Before 509 B.C., a king ruled Rome. Then, the city established the Roman Republic with power divided among 3 branches of government. Why do you think the Romans wanted to govern themselves in this way?

Answers

Answer:

There were not "branches" of government in the modern sense with the judiciary separated from the legislature and the executive.  But Ammianus is not correct that the Senate had "all" the power either.  The Senate appointed the Consuls each year (the executives, who effectively took the place of kings) and pretty much all the other officials.  Senate resolutions (consults) had virtually the force of law.  The Senate itself could act as a judiciary over its own members, particularly in cases of treason and such, and the officials they appointed had judicial as well as executive powers in their respective jurisdictions.

But there were also other, broader assemblies, of the army, the citizens, and the plebs (the membership of which would have overlapped a lot), and each of those had genuine powers.  Formal written laws (leges) had to be voted in by the citizen assembly - they couldn't be simply decreed by the senate, and they had more weight than senate consults.  Perhaps most importantly, the tribunes of the plebs had veto power over the acts of any official, which was a protection of the rights of common citizens against abuse by patricians.

The whole thing had begun with revolt against the abuses of corrupt kings.  The senate had probably been a council of nobles advising the kings before that.  With the kings gone, the senate took control, and the appointment of consuls was a way to have someone fill the roles kings had played like leading the army.  Over the first couple of centuries of the republic, there was great civil strife between patricians (nobles in the senate) and plebeians (commoners), particularly over burdens of military service and taxation.  The outcome of it was the growth of the plebeian assembly's powers and the tribunes, and the creation of a system that would admit leading plebeians as well as patricians to the senate's ranks through public service.  So it all evolved in response to the demands of the time.(Answer not mine)

write in short about the ancient culture of nepal

Answers

Answer:

Nepal is a roughly rectangular country with an area of 147,181 square miles (381,200 square kilometers). To the south, west, and east it is bordered by Indian states; to the north lies Tibet. Nepal is home to the Himalayan Mountains, including Mount Everest. From the summit of Everest, the topography plunges to just above sea level at the Gangetic Plain on the southern border. This drop divides the country into three horizontal zones: the high mountains, the lush central hills, and the flat, arid Terai region in the south. Fast-moving, snow-fed rivers cut through the hills and mountains from north to south, carving deep valleys and steep ridges. The rugged topography has created numerous ecological niches to which different ethnic groups have adapted. Although trade has brought distinct ethnic groups into contact, the geography has created diversity in language and subsistence practices. The result is a country with over thirty-six ethnic groups and over fifty languages.

This is actually a big answer, but you can choose some points from it. Not necessary you need to write the entire thing.

What was the reign of Cuban president Fulgencio Batista like?

Answers

Answer: Very much controlling and organized

He was president for along time, created the 1940 constitution, ran for president again. This shows that he had planned what he wanted to do in the future.

Fulgencio Batista ruled Cuba twice, coming to power via a coup both times. During his first period of power (1933–44) he was corrupt and enriched himself.

Who was Fulgencio Batista?

Until he was toppled in the Cuban Revolution in 1959, Fulgencio Batista y Zaldvar was a Cuban military officer as well as a politician who presided as the country's elected president from 1940 to 1944 and as its military dictator from 1952 to 1959 with support from the United States.

As part of the coup that toppled the government of Gerardo Machado in 1933, Batista oversaw a rebellion known as the Sergeants' Revolt. Carlos Manuel de Céspedes y Quesada succeeded Machado, but he quickly lost favor since he lacked a strong political base.

The 26th of July Movement's overthrow of Fulgencio Batista's administration and the installation of a new Cuban government under the leadership of Fidel Castro in 1959 constitute the Cuban Revolution.

For centuries, people have believed myths and misconceptions about psychological disorders and the people who suffer from them. Modern psychological research has allowed us to correct some of these misconceptions. As a result, many people have changed their ideas about mental and emotional disorders. Think of a common misconception you have observed in society or in your personal experience. How could information from research be used to change people's views of psychological disorders

Answers

Answer and Explanation:

A common misconception about people with mental illness is that they are crazy. Although madness and insanity are mental illnesses, there are several different illnesses, where people have mastery over their mental faculties, but they present disorders outside of madness and which can be treated and controlled, allowing that person to have the most normal life possible .

This type of stereotype is very harmful because it ends up embarrassing and saddening people who are already suffering from personal problems. In this case, it is important that scientific research endeavors to diagnose mental illnesses very accurately and disseminate information about them, allowing the population to know about them, reducing prejudice about them.

when and how did the earth originate?

Answers

Answer:

Earth is the largest of the inner planets and was created like all the remaining planets in the Solar System, approximately 4.6 billion years ago. The early Earth was formed by the collision and fusion of smaller rock fragments, the so-called planetesimals

Explanation:

Scientists estimate that the Earth began to form about 4.6 billion years ago. Protoplanets had to experience various collisions, so that the Earth as a planet originated from the collision of several protoplanets. Each collision released a large amount of energy, and the larger protoplanets contracted under their own gravitational influence. A last collision caused the creation of a celestial body the approximate size of the present Earth, that has received the name of proto-Earth. The early Earth was a hot volcanic body. The metal reached the melting point and the denser material sank and formed the core, while the lighter materials rose and became the mantle and crust. This is how the layers of the Earth were formed. Little by little the planet lowered its temperature, many of the impact craters were covered with water, photosynthetic organisms appeared and an atmosphere was formed, all of which would give the conditions that make the planet the place of life.
