If 100g portion contains 14.4g protein, calculate how much protein will be found in a 150g portion of tiger brand jungle oats. Show all working
Answer:
"21.6 g" is the appropriate solution.
Explanation:
The given values are:
Mass of portion,
= 100g
Gram of protein,
= 14.4g
Now,
The protein throughout per gm will be:
= [tex]\frac{Gram \ of \ protein}{Mass \ of \ portion}[/tex]
On substituting the values, we get
= [tex]\frac{14.4}{100}[/tex]
= [tex]0.144[/tex]
hence,
The protein found in 150g portion will be:

8.A simile is a figure of speech that directly compares two things. Similes differ from metaphors by highlighting the similarities between two things using words such as "like" or "as", while metaphors create an implicit comparison. Since like was used to compare the rain to the sun, then it is a simile.
9.Onomatopoeia is the process of creating a word that phonetically imitates, resembles, or suggests the sound that it describes. Such a word itself is also called an onomatopoeia. Common onomatopoeias include animal noises such as "oink", "meow", "roar" and "chirp".Since buzzed is an animal sound, then it is an onomatopoeia.
10.The attribution of a personal nature or human characteristics to something non-human, or the representation of an abstract quality in human form is a personification.Sunflowers arent humans but they were given the human attribute of nodding to indicate that they were swaying back and forth.
11.An alliteeration is the occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words. The of the letter 'c' can be clearly seen, hence it is an aliteration.
What do you think self-reliance means? Who in the world today seems to have this quality? What are some advantages and disadvantages of being self-reliant? How self-reliant are you?
I really need helppp with this^
To be self reliant, means you are more comfortable doing things on your own. Whether it be doing your own laundry, even though your mother offers. Or doing chores on your own without anyone asking you, but you feel uncomfortable when people tell you things you already know and are about to do.
This is coming from experience. I rather do things on my own instead burdening other people with my strife. It's a good thing to do things on your own, but when others off their hand and do things for you; you start to feel uncomfortable with yourself and start to put yourself down and feel like a huge burden to others.
Not only that, sometimes I tend to bite off more than I can chew, and I end up in failure and disappointment.

What does the word base appear to mean in this passage? What is the dictionary definition? Do you think Frankenstein has a good argument for not making another monster? Why or why not?
Chapter 16, pg. 195: "'You may render me the most miserable of men, but you shall never make me base in my own eyes. Shall I create another like yourself, whose joint wickedness might desolate the world? Begone!'"
Answer:
The word base here seems to mean that Victor Frankenstein refused to despise himself, think of himself as lowly, as the monster may have seen or thought him to be.
The dictionary defines "base" as something that is low, or the source of something, the beginning point (as a noun) and as a verb, it means a 'foundation' of some sort.
Victor's refusal to make another monster is a good argument because, as far as he knows and is concerned, the monster had only brought pain and suffering to humans. And so, if there is another like him, then there is no saying what will happen in the future. One monster is better than two.
Explanation:
Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" is a gothic novel revolving around a young scientist's desire for greater knowledge. This led him to create a living creature from dead human parts, akin to the role of a god in giving life to another.
In the given passage from Chapter 16, the monster had requested his creator Victor Frankenstein to create a companion, a female for him. But Victor refused, declaring that it will only "desolate the whole world."
The use of the word "base" in the passage is suggestive of Victor's refusal to be deemed lowly, weak, to despise himself, etc.
The dictionary definition of the word "base" is as a noun, to be the lowest part, the support or source of a thing. And as a verb, it means the foundation, the location, etc.
Frankenstein has a good argument for refusing to create a companion for the monster because then, they will only create more havoc and death to humanity, as that was all the monster had done till now. Victor sees the monster as nothing but an "abhorrence", a mistake (if applicable) and would only lead to the end of the human race in the world.
Read the excerpt from "Harrison Bergeron."
“I am the Emperor!” cried Harrison. “Do you hear? I am the Emperor! Everybody must do what I say at once!” He stamped his foot and the studio shook.
“Even as I stand here—” he bellowed, “crippled, hobbled, sickened—I am a greater ruler than any man who ever lived! Now watch me become what I can become!”
What do Harrison’s words and actions reveal about his character?
He wants to become like the Handicapper General and have absolute power.
He wants to rebel against the law and show off his superior gifts.
He wants to force everyone to appreciate music and dancing.
He wants to make the people watching television fear for their lives.
Answer:
He wants to become like the Handicapper General and have absolute power.
Explanation:
According to the excerpt from "Harrison Bergeron.", it is narrated that Harrison, is bellowing that he is the emperor and everyone must do what he says, even though he is crippled and in a sickly state, he is still the greatest ruler any man has ever seen.
Harrison’s words and actions reveal about his character that he wants to become like the Handicapper General and have absolute power.
Answer:
B.He wants to rebel against the law and show off his superior gifts.
Explanation:
How does Black Hawk's rhetoric in this excerpt advance his viewpoint that in order to save their own culture, Indians must defeat the white men? We told them to let us alone; but they followed on and beset our paths, and they coiled themselves among us like the snake. They poisoned us by their touch. We were not safe. We lived in danger. We were becoming like them, hypocrites and liars, adulterers. lazy drones, all talkers, and no workers.
A: He uses direct address to emphasize his point that white people are evil by nature
B: He uses imagery to reveal the thoughts and feelings of the Native Americans
C: He uses a source to demonstrate how Native Americans are different than white people
D:He uses figurative language to convey the idea that white people morally corrupt Native Americans
Answer:
D: He uses figurative language to convey the idea that white people morally corrupt Native Americans.
Explanation:
In the 1832 surrender speech by Black Hawk, the Indian leader expressed his hatred for the white people who came only to destroy his land and his people. The main idea of his speech was to emphasize the need for the Native Indians to fight against the whites and preserve their lands and traditions.
In the given lines from the speech, Black Hawk uses figurative language to describe the whites. He uses a simile, comparing the whites to "snakes . . . coiled themselves among us like snakes. They poisoned us by their touch." And they have made them "hypocrites and liars, adulterers, lazy drones, all talkers, and no workers." Through this imagery, Black Hawk conveys the idea that white people are morally corrupt and must not be trusted.
Thus, the correct answer is option D.
