Find the median and mean of the data set below: 35,47,15,11,31,14,1

Answers

Answer:

The median for the data would be 15 and the mean of the data would be 22.

Explanation:

To find the median, you would get the average of the two middle values for this scenario because the set is even. If your data set is odd, the middle number would be your median

First, you would put the numbers in order from least to greatest.

1,11,14,15,31,35,47

Secondly, you would take the middle number (which is 15) to be your median. your median will be the halfway point of your data set.

To find the mean you would have to find the total of all the data points and divide by the amount of numbers you have.

First, add all the data points in the set

[tex]1++11+14+15+31+35+47=154[/tex]

Next divide by the amount of numbers (which is 7).

[tex]154/7= 22[/tex]

By matching these terms with the purposes, we have the following:

Monroe Doctrine: The purpose was to warn European nations to NOT get involved in Latin America.

Monroe Doctrine was made in 1823 under the administration of President James Monroe.

Economic Colonialism: The purpose was to supply industrial materials.

This is because economic colonialism involves the extraction of raw materials from underdeveloped countries to developed nations.

Settler Colonialism: The purpose was to provide a place to live.

This is because Settler colonialism involved immigrants or settlers trying to displace or dominate the original inhabitants of a certain place with more populations.

Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt: The purpose was to use a "Big stick" to gain access to the land for the Panama Canal.

This is because Theodore Roosevelt was the U.S President when the Panama Canal was eventually approved to be built by the U.S.A.

Answer:

Poverty.

Explanation:

Poverty is the leading cause of most of the problems we face in America... People resort to gang violence and drug selling/ or addictions to step out of the reality they are in for one and gangs claim to provide you with protection and money.. who struggling wouldnt take that opportunity if thats all they had.

People who tend to live in poverty are surrounded by uncleanliness- intentional or unintentional but having a clean environment is usually least of their concerns. People that are okay with living in that lifestyle and are content with how they are living and do nothing to change it they usually become addicts... Then they tend to use un clean needles while SHARING THEM amongst others... and cigarettes spreading different bacteria and germs. this is how AIDS, herpes, hepatitis, syphilis, and other things spread within a group of struggling people.

Ive seen it personally. Now if i had a magic wand i would introduce them into a rehab facility and set them up with a nice roof over their heads to come home too. I wouldnt necessarily give them money because that can be used for their supply and habits but i would use that wand to supply them with nourishment, a cook book to give them something to do with themselves, a tv and internet to keep them entertained, and a recreational group that includes activities for them to put themselves in so they have something to look forward too and involvement with other healthy people to surround themselves with.

Unfortunately i dont have a wand- nor am i rich enough to put all of this into place so i will continue to protest for the rights of the unforgotten. They have gone through hell and back for all i know and some of them have no assistance or are even acknowledged of their struggles. Id like people to reach out to me and to others so they can be heard and receive the help they deserve. :)

What is the role of government in our citizen's life?

Governments set the rules for citizens' conduct on a daily basis, shield them from outside meddling, and frequently look out for their happiness and well-being. Some economists and intellectuals have argued for government control of the economy in recent centuries.

"We the People" is the opening three words of the Constitution. In other words, there is no ruler over the people of America; they rule themselves. The federal government's current structure was established when the Founding Fathers drafted the Constitution in 1787.

The fact that the government in the United States is accountable for its citizens' health in part results from democracy itself. Either directly elected or appointed by democratically elected officials are health officials.

Thus, they are safe and citizen.

Explain what the great compromise was?

Help me please

Answers

Answer:

July 16, 1987, began with a light breeze, a cloudless sky, and a spirit of celebration. On that day, 200 senators and representatives boarded a special train for a journey to Philadelphia to celebrate a singular congressional anniversary.

Exactly 200 years earlier, the framers of the U.S. Constitution, meeting at Independence Hall, had reached a supremely important agreement. Their so-called Great Compromise (or Connecticut Compromise in honor of its architects, Connecticut delegates Roger Sherman and Oliver Ellsworth) provided a dual system of congressional representation. In the House of Representatives each state would be assigned a number of seats in proportion to its population. In the Senate, all states would have the same number of seats. Today, we take this arrangement for granted; in the wilting-hot summer of 1787, it was a new idea.

In the weeks before July 16, 1787, the framers had made several important decisions about the Senate’s structure. They turned aside a proposal to have the House of Representatives elect senators from lists submitted by the individual state legislatures and agreed that those legislatures should elect their own senators.

By July 16, the convention had already set the minimum age for senators at 30 and the term length at six years, as opposed to 25 for House members, with two-year terms. James Madison explained that these distinctions, based on “the nature of the senatorial trust, which requires greater extent of information and stability of character,” would allow the Senate “to proceed with more coolness, with more system, and with more wisdom than the popular[ly elected] branch.”

The issue of representation, however, threatened to destroy the seven-week-old convention. Delegates from the large states believed that because their states contributed proportionally more to the nation’s financial and defensive resources, they should enjoy proportionally greater representation in the Senate as well as in the House. Small-state delegates demanded, with comparable intensity, that all states be equally represented in both houses. When Sherman proposed the compromise, Benjamin Franklin agreed that each state should have an equal vote in the Senate in all matters—except those involving money.

Over the Fourth of July holiday, delegates worked out a compromise plan that sidetracked Franklin’s proposal. On July 16, the convention adopted the Great Compromise by a heart-stopping margin of one vote. As the 1987 celebrants duly noted, without that vote, there would likely have been no Constitution.
