hi can anyone tell/list the common characteristics of philippine folktales and japanese folktales ?
COMMON CHARACTERISTICS OF PHILIPPINES FOLKTALES:
Philippine folk literature refers to the traditional oral literature of the Filipino people. Thus, the scope of the field covers the ancient folk literature of the Philippines' various ethnic groups, as well as various pieces of folklore that have evolved since the Philippines became a single ethno-political unit. They have been passed on generation to generation by word of mouth rather than by writing, and thus the stories have been modified by successive retellings before they were written down and recorded. The literature has three major categories, namely prose, poetry and plays.
COMMON CHARACTERISTICS OF JAPANESE FOLKTALES:
Japanese folktales are an important cultural aspect of Japan. In commonplace usage, they signify a certain set of well-known classic tales, with a vague distinction of whether they fit the rigorous definition of "folktale" or not among various types of folklore. The admixed impostors are literate written pieces, dating back to the Muromachi period (14th-16th centuries) or even earlier times in the Middle Ages. These would not normally qualify for the English description "folktales" (i.e., pieces collected from oral tradition among the populace). In a more stringent sense, "Japanese folktales" refers to orally transmitted folk narrative. Systematic collection of specimens was pioneered by the folklorist Kunio Yanagita. Yanagita disliked the word minwa (民話), a coined term directly translated from "folktale" (Yanagita stated that the term was not familiar to actual old folk he collected folktales from, and was not willing to "go along" with the conventions of other countries.[1]) He therefore proposed the use of the term mukashibanashi (ja:昔話, "tales of long ago") to apply to all creative types of folktales (i.e., those that are not "legendary" types which are more of a reportage)

The Chairman,
Osisioma Ngwa Local Government,
Aba.
Sir,
THE DEPLORABLE STATE OF UMUNGASI COMMUNITY
It is with deep sadness and a great sense of urgency that I write this letter to you, Mr. Chairman. Osisioman Ngwa Local Government Area is one of the most blessed and prosperous local governments in Abia State in terms of human and material resources. Irrespective of this, many communities in this local government lag behind communities in other local governments of Abia State in the area of social amenities.
There is hardly a good access road leading to Umungasi community. In order to access Unungasi community, one has to pass through certain areas of other neighboring states which ought not to be so.
Lack of clean water supply in Umungasi community has contributed to the prevalence of many waterborne diseases which has now overstretched the capacity of the little primary health care center in Umungasi community.
Worst of all, most primary and secondary schools in Umungasi community are comatose. This is due to the fact that the buildings of most of these schools have collapsed forcing the school management to temporarily shut down the affected schools.
I beg you Mr. Chairman to promptly consider the plight of Umungasi community and speedily come to our aid. Posterity will never forget you if you do so.
Thanks in anticipation of your positive response.
Yours Faithfully,
Jude Njoku

What kinds of stories do you find it easiest to believe? What kinds of stories do
you find it hardest to accept as true? What are the main differences between the
stories you believe without question and those you doubt?
Answer and Explanation:
The stories that are easiest to believe are the ones that seem more rational and normal to happen, in addition to showing evidence that they are true and to be told by a reliable person. On the other hand, the stories most difficult to believe are those that seem very unrealistic and irrational, with little evidence and are told by someone who is not trustworthy.
The main difference between the stories I can trust without question and those that make me suspicious is the amount of evidence presented, as the evidence is essential to promote the story's veracity.

