Which statement explains how planets move in orbit as supported by Newton’s first law of motion?

Planets can change the direction of their own orbital path.
Planets can change orbits due to their inertia.
Planets in motion will have a constant speed unless acted on by an outside force.
Planets with a greater mass will orbit more quickly than smaller planets.

Add all the net forces together and that number will be your new net force and that’s how it done
If the arrows are in the same direction then you have to add them. If the arrows are in opposite you have to take away. For example for question 5 8-4=4 so thE net force will be 4 and the arrow will be left as 8N is bigger. For question 4 they are in the same direction so you add them it will be 9N to the right. For question 3 they are in opposite so it will be 0 and both arrows are equal so the net force is 0 and then object is stationary

Hope this helps

A push on a 1-kg brick accelerates it. Neglecting friction, equally accelerating a 10-kg brick requires 10 times as much force. Using your knowledge of Newton’s Second Law, explain why this is correct.

How would conditions on Earth be different if its axis did not tilt? *
A There would be no seasons.
B There would be no years.
C There would be no temperature
D The equator would not be as warm in winter.

Answers

If the earth didn't have a tilt, we wouldn't have seasons. Instead, the environment would be unchanging, and the temperature would vary upon latitude. Equatorial regions would be constantly hot and humid, and polar regions would always be cold. There would no variability to the climate as the year progresses.
I think the answer is C
