This house isn't perfect, but it's where my babies grew up. I know it all by heart. I know every stain on the carpet, every creaking floorboard, and every paint chip on the windowsills. Each corner of this small space is filled with memories that I relive when I walk through the narrow hallways.

Answers

The two sets of lines in this excerpt from T.S. Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock that suggests that the speaker is concerned about how he   relates to others are:

There will be time, there will be time

To prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet;

-(They will say: "How his hair is growing thin!")

My morning coat, my collar mounting firmly to the chin,

My necktie rich and modest, but asserted by a simple pin—

The message of the short story is that although the woman is being treated as a crazy person, she continues doing what makes her happy, which is her garden full of flowers. It's also about how people pay so little attention when they walk, they don't see what's in front of them, something that could give them happiness like this garden.

Explanation:

This is a short story about a woman that gets her garden cut off because it was "dangerous", however, she says that people like her garden and that they smell the flowers and smile when they are there. When these people cut her garden off, she starts thinking about the seeds she's going to plant and how her garden will be next summer.

Dear Cousin,

You wouldn't believe what my class and I did yesterday, you would have loved it! My school hosted this really cool event! It's called an "International Food Fair", and basically what my class had to do was choose a country and represent it! We chose France, inspired by how they helped the United States during the revolution. I know you love France, I should have gotten pictures. We had an entire area set up, even with food you'd typically find in France! Basically we all went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of supplies, some of the more artistic students helped put things together to make it look neater, you know it would look like a clown woke up on the wrong side of the bed if I was in charge of that! They painted the France flag on a poster board and hung it up above our station, we had jars with mini flags in them with dyed flowers, France colors! It was great, we had a blast! We even learned some French via Oogle Translate, and had fun trying out our best "French Accents". My favorite part of all were the baguettes. Man they were good! You really missed out. I can't wait until we do this again next year! However, I would say we could have done more scripting then we did. I noticed when questions were asked, we'd hesitate. If only we wrote up a bunch of stuff so everyone knew what to say to a certain scenario, it would have been more smooth. The pros outweigh the cons, however, and it was a very fun time!

Until next time, your favorite (and only) Cousin.

What is The Maze Runner"?

The revelation that Thomas and Teresa were involved in the creation of the Maze and the trials that the Gladers have been subjected to is likely to have a profound impact on the rest of the book for several reasons. Firstly, it will change the dynamic between the characters, as they will now be forced to confront the fact that they have been deceived by their own kind. This revelation is likely to create a sense of betrayal among the Gladers, who had trusted Thomas and Teresa and relied on them to help them solve the mystery of the Maze.Secondly, this revelation will add a new layer of complexity to the story. Until this point, the story had been focused on the Gladers' attempts to solve the mystery of the Maze and escape from their captivity

How does Stevenson present the character of Jekyll in the "incident of the letter"

Answers

Mr. Utterson goes immediately to Dr. Jekyll's residence and is admitted by Poole, who takes him out of the house and across a former garden to the "dissecting rooms." They enter, climb a flight of stairs, enter a door covered with imitation red felt and, at last, Utterson sees Dr. Jekyll, "looking deadly sick." He is alone and sitting beside a fireplace in a dim, dusty-windowed room. Utterson asks him if he has heard the news about Sir Danvers. Jekyll says that he heard the paperboys yelling about it earlier. Utterson is firm. He asks only one question of the doctor: Surely his old friend has not been "mad enough" to have hidden Hyde. Jekyll assures Utterson that he will never again set eyes on Hyde, that Hyde is "quite safe," and that he will never be heard of again. Utterson is concerned, however, and betrays his anxiety for his old friend Jekyll.

In The HIke how does the narrator depict the character of Mr.arseno?

Answers

Answer:

Mr. Ben was depicted as an adventurous man, who did not listen to warnings.

Explanation:

In "The Hike", by Drew Magary, the main character, Ben was a business man who left his wife Teresa and three children to go on a trip to Philadelphia. There, he decided to go on a hike even after he was told that there was no path or trail for people to go on a hike by the woman who managed the hotel.

His insistence resulted in a troublesome adventure where he encountered so many weird incidents like the dog-faced men who killed people. He met his former school mate who disappeared in the morning and an old woman named Mrs. Blackwell who promised to lead him to Courtshire. In summary, it was a very scary adventure that caused him to get lost in the path.

In “The Hike” written by Drew Magary, the narrator depicts the character of Mr. Arseno as a fun and easy-going guy. He is also described as an adventurous guy, but he never listened to any warnings.

“The Hike” written by Drew Magary

The answer is further explained as given below:

• The main character Ben was an adventurous person, who left behind his life to go on a hike. He was also a little careless, as he did not listen to the warning given to him that there was no path for hiking, in the area which he was headed to.

• After not listening to the warnings, Ben had a lot of weird incidents happen to him and he faced a lot of things in his path, and he also lost his path due to it.

Therefore, the correct answer is that the narrator describes Mr. Arseno as a fun-loving guy who could be a little careless sometimes.

How does Joe Dagget feel during his visit with Louisa?
A.
He is uncomfortable in Louisa's house.
B.
Louisa amuses him and makes him laugh.
C.
He feels awkward about expressing his love for Louisa.

A New England Nun
by Mary E. Wilkins Freeman

In about half an hour Joe Dagget came. She heard his heavy step on the walk and rose and took off her pink and white apron. Under that was still another—white linen with a little cambric edging on the bottom; that was Louisa's company apron. She never wore it without her calico sewing apron over it unless she had a guest. She had barely folded the pink and white one with methodical haste and laid it in a table drawer when the door opened and Joe Dagget entered. He seemed to fill up the whole room. A little yellow canary that had been asleep in his green cage at the south window woke up and fluttered wildly, beating his little yellow wings against the wires. He always did so when Joe Dagget came into the room.

"Good-evening," said Louisa. She extended her hand with a kind of solemn cordiality.

"Good-evening, Louisa," returned the man, in a loud voice.

She placed a chair for him, and they sat facing each other, with the table between them. . . .

Presently, Dagget began fingering the books on the table. There was a square red autograph album and a Young Lady's Gift-Book, which had belonged to Louisa's mother. He took them up one after the other and opened them; then laid them down again, the album on the Gift-Book.

Louisa kept eyeing them with mild uneasiness. Finally she rose and changed the position of the books, putting the album underneath. That was the way they had been arranged in the first place.

Dagget gave an awkward little laugh. "Now what difference did it make which book was on top?" he said.

Louisa looked at him with a deprecating smile. "I always keep them that way," she murmured.

"You do beat everything," said Dagget, trying to laugh again. His large face was flushed.

Adapted from Mary E. Wilkins Freeman's "A New England Nun," 1899.