help me with a essay explaining the importance of not judging people by their appearance
Answer:
we should not judge people on there personality on there face and many more if we are at there place we will understand
Everyone has heard the saying,“Never judge a book by its cover.” Well, that certainly is true when applied to everyday life. Most of us tend to look at one’s external appearance and draw a short conclusion on their character when we first observe them.
Being in school, this always happens. No matter if a person has the sweetest personality, if his or her appearance is not good, people judge them on only that fact. There have been many circumstances I have run into when someone is judging another person. In third grade there was this girl named Candi. She was the sweetest girl in my class, but because she had red hair she got made fun of by other students. We all sat in alphabetical order so the teacher could learn our names. It happened to be I was the girl sitting next to her. I always felt bad for her and tried being her friend, but she always thought I was just being sarcastic and did not really want to be her friend. I tried many times walking up to her and start a conversation, but she never wanted to talk back. I also tried playing with her at recess, but she just stood there not saying anything. As years went on, the same thing always happened. New people would be in her class, and she still always got made fun of. Finally, she was sick of it and ran out of the class crying and never came back. The next few weeks went on and still she did not appear in class. Our teacher told us she was going to be home taught. Everyone realized that because of their attitude towards her she was never going to go to school and have the experience that they had. This made everyone think twice about saying something to someone before knowing their personality.
People are judged on many factors, their outer appearance, their color, their religion, and their viewpoints. When we look at these factors and judge a person solely on them we can affect future generations. These prejudices can be passed on to our children with many harmful effects. Children often adapt the beliefs of those around them. So it is important to us, as adults, to be careful about what we say or do in front of children. Being judgmental has many negative effects. If we judge the beliefs of family, friends, and neighbors without really getting to know them, we are being unfair. We must develop our own set of standards, to reject negative and unfair influences around us, and to avoid making assumptions.
Beautiful people have their own share of problems. They are not prefect. Average people often shy away from skinny, beautiful people because they think they could never be friends with them. Women especially have to live up to certain standards of beauty in order to fit in with the rest of the society. When I pick up a magazine, every woman I see has a model look body. They usually have on the best looking cloths and the best looking guy along with her. When reading the magazines and watching movies, this could create poor self esteem. Everyone needs to realize anyone can accomplish great things. No one has to have a good appearance to accomplish things in life. The only thing to learn from this is to recognize what is inside when judging others unfairly. People should try to be nice to everyone and watch their reactions to others.I believe the real issue is people need to learn more about caring for themselves. People cannot let any one put limitations on them or let anyone define them like Candi did. They need to define themselves. If someone thinks something about someone else that is not true, do not believe them. Do not allow them to make a person upset about something false. Also give that “out of the ordinary” person a chance. Beauty goes deeper than just what is on the outer surface. If people do not try to give their peers a chance they are limiting themselves and lessening their chance to making new friends, which could make their life more fun and interesting. Just think how it would be not having any friends. Only external appearance can not make a person. A person with a bad appearance can be a great person. All people are born equal regardless of our outer appearance. Which means all people should create a positive judgment when judging the external and internal features of a person accurately.

Ndi Ichie Palace,
90 Ogbor lane,
Aba.
February 23, 2021.
Dear Chintua,
I am so happy to inform you that I was installed as a chief and paramount ruler in my hometown last week. By this installation, I have ascended to the throne of my father. I have now been conferred with the title of "Imebuenyi XXIV" of Ogbor clan.
I am aware that this great elevation comes with a myriad of responsibilities. The most important among them is the pursuit of development in Ogbor clan.
During the days of my father, plans were underway to initiate an electrification project across all areas of Ogbor clan. This project was truncated by the transfer of the former operations manager of the Aba branch of the Enugu Electricity Company. I have now been informed that the new operations manager of the branch have now fully assumed duties. I will follow up on this project and ensure that every part of Ogbor clan is connected to the national grid.
Secondly, I am happy to inform you that the state government have now commenced the construction of the Ogbor-Umuahia-Aba road. This road links Ogbor clan to other bustling areas of the state. This implies that investors can now be able to access Ogbor clan more easily. Here in Ogbor, there is abundant land mass that can be utilized for industrialization and consequently, job creation. In view of this, I have requested to have a meeting with the chairman of the State Council on Trade and Investment in order to fashion out ways of attracting investors to Ogbor clan after the construction of the Ogbor-Umuahia-Aba road.
I believe that my reign will move Ogbor people to the promised land because of my desire to embark on numerous developmental projects for the benefit of the people.
I hope to see you soon in my palace.
Yours Sincerely,
Chinonso
