Why did European nations face financial challenges after World War I?

Answers

Answer:

They needed to rebuild destroyed infrastructure. They needed to repay money they had borrowed.

Explanation:

How did European imperialism influence Asia? Low Chinese demand for European goods led British traders to deal in opium, creating addicts and triggering a war. Chinese merchants transported European goods from ports to the interior of China, strengthening the economies of Asia. European nations overthrew local leaders to establish a trade network, reducing the profits of the Chinese tea industry. Shipments of European silver flooded the Asian markets, devaluing local currencies and causing an economic depression.

Answers

Answer:

Low Chinese demand for European goods led British traders to deal in opium, creating addicts and triggering a war.

Explanation:

The Chinese had always restricted trade with Europe and were not interested in their goods.

However, when the British were willing to trade opium for silver, the Chinese were interested because silver was used in China for currency.

But, the Chinese began to become addicted to opium, leading the government to stop the trade, which caused the opium wars when the British were angry.

The Glorious Revolution, also called “The Revolution of 1688” and “The Bloodless Revolution,” took place from 1688 to 1689 in England. It involved the overthrow of the Catholic king James II, who was replaced by his Protestant daughter Mary and her Dutch husband, William of Orange. Motives for the revolution were complex and included both political and religious concerns. The event ultimately changed how England was governed, giving Parliament more power over the monarchy and planting seeds for the beginnings of a political democracy.

what is the soviets’ main government system and philosophy towards germany/eastern europe?

Answers

Answer:

The Soviet Union wanted Germany (East Germany specifically), and Eastern Europe, to become satellite states.

The Soviet Union wanted to impose communist puppet governments that were independent in name only, but that were actually bound in every possible way to the Soviet government.

The Soviets also wanted to impose their economic system: centralized planned economy and socialism in opposition to the more market-oriented economy that dominated in Western Europe.

The event that the author is describing was created by Stalin’s government. Can this type of event happen today? Why or why not?

Answers

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, the question is incomplete. It does not provide any information about the event it is referring to. Joseph Stain did many controversial things throughout his leadership as a ruler of the Soviet Union. So we do not what specific event it is referring to, or the name of the author.

However, we can comment on one of those controversial events. It was Berlin's Blockade of 1948 when Joseph Stalin ordered the blockade of Berlin. The Russian troops blockade all the roads to West Berlin, including the navigation. That is why the Allied Forces decide to send supplies to West Germany through the air, in what was known as the Berlin Airlift to send food, supplies, and medicines.

Of course, this type of event cannot happen today due to many international legislation and agreements.

Explanation:

The Treaty of Paris ended the Spanish-American War that saw the United States claim the Philippines, Guam and Puerto Rico as part of their territory. Also Cuba became independent of its colonizers(spain) which was mostly one of the reasons for the war as America fought to free them from the rule of Spain. Spain was also compensated $20 million dollars in losses suffered. However shortly after United States take over of the Philippines, there was a resistance from Filipinos stemming from the critic of United States' hypocritical stance in seizing a territory for itself while after critizing Spain and other European powers for colonization. The resulting war saw over 4000 American casualties.

3 achievements/agreements between USSR and USA during detente

any answer gets brainiest

Answers

Answer:

The end of the arms race. The expansion of trade between the two nations. The signing of the agreement that ended the cold war.

Explanation:

Detente is a term used to refer to the moments and agreements that allow a loosening in the political or economic tensions that is occurring between two countries or more. A more evident example of this term is the easing of the tension that the cold war created between the USA and the USSR.

As you may already know, the cold war period was marked by an ideological conflict between the USA and the USSR, where the two nations that were military powers (having the same nuclear power) faced each other indirectly, since a direct conflict between the two would be disastrous. In this conflict the detente can be seen when both countries agreed to end the arms race, establish trade agreements between the two and sign a deal that ended the cold war.

How do you feel about the Three-Fifths Compromise? Was it a wise decision by the framers of the constitution to keep the nation united, or was it an unacceptable compromise even at the cost of the nation breaking up over the issue of slavery (as happened later during the Civil War (1861–1865)? Write a two-to-three paragraph response supporting your stand.

Answers

Answer:

I think the three-fifths compromise was a poor attempt to delay the inevitable. I think that it would have been better to address slavery sooner. I think it should have been adressed when the constituion and bill of rights were written. I understand that it would have been a divisive issue but if you claim that "All men are created equal" and then turn around and dehuminaze other people than it makes you a hypocrite becuase you cannot just pick and choose who is and who is not considered human.

The three-fifths compromise did not do anything for the rights of the slaves in fact it dehumanized them even more and caused the civil war to start even sooner. If they had at least counted everyone as a human not only would it have possibly delayed the war but there may have been a way to keep the plantation owerners happy by saying they would have to pay anyone who worked for them and could not abuse them. If the slaves were treated as an entire person then they would have gained the population needed for more representation. It would have also helped them get the freedom they desereved and possibly avoid the civil war. It would have also helped the southern economy to have a higher and eventually more educated population. One cause of the civil war was the signfict difference in the economies in the north versus the south.

Europe gained raw materials for the development of mercantilism.

Africa gained man made products and such from Europe.

The americas gained free labor from the slaves.

Triangular trade or triangle trade is trade between three ports or regions between Africa, Europe, and the America.

What was Triangular trade?

The Americas, Europe, and Africa participated in the Triangular Trade. America sent raw commodities to Europe. From Europe, manufactured goods and other manufactured commodities were exported to Africa. Slaves were sold by Europeans in Africa and sent to the Americas.

America transported products and foods such as sugar, tobacco, and cotton to Europe. Europe would provide Africa with textiles and manufacturing items. Africa would also send slaves to America. Essentially, so that the slaves could labor in America. Which effectively makes the trading system triangular and everyone functioning together.

This had a significant impact on the system because they were all interdependent. This also meant that circulation would be disrupted if one of the triangle's segments failed.
