The Allies avoid a costly invasion of the Japanese home islands by:
A. Signing a peace treaty with Japan.
B. Crushing the Japanese navy.
C. Dropping the atomic bomb.
D. Killing the Emperor.
Answer:
C. Dropping the atomic bomb
Explanation:
The allies had already fought the hard island hopping campaign, and they knew an invasion of Japan would be very hard. They also saw that the Soviet Union rather than liberating eastern Europe it was occupying and establish communist regimes. This caused the US to come to an agreement and drop 2 bombs on Japan, on August 6th, Hiroshima, on the 9th, Nagasaki. WW2 ended immediately as the Japanese emperor surrendered.
The Allies avoid a costly invasion of the Japanese home islands by Dropping the atomic bomb. Thus the correct option is C.
What are Allies? In World War II, the countries known as the Allies fought alongside Britain, France, and the United States. To stand with someone else to advance a shared interest is to be a friend.
The idea for the invasion of the Japanese home islands by the Allies near the conclusion of World War II was called Operation Downfall. After the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan submitted, and the operation was discontinued.
Operation Olympic was planned to start in November 1945 with the goal of taking control of the southern third of the most southerly primary Japanese island. Therefore, option C is appropriate.

Why did the trial represent the changes of the 1920’s?
Explanation:
Scopes Trial:
It made for great oratory between eminent rivals, and it put the debate over teaching evolution on front pages across the country. But one thing the Scopes "monkey trial" of 1925 did not do was settle the contentious issue of evolution in the schools, which continues to incite strong passions and court actions to this day.
Narrowly, the trial was about challenging a newly passed Tennessee state law against teaching evolution or any other theory denying the biblical account of the creation of man. Broadly, the case reflected a collision of traditional views and values with more modern ones: It was a time of evangelism by figures such as Aimee Semple McPherson and Billy Sunday against forces, including jazz, sexual permissiveness, and racy Hollywood movies, which they thought were undermining the authority of the Bible and Christian morals in society.
Scope's trial represented the changes of the 1920’s.
What is the Scope's Trial? The Scopes Trial, also known as the Scopes Monkey Trial, was the 1925 prosecution of science teacher John Scopes for teaching evolution in a Tennessee public school, which a recent bill had made illegal.
What happened in Scope's trial?Scopes Trial- In 1925, John Scopes was convicted and fined $100 for teaching evolution in his Dayton, Tenn., classroom. The first highly publicized trial concerning the teaching of evolution, the Scopes trial also represents a dramatic clash between traditional and modern values in America of the 1920s.
Thus, Scope's trial represented the changes of the 1920’s.

Will give branly and thanks
The first known infections from SARS-CoV-2 were discovered in Wuhan, China. The original source of viral transmission to humans remains unclear, as does whether the virus became pathogenic before or after the spillover event. Because many of the early infectees were workers at the Huanan Seafood Market, it has been suggested that the virus might have originated from the market. However, other research indicates that visitors may have introduced the virus to the market, which then facilitated rapid expansion of the infections

can someone give me a brief explanation about ww1?
like what countries were involved, what caused it, why they were fighting, etc
same for ww2
i’m curious
Answer:
Well WW1 was caused for many reasons, but one that stood out was the assasination of a man from Austria. There were LOTS of countries involved: Russia, Italy, Japan, mainly Germany tho. WW2 was mainly because of Germany too. There was an economic depression and Japan was involved. Adolf Hitler was a huge figure during that war.
Explanation:
Answer:
Everyone knew it was coming
Explanation:
WW1 was caused by the assassination of the Austrian-Hungarian Archduke Franz Fernand in Serbia, which had previously declared independence from the Austrian-Hungarian empire. This led to an escalation and the Austrian Hungarian Empire declared war on Serbia, this led to the United Kingdom and France also declaring war, but on the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Germany, an ally of the AH Empire, declared war on the Serbian and the allies. This led to the creation of the Allies (UK, France, and Russia) and the Central Powers (Germany and AH Empire, later the Ottoman Empire would join). The main goal was to conquer more territory and destroy the allies, as in every war. However, this war was known as "The Great War" back then. I should mention that the US did not join until it was known that Germany sent the Zimmerman Telegram in 1917. Fast forward the AH Empire surrendered, and finally, Germany surrendered as well. This led to the Treaty of Versailles, which punished Germany a lot. It had to give land back to France, pay a huge amount of money it didn't have, reduce the military to only 100,000 men, no air force, and Poland was created out of its borders. Many people say that this is the reason why WW2 began in the first place, because it caused the rise of Hitler. aaaaaaaannddd here we go to WW2
WW2 was caused because the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany. Hitler made an alliance with Stalin (Leader of the Soviet Union) that they would both invade Poland so Hitler would not end up fighting a war on two sides. The United Kingdom and France declared war on Germany. Hitler's main goal was Lebensraum meaning that he needed to conquer the world so he could increase the Aryan race. Hitler invaded France in 1940, and just like that, France fell to the Germans. Then, Hitler invaded the Soviet Union in 1941. The Soviets were pushed back, and the Germans were at the gates of Moscow. However, winter came, and the germans had to wait until the spring. The Soviets pushed the germans out of Moscow. Fast forward the US declared war on Japan after the attacks of Pearl Harbor, and officially enter WW2 in 1941. In 1944, the Americans led an invasion of France to liberate them. Fast forward to 1945, Hitler committed suicid in his bunker. WW2 ended in Europe on May 8, 1945 as the Soviets captured Berlin. The Americans dropped 2 bombs on Japan, one in Hiroshima, and one in Nagasaki. It officially ended on September 1, 1945 as the Japanese surrendered. This led to the rise of 2 global superpowers, the United States, and the Soviet Union, which will start the Cold War, which lasted 1947-1991. The Soviet Union would collapse in 1991, but thats a story for another time :)
Allies: USA, UK, France, Soviet Union, among others
Axis Powers: Nazi Germany, Italy, Japan, among others
