Which group has the smallest dispersal distances
a) Seaweeds
b) Fish
c) Crabs
d) Marine Snails

Answers

Answer:

d) Marine Snails

Explanation:

Marine Snails has the smallest dispersal distance because of their slow mobility and stick to one place. These marine snails have very limited mobility when they are adults and spend their majority of lifetimes in a small geographical area. Dispersal distance refers to the distance a species can move from an existing place or population or the parent organism. According to this definition we can say that marine snails have the smallest dispersal distances.

Hii!!

The purpose of mitosis is to create two new perfectly identical cells when either there is a need to replace old or damaged cells and to reproduce asexually by making new cells. Some organisms use mitosis to replace body parts. For example starfish replace lost arms by mitosis. Some organisms such as the hydra use mitosis to produce genetically identical offspring.

There are four stages of mitosis: prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.

1) Prophase: chromatin into chromosomes, the nuclear envelope break down, chromosomes attach to spindle fibres by their centromeres

2) Metaphase: chromosomes line up along the metaphase plate (centre of the cell)

3) Anaphase: sister chromatids are pulled to opposite poles of the cell

4) Telophase: nuclear envelope reforms, chromosomes unfold into chromatin, cytokinesis can begin

● The order of the stages of mitosis can be remembered using the mnemonic PMAT.

What structures do all organisms have in common in the earliest stages of embryonic development

Answers

The early stages of embryonic development begin with fertilization. The process of fertilization is tightly controlled to ensure that only one sperm fuses with one egg. After fertilization, the zygote undergoes cleavage to form the blastula.

The formation of a zygote after fertilization and undifferentiated cell are common features during the earliest stages of embryo development.

In vertebrates, fertilization is the process by which two geminal cells fuse to form a zygote, which will develop into an adult organism.

The cells are all in an undifferentiated state during the earliest stages of embryonic development.

After this process, the cells begin to differentiate to form a defined structure known as gastrula.

In conclusion, the formation of a zygote after fertilization and undifferentiated cell are common features during the earliest stages of embryo development.

Answer:

1. Yes and No. Speaking from the POV in which penguins are better of packed together than spread out since they are all focused on a specific region which is the southern hemisphere at the south pole I don't think spreading them out even when having the same exact species would help them survive since they need one another, but speaking in a different POV where multiple species are put in every cold region then yes it may work and it may also benefit in science fields to help ease the search of species and studies of them as well as the habitat of penguins themselves.

2. Penguins share many adaptations because of the idea of them only living in a cold, freezing region. Like, they spent half their time in water and the other half on land. Added to that, all penguins swim very fast due to webbed legs which helps them in surviving in a 100% water environment since Ice is technically frozen water. And they share many more adaptations all because of the cold region habitat they all share.

( I didn't really understand the 3rd one but Ill give it my own opinion )

3. Different geographical locations as I mentioned in the first question also speaks of how penguins wouldn't really survive much without being with their own species or their own type of penguins if that makes sense, although they are predators sometimes the environment might not give them the needed resources like food, warmth, strong legs to swim. Some baby penguins might grow up weak which would lead to weak physical structure which decreases the rate of survival because of not eating well nor keeping a healthy penguin routine that they usually do on the populated area of penguins in the southern hemisphere. So, weak physical structure leads to penguins not having their capabilities of being the predator in the environment and swimming as fast as others. Different environments and geographical locations may have an effect on this depending on penguin species but that's all I know.

Emest Rutherford's atomic model included a nucleus comprised of positive particles called protons. Later, James Chadwick discovered neutrons. How did
Chadwick's discovery change the atomic model?
A The new model showed a negatively charged nucleus.
B. The new model showed a neutrally charged nucleus
C. The new model showed a larger electron cloud.
D. The new model showed a nucleus with two types of particles

Answers

Answer:

D

Explanation:

It can't be A as nuclei must be positive.

It can't be B as nuclei must contain at least one proton, and no electrons.

Technically C may be true, but the question is asking about the nucleus. Not the electron cloud. Electrons aren't found in the nucleus. Only protons and neutrons.

Warm air temperature aids water evaporation, causing the crystals to grow more quickly. Crystals will still grow in cooler temperatures, but it will take much longer for the water to evaporate. Crystal growth also requires light.

Answer:

D and E

Explanation:

Because two parents are involved, the rate of reproduction is lower in sexual reproduction, but it is beneficial to have increased genetic diversity in the offspring since the level of adaptations in phenotypes will be higher.

Hope it helped

The statements which accurately support the argument that procreation  is advantageous over propagation in many species are given below:

Procreation involves two parents which contribute equally to the offspring's genetics.Procreation involves meiosis and fertilization which leads to increased genetic variation in the offspring.

What do you mean by Species?

Species may be defined as a group of organisms that can reproduce naturally with one another and create fertile offspring.

Due to the involvement of two parents, procreation increases the genetic diversity among organisms.

In procreation, clutch size is low but parental care is high. It means that this type of reproduction does not produce a large number of offspring.

Therefore, it is well described above.
