bank-Note" is an example of hyperbole? I would have picked up the pear now and eaten it before all the world, but it was gone; so I had lost that by this unlucky business, and the thought of it did not soften my feeling toward those men. As soon as I was out of sight of that house I opened my envelope, and saw that it contained money! My opinion of those people changed, I can tell you! I lost not a moment, but shoved note and money into my vest-pocket, and broke for the nearest cheap eating-house. Well, how I did eat! When at last I couldn't hold any more, I took out my money and unfolded it, took one glimpse and nearly fainted. Five millions of dollars! Why, it made my head swim. I must have sat there stunned and blinking at the note as much as a minute before I came rightly to myself again. The first thing I noticed, then, was the landlord. His eye was on the note, and he was petrified. He was worshiping, with all his body and soul, but he looked as if he couldn't stir hand or foot. I took my cue in a moment, and did the only rational thing there was to do. I reached the note towards him, and said, carelessly: "Give me the change, please."
Answer:
“ I would have picked up the pear now and eaten it before all the world“
Explanation:
A hyperbole often means the use of exaggeration, examples of this can often be overlooked. Here, it is said that the narrator wiohld eat a pear before “all the world”, which is definitely an exaggeration because that is technically not possible. It is subtle, but a good example
I reached the note towards him, and said, carelessly: "Give me the change, please."
What is hyperbole?Hyperbole is a figure of speech that involves exaggeration for emphasis or effect.
It is a literary device used in both poetry and prose to create vivid, memorable, and sometimes humorous descriptions. Hyperbole can be used to express strong emotions, emphasize a point, or make a statement more dramatic.
Some examples of hyperbole include:
"I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse." - This exaggerates the speaker's hunger to emphasize their intense desire for food.
"The backpack weighed a ton." - This exaggerates the weight of the backpack to emphasize how heavy it felt.
"I have a million things to do today." - This exaggerates the number of tasks the speaker has to emphasize their overwhelming workload.

This question is incomplete because the options are missing; here is the complete question:
The best way to make inferences is to combine background knowledge with _____or the proof in the details provided in the text.
A. Conflict
B. Evidence
C. Setting
D. Resolution
The correct answer to this question is B. Evidence
Explanation:
Making inferences implies to draw reasonable conclusions. This process involves analyzing the evidence of the text because this is the support of the inference and using background knowledge or information you already know.
For example, if the text describes one character decided not to study for an important test even though he was not an expert in the subject, it can be inferred the character will most likely fail the test because the evidence in the text shows the character is not prepared for the test and based on background knowledge such as personal experience, you can conclude the consequence is that the character will not pass the exam. Thus, the best way to make inferences is to combine background knowledge with evidence provided in the text.
You read Saki’s short story “The Interlopers.” You also learned the ways in which subjects and themes differ and the techniques that authors use to express theme. In the next task, you will use these skills to evaluate “The Interlopers.” Part A Consider what you have learned about subject and theme in literature. What is the subject, and what is one central theme in this story? How does the author introduce and develop this theme throughout the text?
Answer:
First let's take into account the distinction between such a theme and a subject. A subject is an issue which has been briefly expressed-in this case, evolution. But from the other side, a theme is also an idea or angle about that particular topic. It's typically presented as a paragraph or even as a expression.
The major idea in this scenario would be natural world 's ability over human beings as well as their childish interests. (Other themes could be nature versus human life or human society; living thing intrusion into natural world never has repercussions, etc.)
Even the first statement demonstrates the force of existence. The Carpathian woods appears to be frightening on a cold night as well as Ulrich's diligence confirms that. Although but he has a gun and awaits the arrival of Georg, we can't help feeling but he's an inherently weak and frail guy.
Later, as the two adversaries come to come and fight over the ground, nature reaffirms its dominance as the massive branch overturns them and damages them. This is what binds everyone close-but it 's not long. Also as they unite they seem to be a pack of rabid dogs.
Answer:
The subject of the story is a conflict over land between the two main characters, Georg Znaeym and Ulrich von Gradwitz, and their families. The author describes how there was a lawsuit over the land, but that the losing family was not satisfied with the decision.
One of the central themes of the story is that nature is indifferent to humans. For example, the author shows that the feud between the two men surrounds the ownership of the forest they are both in. However, when they do come face to face in the story, a tree falls on them, trapping them both underneath.
The author also develops this theme by implying that while both Znaeym and Gradwitz call out for their men, they are instead found by wolves.
