Discuss the limits and opportunities you may have for being able to set and meet life goals. How much do you believe in choice and self-determination? Do you feel outside social factors or something about your own nature keeps you from charting your life course? Do you feel you have more or less self-determination than other people such as friends, classmates, family members, or even celebrities?

Answers

Answer:

See explanation for answer.

Explanation:

As far as limits go, I have ADHD. So I struggle with meeting goals on time, especially long-term goals. I do believe in myself very much but I have my limits such as everyone else does. I lose patience and focus easily. So if my goal doesn't seem in reach I generally quickly determinate it or procrastinate with it. Seeing other people achieve their goals does make me feel like I can never do enough sometimes. Most of the time however it is my own nature that keeps me from meeting and accomplishing my goals. My self-determination is not the problem, I am plenty determined or just as determined as others to meet my goals, I just struggle more internally to do so than others do.

THE STORY OF JACK THE RIPPER

Jack the Ripper terrorized London in 1888, killing at least five women and mutilating their bodies in an unusual manner, indicating that the killer had a substantial knowledge of human anatomy. ... The moniker “Jack the Ripper” originates from a letter—which may have been a hoax—published at the time of the attacks.Leonard Matters suggested Jack the Ripper was seeking revenge on the prostitutes who he believed had murdered his son. ... Unknown to Herbert, Kelly was suffering from Syphilis, which he contracted and killed him two years later. The murderer is also sometimes thought to have made contact by letter with several public figures. These letters, like the chalk message, have never been proved to be authentic, and may have been hoaxes. Jack the Ripper was never caught and he is not thought to have killed again after November 1888.Two of the main suspects that this happened to are Aaron Kosminski and Thomas Cutbush. Both men were declared to be insane and were locked away, ending their lives in asylums. If you believe Frances Coles was a Ripper victim then Cutbush would be the prime suspect as the murders then ended after he was 'caught'.

Which evidence supports the author’s claim “It is no wonder that everyone is gratefully affectionate to the sparrow” in paragraph 4?

A.
“A gentleman, an Englishman, proposed an importation of sparrows, and soon hundreds of these brown-coated little fellows were set loose in different cities.”

B.
“The English house sparrow, a pert, daring little bird, which is seen in crowds in almost all cities of the Northern United States, was first brought to this country about twenty years ago.”

C.
“They are fond of bathing, and after a rain may be seen in crowds fluttering and splashing in the pools of water in the street.”

D.
“They are very social little birds, and are entirely happy amid the noise and dirt and confusion of the crowded street.”

NEED THIS ANSWERED ASAP!

Answers

Answer:

The evidence which supports the author's claim is:

D. "They are very social little birds, and are entirely happy amid the noise and dirt and confusion of the crowded street."

Explanation:

The author's claim is that people like the sparrow. We need to find information to support that claim by explaining why that is.

When we take a look at option A, all we have is a little bit of the history as to how sparrows ended spreading through the cities.

Option B mentions some qualities of the sparrow and some history, but this is still not enough to support the claim.

Option C describes some behaviors of the bird but, again, they are not the type of thing that would justify people liking them.

Finally, option D is the correct one. The fact that sparrows are social would already be enough to explain why people are fond of them. But, besides that, sparrows are okay with noisy, crowded cities, which makes them even more likable.

What are both lincoln's gettysburg address and king's noble prize acceptance speech asking of their audiance

Answers

Answer:

Both speeches ask people not to give up fighting for what they believe.

Explanation:

Lincoln's speech at Gettysburg and Martin Luther King's speech on winning the Nobel Prize are very impressive speeches and one of the most important ones ever recited, due to the situations they addressed. Lincoln's speech referred to the end of the American civil war and how the victory for the union of the country was important, but this victory was only possible because people did not give up defending what they believed in, which was the union of the country and the care with the territory.

King, on the other hand, reinforced the fight for civil rights in his speech, in addition to highlighting other struggles that have been established around the world and have promoted improvements to social groups that have not given up on conquering and defending what they believe.
