Select the correct description for the line of poetry below “Little Lamb, who made thee?"
two accented syllables
five feet
O six feet
iambic pentameter
Otrochaic trimeter

Answers

The correct answer is E. Trochaic trimeter

Explanation:

In poems, verses usually follow a strict structure of accented/ unstressed syllables known as metric. In the case of the trochaic trimeter, this is composed of three (trimeter) trochees, which are the combination of one stressed syllable and one unstressed syllable. This means in total there are 6 syllables and three trochees (poetic feet).

This occurs in the line “Little Lamb, who made thee?" because there are six syllables "Li/ttle/Lamb /who/made/thee?" and each pair of syllables includes a stressed syllable and one unstressed syllable or three trochees  Li/ttle/Lamb /who/made/thee? (stressed syllables are in bold)

Paraphasing in the above text is incorrect.

Explanation:

Whenever you paraphrase your text, it is necessary that, after the paragraph ends, you reference the source where you found the idea presented. This reference must be placed in parentheses, where you will put the author's last name and the year of publication of the source.

In the example above, although the individual who wrote the paraphrase had the intention of referring to the source where he found this idea, the reference was presented incorrectly, making the paraphrase a plagiarism.

An epic is a long narrative poem in which a heroic protagonist engages in an action of great mythic or historical significance. What is mythical about Beowulf's battles?

Answers

Answer:

The fight with the monsters and dragons makes it a mythical battle.

Explanation:

Beowulf is an epic narrative that tells the heroic deeds of the protagonist Beowulf. This epic narrative tells of the life of Beowulf and how he came to save the Geats from the monstrous Grendel and his mother.

Myths are those stories of legends that tell the heroic deeds of the human and his victory over the gods, demi-gods, and other supernatural elements such as monsters. In that sense, Beowulf is also a myth in that he battles the monster Grendel and his mother, and also fought against a dragon. The presence or involvement of the monsters and dragons made it a mythical story.

When she was about five years old, her mother started to have a relationship with a man - a man she refers to as "Dan" in this story. Rosavella enjoyed spending time with Dan. He would play with her and her sister, buy them gifts and join them on vacations. At first, Dan treated Rosavella and her sister as if they were his own children, and Rosavella's mother was so happy to have found a father figure for them - a perfect family.

Overtime, Rosavella's relationship with Dan dramatically changed. He would come into her room late at night, and he would do inappropriate things to her. He would stare at her, touch her arms and waist, and make her feel incredibly uncomfortable. But because Rosavella was so young, she believed Dan when he told her he was just tucking her in and saying goodnight.

One specific time, Dan took Rosavella into his room. He put her on the bed and began touching her inappropriately. She screamed out and squealed so loudly that her sister ran in, but by the time she entered the room, Dan began tickling her to cover up his horrendous actions.

Eventually, Rosavella's sister found out what Dan was really doing. Her mom was completely devastated and took Rosavella to the police station, and they soon realized that what Dan was doing was illegal. They went to trial, but because there wasn't enough evidence, Dan was able to go free.

Rosavella's experience with abuse deeply affected her. She received counselling, but it caused her to have panic attacks and nightmares. She wishes that she had been more aware of what Dan was doing to her when she was younger. When she looks back on the past, she could say to herself, "I was hurt by someone I thought I could trust." However, she is taking a positive approach by vowing to help other people who may be going through a similar situation. She is strong and resilient, and she wants to share her story with the world to educate others. Now she wishes that she hadn't trusted him.

Vaping is not good for the human body

I said that vaping is not good because it puts bad stuff in your lungs like nickel and lead. I could prove this because it was on a spotify ad.

I learned that when you vape, it's like spraying hair spray in your lungs. And it also went with my thing about toxic metals.

Jeff sat next to Bob and Jeff said that vaping is like inhaling all the good vitamins for the day. Bob then said no, it isn't like that.

I then said that vaping could give you vitamins, but maybe not the good ones that you don't want in your body.

Bob also had seen the spotify ad about vaping and he looked up that it was not an actual vape monster in it and that it was just there to represent that vaping is like a silent and small monster that is not good for you.

Jeff said that the monster was real, but he didn't have any evidence to prove it was real, but Bob did.

All the evidence that Bob had made it really easy to know which is a better thing to do, which was to vape, or not to vape.

I made sure the language was appropriate by looking at it and making sure everything was spelled correctly and the correct grammar was used. I used formal language.
