How did liberal capitalism change after the 1970s? I’m hoping folks will write some smart things about geography (Southern China, in particular), public policy, and computers. In formulating your argument, be sure to reflect on how liberal capitalism operated before the 1970s.

Answer 1

In the late 1970s, a man named Deng Xiaoping guided China into the way of Capitalism. Beforehand, the people of China lived in a Communist nation, in the "trusted hands" of the Chinese Communist Party. Deng Xiaoping enlightened China to the ways of Capitalism through The Four Modernizations. The Four Modernizations were set forth by Deng Xiaoping in an attempt to strengthen China's main fields of both revenue and way of life. The Four Modernizations targeted China's field of agriculture, field of industry, field of defense, and field of science/technology.

The Four Modernizations created a want to throw out the old, and be in with the new. Old culture, ideas, customs, and habits were all thrown out the window! And as part of "out with the old ideas", the old idea for a communistic society also evaporates. Making way for capitalism to swish into China.

Hope this helps you!

From the image or diagram given, note that the measure of angle 1 is also 100°.

How is this so?

The theorem that supports   the relationship between the measure of an arc and the measure of the central angle is known as the Central Angle Theorem.

According to this theorem, the measure of a central   angle in a circle is equal to the measure of the arc it intercepts.

This theorem is based on the fact that in a circle, the ratio of the arc length to the   circumference is equal to the ratio of the central angle to the full angle (360 degrees).

Therefore,if the arc measures 100 degrees, the central angle formed by that arc will also measure   100 degrees.

Our current understanding of the terrestrial worlds allows us to paint a broad-brush overview of their geological histories, but we still have much more to learn. Choose one important but unanswered question related to the geology of the terrestrial worlds, and describe why the question is important and how we might answer it in the future. Be as specific as possible, focusing on the type of evidence necessary to answer the question and how the evidence could be gathered.

Answers

One important unanswered question related to the geology of the terrestrial worlds is: What is the extent and composition of subsurface water on other planets and moons?

The presence of water is a crucial factor in determining a celestial body's potential habitability and understanding its geological history. While we have evidence of surface water on some terrestrial worlds, such as Mars and Earth's Moon, the extent and composition of subsurface water remain largely unknown. Answering this question is essential for gaining a comprehensive understanding of the potential for life beyond Earth and for uncovering the geological processes that shape these worlds.

Exploring the extent and composition of subsurface water would require a combination of remote sensing techniques, in situ measurements, and sample return missions. Remote sensing instruments like ground-penetrating radar and spectrometers can provide valuable information about subsurface water through the analysis of electromagnetic signals and absorption features. These instruments would enable scientists to map the distribution and properties of subsurface water on various terrestrial worlds.

In situ measurements, such as drilling or excavating, would be necessary to directly access subsurface water and obtain physical samples. These samples could provide insights into the composition, isotopic ratios, and potential biological activity within subsurface water reservoirs. Sample return missions, like the OSIRIS-REx mission that returned samples from asteroid Bennu, would allow for detailed laboratory analysis of subsurface water samples on Earth.

Answering the question about subsurface water would contribute to our understanding of the potential habitability of other worlds and shed light on the geological processes that shape their surfaces. It would also provide crucial information for future manned or robotic missions, aiding in the planning of resource utilization and colonization efforts.

As an Event Manager at Judo Canada, you are responsible for planning and delivering National Championships annually. One of the big problems in your files right now is about the national championships which will be held in Ottawa in August 2022-2023 as well as in August 2023-2024. The National Championship is your organization's biggest event and is held annually across Canada with approximately 500 participants attending. Your CEO is worried about the event, as at least 5,000 volunteers will need to be recruited to deliver the event and ensure a success. This is because your event combines the various categories of age (cadet, junior and senior) and gender (men and women), which was not done in the past. Given that the organization must plan and deliver a national-level event in a city where there is no office or satellite location of the organization present as well as the size of the event, there are several hurdles to overcome in order to recruit the volunteers that will be needed. Despite the obstacles, the fact that the event will be held in the same city two years in a row presents an opportunity for the organization to try to retain volunteers from 2022-23 for the event in 2023-2024. This would help a lot to minimize the effort and resources dedicated to recruiting for the 2023-2024 edition of the event, which is an important point for your general manager. So, in order to complete this file as Director of Events and resolve your boss' issues/concerns, you must follow these steps in order to fulfill your responsibilities:1. Explain your process for recruiting and selecting volunteers for the event in 2022-2023. Base your explanation on three strategies that would be used to recruit volunteers. For example, what types of individuals will be sought? What types of posters or announcements should be made and in what location or region? Etc. It is important to provide concrete examples as well as make connections to course content to support your volunteer recruitment strategies.2. After volunteer recruitment and selection, what strategies will be important to promote a positive volunteer experience during the 2022-2023 event? Base your explanation on three strategies as well as concrete examples and links to course content to support your strategies.3. Explain how you will try to retain volunteers from 2022-2023 in order to retain them for the 2023-2024 event.
