How many times did the farmer change his plans to please people?

(ps i really need answers and if you say i don't know then your thing will get ban and three bans mean you acc will get ban please help)

Answers

Answer: The challenges that many American farmers faced in the last quarter of the nineteenth century were significant. They contended with economic hardships born out of rapidly declining farm prices, prohibitively high tariffs on items they needed to purchase, and foreign competition. One of the largest challenges they faced was overproduction, where the glut of their products in the marketplace drove the price lower and lower.

Overproduction of crops occurred in part due to the westward expansion of homestead farms and in part because industrialization led to new farm tools that dramatically increased crop yields. As farmers fell deeper into debt, whether it be to the local stores where they bought supplies or to the railroads that shipped their produce, their response was to increase crop production each year in the hope of earning more money with which to pay back their debt. The more they produced, the lower prices dropped. To a hard-working farmer, the notion that their own overproduction was the greatest contributing factor to their debt was a completely foreign concept. In addition to the cycle of overproduction, tariffs were a serious problem for farmers. Rising tariffs on industrial products made purchased items more expensive, yet tariffs were not being used to keep farm prices artificially high as well. Therefore, farmers were paying inflated prices but not receiving them. Finally, the issue of gold versus silver as the basis of U.S. currency was a very real problem to many farmers. Farmers needed more money in circulation, whether it was paper or silver, in order to create inflationary pressure. Inflationary pressure would allow farm prices to increase, thus allowing them to earn more money that they could then spend on the higher-priced goods in stores. However, in 1878, federal law set the amount of paper money in circulation, and, as mentioned above, Harrison’s Sherman Silver Act, intended to increase the amount of silver coinage, was too modest to do any real good, especially in light of the unintended consequence of depleting the nation’s gold reserve. In short, farmers had a big stack of bills and wanted a big stack of money—be it paper or silver—to pay them. Neither was forthcoming from a government that cared more about issues of patronage and how to stay in the White House for more than four years at a time.

Which voice allows writers to use varied sentence structures and engages
the reader?
Active
O
Passive

Answers

Passive is the one that gives the sentence structure. Ex. Jonah painted the beautiful picture.-passive

Answer:

The answer is active voice.

Explanation:

Using active voice often improves clarity, while passive voice can help avoid unnecessary repetition. Active voice can help ensure clarity by making it clear to the reader who is taking action in the sentence. In addition, the active voice stresses that the actor (or grammatical subject) precedes the verb, again, putting emphasis on the subject. Also, an active voice helps the reader get into the story by directly engaging with the reader.

Exercise 1: Identifying Verbals- In the following sentences, first identify the verbal, then what kind of verbal (gerund, present participle, past participle or infinitive) is present in the sentence. Then write its function in the sentence (noun, adjective, or adverb).

1. Samantha left the movie early to eat dinner with her family.
Verbal:
Type of Verbal:
Function of Verbal:

Answers

Answer:

Verbal: to eat

Type of Verbal: Infinitive

Function of Verbal: Adverb

Explanation:

Verbals are described as the non-finite verb forms that do not function as a verb in the sentence. They primarily function as nouns, adverbs, or adjectives in the sentence and remain unaffected by the change in the tense of the sentence.

In the given sentence, 'to eat' is the verbal infinitive as it consists of 'to + base form of the verb(eat).' It is functioning as an adverb in the sentence as it modifies the clause 'left the movie early' by providing details about it. It is the non-finite verb form that is neutral in respect to any inflection in the tense of the sentence.

DBQ evaluate the extent to which people in Asia and Africa sought to preserve their cultures as Christianity spread during the period circa 1800-1950 Smoke detectors fall into two major classes. Ionization detectors, the most common units, contain two parallel electrodes that are typically separated by 3 cm with a 5-V potential difference across them. The air molecules between the electrodes are ionized by collisions with helium nuclei that are produced by a radioactive source. Most units are initially fueled with 60 million nuclei of radioactive americium 241 (half-life 430 years). The now-ionized air molecules drift toward one of the electrodes with an average speed of 0.1 m/s and thus support a small current between the two electrodes. Smoke particles that enter and combine with the ions reduce the current and initiate an alarm.Photoelectric detectors, by contrast, contain a light-emitting diode that sends a beam of unpolarized light across a small chamber. The light beam usually has a wavelength of 6.0 107m and has an intensity of 1.0 103 W. When smoke particles enter the chamber, the light scatters in all directions. A photocell then senses either the increase in the scattered light or the reduced intensity of the light beam and sets off the alarm. The speed of light in air is 3.0 108 m/s.Ionization detectors respond faster to the large smoke particles of flaming fires; photoelectric detectors sense the small particles of smoldering fires more quickly.
