Answer: Yes. Most of us ken the stories of Gilgamesh, Beowulf, and the Odyssey. But that's not quite accurate—there are stories from China and Japan and Australia that are far older. These stories, however, are infrequently edified to children. Many of us grew up with some familiarity of Greek Myths and Norse Mythology.

feather flock together
Explanation:
One of the most overused proverbs I’ve heard throughout my life is “Birds of a feather, flock together.”
So much that I’ve developed a strong resentment towards this proverb in my younger years because it has been utilised by many especially educators in making passing remarks associating and classifying groups of people which I find it discriminating. This is because I believe that there is always something that we can learn from one another.
Now that I am older, if you ask me about what do I think of the proverb now?
My response will be; neither do I disagree on this notion nor I totally agree with it.
The Meaning Of Birds Of Feather, Flock Together.
Birds of a feather flock together means people of similar interests, background, ideas or characteristics will often congregate or hang out with each other, people who have similar ideas or values tend to stick together.
I don’t totally agree with this proverb because there are people who enjoy exploring and meeting new people. Like myself, I spent my youths mixing with all types of people. I befriended anyone. The misnomer, the outcast, the physically challenged, the sportsman, the all-rounder, the geeks, the attention seeker, the “gangsters wanna-be”, the foreign students, the janitors... easier said, anyone.
Perhaps, I was taught at a very young age to not discriminate people by my mother that I acquired this character. She taught me a very valuable lesson.
One day, she was cutting the onions when she accidently cut her finger. (I usually stand on a chair beside her to watch her cook.) It was not a very deep cut but there was blood flowing from the wound. Instead of washing it, she asked me to look at it. I was puzzled and anxious.
"Why don’t you quickly wash your wound?” I asked.
“Son, I want you to remember this. Each time you see another person who looks different or speak differently from you, do not make fun of them. Just because he looks differently or speaks differently doesn’t make them different from us. Cause deep inside, we are all the same.
His blood, your blood, my blood is of all the same colour; which is red.”
While others only congregate within their group, I continued making friends with everyone. I realised all of them have their own strengths despite the different backgrounds or physiques. And all of them faces different challenges which made me conclude that we are all not different after all.
Today, still being the person who I am, I connect with people easily. My advice is ; Be sincere and honest. Cause when you are sincere, any negative auras or hidden intentions of the person you are interacting with, can be felt. This will help you to make decision better.
You Are The Average Of Five Person.
Surround yourself with people who will have and create positive impact on you.
For myself, (and my group of close friends) our intellect needs to be stimulated.
If we are surrounding ourselves with people who never ask us tough, thought-provoking questions, we will never be living up to our full potential to conceptualize those answers.
That's not to say every conversation must be about Hard Topics such as politics, philosophy or quantum physic, but if we only hang out with our current friends to discuss on How I Met Your Mother, it might be time to consider whether you're getting enough intellectual stimulation out of those interactions.
Honestly, seek out to those who provoke slightly uncomfortable thoughts and challenge your intellectual; don't take verbal sparring to heart and don’t take mutual intellectual admiration for granted. Our friends really are our future. And the implication is that we don’t just need to be more deliberate about who we are spending the most time with.
In my opinion, most importantly, we need to be examining our entire network and its influence on our life. We need to know where we sit inside the larger network of our social community.
To a certain extent, we are NOT totally the average of the FIVE people you surround with. To be specific, it’s way bigger than that.
And just to be exact, We are the average of all the people who surround us. So, take a look around and make sure you’re in the right surroundings

The use of strong descriptors makes everyday citizens sound like accomplished heroes.
Explanation:
Roosevelt wants the regular citizen to feel seen and valued. When there is a war, it is not only the soldiers who have to make sacrifices - although they are indeed making the greatest sacrifice of all, which is risking their own lives. People of a country at war must face the challenge of going through rationing. They must give up their own comfort so that the country will have the necessary resources to keep on battling. Therefore, just like soldiers, they are heroes. That is what Roosevelt wants to convey when he compliments his audience by using strong words - "loyal", "untiring", and "magnificently".

Why did President Bush support secret wiretapping?
Answer:
President Bush secretly authorized the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on Americans and others inside the United States to search for evidence of terrorist activity without the court-approved warrants ordinarily required for domestic spying, according to government officials.
Explanation:
Under a presidential order signed in 2002, the intelligence agency has monitored the international telephone calls and international e-mail messages of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people inside the United States without warrants over the past three years in an effort to track possible "dirty numbers" linked to Al Qaeda, the officials said.

In chapter 7, why does Huck want people to think he is dead?
Answer:
Why does Huck stage his own murder rather than simply running away? ... Huck stages his own murder instead of running away so people won't go looking for him. If he simply ran away, his father would be upset and search for him, where if he were dead, he could escape safely with no one looking for him.Explanation:
Unaware of his earlier drunken rage, Pap wakes up and sends Huck out to check to see if any fish have been caught on the lines out in the river. Huck finds a canoe drifting in the river and hides it in the woods. When Pap leaves for the day, Huck finishes sawing his way out of the cabin. He puts food, cookware, and everything else of value from the cabin into the canoe. He then covers up the hole he cut in the wall and shoots a wild pig outside. Huck smashes the cabin door with an ax, cuts the pig’s throat so it bleeds onto the cabin’s dirt floor, and makes other preparations to make it seem as if robbers have broken into the cabin and killed him. Huck goes to the canoe and waits for the moon to rise, planning to paddle to Jackson’s Island out in the river. Huck falls asleep and wakes to see Pap rowing by. Once Pap has passed, Huck quietly sets out downriver. He pulls into Jackson’s Island, careful not to be seen.Hulk wants people to think he is dead because he doesn't want his father nor the Widow Douglas to go searching for him .

Teacher
As a student who has spent almost a decade in this school, I am indebted to the college for what I've become and owns a big share of responsibility especially in moments like this when the administration and whole functioning of the school are quickly degrading.
Firstly addressing the issue of transportation, our school is at least 4Km away from the students' residences. In this era we can expect no parents making their children walk such distance on foot. And there are no proper means that could be availed for their daily schooling. To this I suggest the administration under your leadership, work towards extending the hostels and building new hostels, making it a totally residential one. If not purchase a bus for the school. The bust can be plied with monthly fees and the investment of 15 lakhs can hopefully be recovered in 10 years making it a win-win investment for both the school and the students. In this way the number of students decreased in the last few years can be retained. (And go on addressing the other issues respectfully, with genuine concern. What is needed in this type of letter is not criticism. Anybody can criticize but takes lots of Education and years of experience to give a useful tip. Don't address the problems as a stranger, who are you to interfere? Such a question can divert real intention. Be someone willing to share the failure and even more responsible in claiming a share towards a solution. Writing with such a clear perspective will avoid any kind of misunderstanding and this can be settled for good).
Looking forward to working together in any capacities for the welfare of the school. Thank you for considering my opinions, in anticipation.
Sincerely Yours,
