I was at home listening to music while putting on clothes to wash when I heard the cell phone ringing. I closed the lid of the washing machine and went towards my cell phone, when I saw that the call was from my friend Debora, who had recently arrived from a trip.
Debora invited me to dinner at her house, which I quickly accepted, since I hadn’t seen her in a long time, this would be a perfect opportunity to chat and tell the news of the dobora trip, which by the way was a great cook.
I got ready and arrived at the scheduled time, I took a wine to drink while we ate and make the occasion more comfortable. Debora opened the door to the house and the smell of the food made me very excited, besides, I was happy to see that other friends had also been invited and had already arrived. This would be a really fun night.
I entered the house and greeted everyone and went towards a chair that was near the sofa, to sit and participate in the conversation that had started before my arrival. When I sat on the chair, I heard a high-pitched scream and felt a strong pressure on my legs. I got up quickly and saw that I had sat on a cat that was as black as the chair and was completely overwhelmed by my inattentive eyes.
Debora shouted from where she was sitting: "Oh my God! My cat." And ran to nurture the cat, everyone was astonished staring at me. I apologized, which was quickly accepted, but the embarrassment invaded me, for the first time, since I had never been felt embarrassed in my life.

How can language affect communication?
If you speak a different language than the person you are communicating with it is not very effective
Answer:
Language is one of the main things of communication. Say I went to a city in France where every speaks French and only French. I don't speak French so it would be very hard to communicate to the people. You can't tell them what you want and they can't tell you what they want you to do. Language is a very important part of communication. Without it, it would be hard to communicate with one another!

Read the following excerpt. Foley artists use props to create sound effects for movies. Their principal job is to immerse viewers in what they see by including the dimension of sound to add to the experience. Foley artists rarely capture the sounds during live taping that are included in the edited version you view. But, just how is this accomplished? How can the tiptoes of a child or the boom of thunder be recreated? A Foley artist sees the opportunity to use an everyday object to capture the sound: swishing a feather duster across a sheet of paper brings thoughts of a ballerina dancing across center stage, and waving a large piece of heavy aluminum evokes thoughts of a thunderstorm! What is a central idea of this paragraph?
Answer:
The central idea of this passage is to show the importance of the work of the Foley artists in cinemagraph.
Explanation:
The passage above has as its central idea to show the importance of Foley artists in the cinematographic works that we like so much. For this, the passage shows examples of the work of these artists and how it influences the final product. With that, we can see that without certain sounds, films and shows would not have the same effect, however these sounds are difficult to capture and that is why Foley artists are so important and promote an often imperceptible work with a strong impact on the final product.
Answer:
Foley artists use everyday objects to create sounds in movie

What are some positive influences of aunt Georgiana
Answer:
In "A Wagner Matinee", the positive influences of Aunt Georgiana are her motherly care and kindness she showered on Clark when he was with their family. She contributed in shaping the academic life of Clark thereby contributing to his formative years.
Below is an excerpt from the story that explains Aunt Georgiana's positive influence as narrated by :
I owed to this woman most of the good that ever came my way in my boyhood, and had a reverential affection for her. During the years when I was riding herd for my uncle, my aunt, after cooking the three meals--the first of which was ready at six o'clock in the morning-and putting the six children to bed, would often stand until midnight at her ironing board, with me at the kitchen table beside her, hearing me recite Latin declensions and conjugations, gently shaking me when my drowsy head sank down over a page of irregular verbs.
Explanation:
It clearly shows that Aunt Georgiana had an incredibly positive influence during the formative years of Clark.
Clark recalls the kindness of Aunt Georgiana to him when, as a boy, he visited Nebraska. She introduced him to Shakespeare, classical mythology, and also introduced him to the music she played on her small parlour organ.

objective summary of “What Fear Can Teach Us” by Karen Thompson Walker.
Answer:
What Fear Can Teach Us by Karen Thompson Walker
The author tries to explain what fear is and how our minds have been conditioned to view it and how it affects us. She explains that fear is perceived as a weakness that we are always encouraged to overcome and be hopeful for the future. She is also of the opinion that fear makes us see things that are not there, which can be bad or which when harnessed can be good because we can look at possible outcomes and prepare how best to handle them.
She talked about how successful people used fear to get themselves ready for any circumstance and if those fears ever became reality, they were prepared, although it didn't always come to fruition.

Which option is an example of deductive reasoning? A. Carrots are orange. Oranges are orange. Therefore, oranges are carrots, O B. Tim always wears a hat. Therefore, he will not wear a hat tomorrow C. Cities are populated. Chicago is a city. Therefore, Chicago is populated OD. I always get tired at 3 o'clock. Therefore, I will get tired at 3 o'clock today
Answer:
OD. I always get tired at 3 o'clock. Therefore, I will get tired at 3 o'clock today
Explanation:
Deductive reasoning is all about using context clues. You're basically like a detective: "If this clue means this, then I know what that means." You are using information to reasonably say that this other information is true. Let's go over the answers.
A. This one also has some common sense. Oranges are their own fruit. Carrots are their own vegetable. Plus: just because carrots and oranges are both the color orange does not mean that they are the same thing. Two things can have the same color but be entirely different things. Water and blueberries are both blue, but that does not mean that they are the same thing.
B. So from the first sentence we learn that Tim always wears a hat. He never takes it off! Then in the second sentence it says that he won't wear a hat tomorrow. That doesn't make sense. Those two statements clash with each other. One says that he always wears a hat, the other says that he won't wear one tomorrow. Therefore, not deductive reasoning.
C. Just because cities are populated does not mean that Chicago is also populated. It's all about wording: the first sentence does not say that ALL cities are populated. In real life, not every city is full. Some are small cities and don't have that many people.
D. The first sentence says that the narrator always gets tired at 3:00. The second sentence says that they will get tired at 3:00 today. This does make sense. The two sentences go hand in hand with each other. The person always gets tired at 3:00, so they will also get tired at 3:00 today. It makes sense, so this is an example of deductive reasoning.
Answer: cities are populated. Chicago is a city.
