Please help ARE THESE a semicolon or comma
; or , I NEED HELP ASAP I GIVE BRAINLY
Answer:
1) semicolon
2) comma
3) semicolon
Explanation:
semicolons are used to separate two independent clauses. Independent clauses are phrases that make sense on their own. The comma is needed in #2 because the phrases don't make sense on their own. In that case, a semicolon wouldn't work there.

3. What is the key point Gladwell makes in the paragraph beginning, “Some of this
grandiosity is to be expected” (para. 9)? How does he connect his statement
“Innovators tend to be solipsists” with the assertion that ends the paragraph, that
"we seem to have forgotten what activism is."
The key point he makes is that the mainstream media is more concerned with getting attention than reporting the seriousness of issues. He starts this with the fact that these American media present all kinds of news from an American perspective, forgetting that there are other perspectives that must be portrayed if activism is to actually be promoted by the media.
We can arrive at this answer because:
The author uses the word "solipsists" to refer to the mainstream American news media. This word refers to people who only see their own perspectives, as if the whole world revolves around them, not caring about how each situation affects other people. The author associates this word with the American media to highlight its role in making news about international problems circulate in all of America. The author reinforces the idea that this does not help in solving world problems, does not promote effective activism, but reinforces attention to the American media and places America as the protagonist of an issue that does not belong to it.

True or False: Studies have NOT shown a connection between organization and success in school.
Answer: False
Explanation: Studies actually have shown a connection between organization and success in school.
"In a 2008 study, teachers at three separate public schools analyzed possible reasons behind the low grades of students in grades 3-12. In all of the cases, the root of the [students’] problems – late work, unpreparedness, lax attitudes – related to the students’ organizational methods, or lack thereof. There was a direct correlation to the disorganization inside students’ desks, lockers, binders, book bags and pencil pouches and their success and grades.
The study further noted that when any organizational intervention was taken with the low achieving students, the students’ and their grades greatly benefited."

We have a debate being held day after tomorrow and our topic is "Social Media makes us less Active" and we are for the topic. Please help us get some small points and please help in our counter attacking too. Thank you!!
Answer:
Although social networks are of great help and certainly contribute to the development of society, they are a double-edged sword since misuse brings many risks.
Explanation:
Social networks can be useful and help us in certain aspects of daily life such as in the case of facilitating communication, especially if we are at great distances from each other.
We use different applications too much and surely badly, many young people of our generation become addicted to them, creating both a social and personal dependency that leads to comparing themselves and receiving acceptance from their peers for a "like" or a heart. This constant comparison is not healthy, it is neither physically nor psychologically healthy. We are not satisfied with our lives because we often see the highlights of the lives of others, comparing our lives with theirs thinking: "Why can't I have that?" You do see a photo of a friend of yours in the Caribbean on a perfectly white beach, with crystal blue water. You are immediately and inevitably envious, thinking that everyone has a better life than yours. But that is not true, our use of social networks is focused on highlighting the best and most beautiful moments. Most of the things you see on social media are nothing more than that, causing us all to compare ourselves and end up in a visceral cycle of dissatisfaction with everything we have, be it good or bad.
Not only comparing your life with false ideals is harmful, but social networks prevent uncomfortable social situations simply by looking at the phone and thus not having to deal with strangers or situations that generate some kind of stress. For example, if you go to a conference, most people and especially young people prefer to avoid the mildly stressful or uncomfortable process of meeting new people by engaging with their phone. So we are still “socializing” on social networks, but this way, real relationships and real friendships are not formed. We just have the illusion of being socially active while sharing less socially than ever.
In conclusion, social networks facilitate our day to day, help us organize, plan and communicate. But we have to use and emphasize how important it is to learn the good use of social networks. To use them carefully because their excessive use makes us less social. Addiction, constant comparison and the tendency to flee from stressful situations through our devices pose serious psycho-social risks for our generation and perhaps sometimes it would be better if we put down our cell phones and confront real life.
