Write a report on a type of ballad known as a lullaby

A lullaby is a form of ballad which is usually sung to children to soothe them to sleep. The word lullaby comes from two words, lull, which means to sooth or lull, and by, which means goodbye. Most lullabies are short refrains using simple language and a steady sing-song rhythm. "Rock-a-Bye Baby" is a well-known example of a lullaby.

Your assignment is to find a lullaby and write a short report on it. Look in music books, children's books, or other resources to select a lullaby. Use the list below to record important information about the lullaby you selected. Does it have a special meaning to you and your family?
