Essay on how Globalism and Nationalism coexist? Why or why not?

No links pls thanks

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

What do you know about Lyndon B. Johnson?

Johnson, who was raised in a farmhouse near Stonewall, Texas, to a local political family, worked as a high school teacher and a congressional aide before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1937. Following a close and contentious victory in the Democratic Party primary, he was elected to the Senate for Texas in 1948.

In 1951, he received his appointment as the majority whip of the Senate. In 1953, he was named Senate Democratic leader; in 1954, he was elected majority leader.

For the Democratic presidential nomination in 1960, Johnson ran. In the end, Senator Kennedy defeated Johnson and his rivals for the nomination, and many people were taken aback when he unexpectedly proposed to pick Johnson as his running partner for vice president. 1960 saw the victory of the Kennedy-Johnson ticket. Explanation:

Answer:

To relate because they also fought in the war.

Explanation:

Lincoln had referred to “the Union” twenty times. Always using “the Union” as a synonym for the country, Lincoln had not once referred to “the nation.” But by the end of 1863, Lincoln’s rhetoric changed significantly. He now referred to the founders of 1776 as having “brought forth on this continent a new nation.”  Only a united nation with a strong central government, he believed, could end slavery and protect liberty.

why the term “renaissance” is an appropriate term to describe what took place in Harlem in the 1920s.

Answers

Answer:

The term "renaissance" is used for something that is unusual or out of favor, however, appropriately for this statement, the word renaissance is used to define specifically to art, literature, and culture.

In the 1920s, it can also be defined as the Roaring 20s as more African Americans moved to the North from the South and that Harlem is one of the popular destinations for families.  This would redefine as the term used for the cultural revival of African American entertainment through music, dance, literature, and much more.

Read the excerpt from a 40th anniversary presentation about the Cuban Missile Crisis.

"In his biography of JFK, Ted Sorensen wrote . . . : ‘Above all, Kennedy believed in retaining a choice, not a choice between red or dead or Holocaust or humiliation, but a variety of military options in the event of aggression and an opportunity for time and maneuver in the instruments of diplomacy, and a balanced approach to every crisis which combined both defense and diplomacy.’”

Based on this excerpt, what is the best reason that Kennedy chose to blockade Cuba rather than take stronger military action?

He was afraid of the USSR’s power and its possible effects on the US.
He wanted to convince Cubans to support a democratic government again.
He wanted to keep many choices available rather than resorting to military force first.

Explanation:

Which action would most likely be protected under the First Amendment?

Answers

Answer:

D.

Explanation:

The problem is, this seems to be a trick question, because both C. & D. can be correct. D. is the most probable, so I would choose that.

The First Amendment basically protects all speech unless you are inciting violence with intent to act on it.  When it comes to freedom of expression, in this case, protesting, the First Amendment protects your right to peaceably assemble. So if the protest is peaceful, then it is protected by the First Amendment. It is only when that protest becomes violent (or turns into a riot) when the First Amendment protection is suspended.

The reason why this is a trick question is because the First Amendment protects the right to peaceable assemble, but it does not specify if you can on public or private land. The general rule of thumb however is that these rights are to protect against government overreach. Protesting on land owned by a corporation is doing so on private property, and the owner of that land can request for the protesters to leave, and they must oblige or face a trespassing charge. Protesting on public land is allowed with a permit. So giving a public speech about government corruption would be the most correct choice here.

The exact wording of the First Amendment is attached below for reference:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Political speech is known to be the most highly protected type of speech under the First Amendment. The correct answer is option D.

The Supreme Court  stated that political and ideological speech to be at the main stay of the First Amendment. They includes; speech concerning politics, nationalism, religion etc.

Political speech is known to be the most protected form of speech under the First Amendment as it also gives the highest level of scrutiny against the laws that regulate it.

The First Amendment do protects one's speech from government censorship. It is said to be applicable to federal, state, and local government actors.
