Read The Passages. How Is Passage 2 Most Different From Passage 17OA. It Presents The Son In A More Favorable

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

OA. It presents the son in a more favorable light.

Explanation:

From the first passage, the first son rebelled and squandered his inheritance before realising his mistake and coming back

However, in the second one, the son is described as rebellious but also he helped his father out and didn't take his inheritance and squander.

Therefore, he is presented in a more favorable light when compared to the first son.

2. Identify all of the COMMON nouns in the following sentence. The kings 4 points
in Mesopotamia were expected to protect the city, provide laws, order,
and justice. *
Mesopotamia
city
laws
justice
expected
kings

Answers

Answer:

City, laws, justice, kings.

Explanation:

To answer this question, you must first know what a noun is, which is a person, place, or thing. Look through the list, and you will find out that expected is not a person, place, or thing; it is a verb.

Now you're left with Mesopotamia, city, laws, justice, and kings. A quick tip amongst nouns is that capitalized and eponymous (something that is given a name to) nouns are most probably proper nouns, which is not what we're looking for here. Cross out Mesopotamia, and you are finished.

argumentative writing claim about eating in class

Answers

Answer:

I believe that snacks should be allowed in class.

Often students have to rush home with little time to eat breakfast because of how early school is, and have to spend the time getting ready. Taking a shower, brushing teeth, hair, clothes, gathering school supplies, having to get to their bus stop on time, or the time they have to leave depending on how far away they live from the school.

From this, most students have little time to eat a full breakfast, and have to wait long hours until they are able to eat again depending on what time their lunch is. The hunger will decrease their work done, and overall productivity in classes. Students may feel sick, tired, get headaches, get shaky, get light headed, have a more fowl mood, and have lack of energy. These are all symptoms of being hungry that could easily be fixed by allowing snacks.

Food can cause distractions in the classroom as not everyone will bring food, or people will ask for some and will be distracted by the food. I propose that just like in elementary school, we have a set "snack time" in one or two of our classes where we can eat snacks for a short period of time to fuel up and bring back up our productivity. There can be regulations on what we bring, to weed out unhealthy things like chips, candy, sweets, and other things.

Allowing students to have snacks in school will not only help them with their productivity in school, but increase their mood, and allow them to have more time in the mornings to get ready for school instead of having to worry that they wont be able to eat any food till lunch.

What is a poem ?

These are the words and feeling or the expressions expressed in poetry.

A poem's rhyme scheme is the pattern of end rhymes in its lines. It is often represented using letters of the alphabet to indicate which lines rhyme with each other. For example, if a poem has a rhyme scheme of "ABAB," it means that the first and third lines rhyme with each other, and the second and fourth lines rhyme with each other.

There are many different types of rhyme schemes, and they can be used to create different effects in a poem. Some common examples include:

AABB: The first and second lines rhyme with each other, and the third and fourth lines rhyme with each other. This is sometimes called a "couplet" rhyme scheme.

ABAB: The first and third lines rhyme with each other, and the second and fourth lines rhyme with each other. This is sometimes called a "cross" rhyme scheme.

ABBA: The first and fourth lines rhyme with each other, and the second and third lines rhyme with each other. This is sometimes called a "enclosed" rhyme scheme.

AAAA: All four lines rhyme with each other. This is sometimes called a "monorhyme" or "aaaa" rhyme scheme.

Therefore, Rhyme schemes can also be more complex, with multiple sets of rhymes or variations within a single poem.

They didn't reach an agreement
their differences.
on account of
due. because
owing

Answers

Answer:

They didn't reach an agreement on account of their differences.

Explanation:

In the given sentence, the necessary word(s) to be put in the blank will be suggestive of the 'cause' of the first part of the sentence. While the first part contains the effect' of the 'cause', completing the whole sentence depends on the part or parts of the phrase needed.

The given options "on account of", "due", "because" or "owing" are all valid to be used in the given sentence. But considering the form and structure of the sentence, the blank will be filled by "on account of".

To use the other options, we would need to add more to the already given words. We cannot simply write "they didn't reach an agreement due/owing/because their differences." For "due" and "owing", it needs "to" to make the sentence whole. Likewise, "because" requires "of" to be usable. If we add these words to the already given words, then the sentence can become

they didn't reach an agreement due to/ because of/ owing to their differences. But these options are wrong as the words are incomplete.

Thus, the correct answer is "on account of".

They didn't reach an agreement on account of their differences.
