Answer 1
Here’s a start: many criminals convicted of drug crimes are committing these crimes as a means to supply their addiction. Addiction is classified by the AMA as a disease. We don’t punish people who are sick with cancer, (also a disease), so why do we treat people with the disease of addiction as if they are choosing to be sick?

Cerebral palsy is a condition that affects body movement and coordination. It's caused by brain injury or brain malformation that occurs before, during, or immediately after birth when an infant's brain is still developing. Which area or part of the brain is likely affected in a person with cerebral palsy who has movement problems in their right arm and hand?

Answers

Answer:

The left motor cortex

Explanation:

The cerebral cortex, also known as the neocortex, is the outer layer of neural tissue of the brain. The cerebral cortex is involved in diverse functions including perception, memory, thought, and voluntary physical activity. On the other hand, cerebral palsy (CP) refers to a group of disorders that alter the ability to move and maintain balance and posture. CP is caused by damage or abnormal development of the cerebral cortex (i.e., the part of the brain that directs muscle movement). CP can be divided depending on the type of disorder in motor skills into 1-spasticity (muscle tightness that makes movement), 2-dyskinesia (muscle imbalance), and 3-ataxia (muscle incoordination problems). People suffering from dyskinetic CP have problems controlling the movements of their hands and arms. The left motor cortex is known to control the movements of the right side of the body, while the right side of the motor cortex controls the movements of the left side of the body. In consequence, it is expected that a person with CP who has movement problems to control their right arm and hand is affected in the left motor cortex.

#3. What 2 colors of sputum signal serious problems?

Answers

Answer:

#1.Sputum is produced when a person's lungs are diseased or damaged. Sputum is not saliva but the thick mucus – sometimes called phlegm – which is coughed up from the lungs.#2.Sputum analysis is important, because it enables diagnosis of conditions such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, lung abscess and lung cancer. The nurse should record the colour, amount and consistency of the sputum collected.

#3.As a general rule, sputum is dark green in the early stages of an infection and gradually lightens as the infection improves. It is the presence of an enzyme called myeloperoxidase that gives the sputum its green color, during an infection. Some infections may cause sputum to be yellow, gray, or rusty colored.

Explain how the context clues helped you understand each words meaning Article belowFormer Associated Press news agency reporter Bryan Mealer had been reporting on conflict across Africa for five years when he heard Mr Kamkwamba's story. The incredible tale was the kind of positive story Mealer, from New York, had long hoped to cover. Sometimes from the humblest beginnings, great things are achieved. This is not just a story of paraffin lanterns being put out and replaced with light bulbs; this is the story of a village saved by one of their own.The industry of Mr Kamkwamba includes using nails and magnets off an old stereo speaker to create a circuit breaker, and a light switch cobbled together from bicycle spokes and flip-flop rubber. The author spent a year with Mr Kamkwamba writing The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind which has just been published in the US.Mealer says Mr Kamkwamba represents Africa's new "cheetah generation", young people, energetic and technology-hungry, who are taking control of their own destiny."Spending a year with William writing this book reminded me why I fell in love with Africa in the first place," says Mr Mealer, 34."It's the kind of tale that resonates with every human being and reminds us of our own potential."Can it be long before the film rights to the triumph-over-adversity story are snapped up, and William Kamkwamba, the boy who dared to dream, finds himself on the big screen? The first step of any creative process is figuring out your goal. So, think about what kind of character you want to create. What sort of adventures will your character have? Does it move in a world that looks like our own or in a science fiction world? Will it have super powers or move through a realistic world? The great thing about creating your character is that it can be whatever you want it to be, but you need to make those decisions and keep them consistent (the same).Once you have decided what kind of character you are creating, the next step is to actually create it. Provide a view from the front, the side, and the back. If you are using animation software and can do some basic animation, you can do that. If you are drawing it by hand, draw at least four drawings of the character in motion, like a butterfly flapping its wings or a person running. Think about what else will change on the figure to make the action happen. For instance, as the butterfly flaps its wings, its feet and head will also likely shift positions. Be mindful of copyright lawsmake sure that your character is completely original.Create another drawing or scene on a computer that is the background. Include any figures that need to be part of the scene, like buildings, trees, castle walls, or whatever you need to show your character in its environment. When you are done, you should have at least seven drawings, or animation that shows the figure from all sides and in motion in addition to the background. Write a brief paragraph describing the character and the setting that you created for it. Whether you were going to turn this into a full-length feature or a short, give some idea of what kind of adventures the character would have.
