What are the causes and consequences of discriminating women?
Answer:
Gender discrimination has a significant impact on mental and physical health worldwide. It can limit peoples' access to healthcare, increase rates of ill health, and lower life expectancy. While it is true that women live longer than men on average, they experience higher rates of ill health during their lifetimes.
Answer:
Discrimination based on gender has a substantial influence on mental and physical health in many countries. In addition to limiting people's access to healthcare, it can also increase the number of individuals who are unwell and reduce life expectancy. A woman's life expectancy may be greater on average than a man's, but she's more likely to suffer from ill health throughout her lifespan.

This question is missing the options. I've found the complete question online. It is the following:
Read the sentence from Barrio Boy by Ernesto Galarza.
José bought us two cardboard suitcases and one for himself, and an alarm clock like the one we used to try to win in the lottery tent in Mazatlan.
Which word has a connotative meaning in the sentence?
cardboard
suitcases
alarm
tent
Answer:
The word that has a connotative meaning in the sentence is: cardboard.
Explanation:
Connotative meaning refers to a meaning other than the literal one. This connotative meaning can have its origin in social or cultural associations. In this particular case, if we were to take "cardboard" literally, we would imagine suitcases actually made from cardboard boxes. But, even though they have such a name, they aren't really made from cardboard. We can, thus, say that "cardboard" has a connotative meaning in this passage.

Pls help me with this Answer.... Describe Mourad in your own words ?
Answer:
Mourad was a young boy of the Armenian tribe who loved his cousin Aram. He could handle every situation as he had a way of his own with everything in the world, In order to fulfil his passion of riding horses, He stole the horse of john byro and kept it secretly for a long time
Explanation:
Answer: Mourad and Aram were cousins and belonged to Garoghlanian tribe which was known for its honesty. Mourad was thirteen and Aram was nine years old. Both longed to ride a horse. But their family was too poor to buy a horse. Both were adventure-loving. Both knew that their family was well known for honesty and right conduct. But Mourad could not help stealing John Byro’s horse. While he had a streak of craziness, Aram was honest and simple-hearted. Mourad was more talented and bolder than Aram. He domesticated the wild horse of John Byro. He repaired the injured wing of a robin bird; he knew how to deal with a horse, and how to soothe a dog. Comparatively, Aram was timid and obedient. Mourad could easily lie to John Byro about the horse. Aram could never do it.
Uncle Khosrove was widely known to be crazy. He was short-tempered and impatient as well. He stopped others from talking by shouting at them. His stock saying was: it is no harm, pay no attention to it. ‘Mourad had got that craziness from Uncle Khosrove.

For his persuasive speech, Tomas first identified all the objections to his position, and then he used evidence to argue against those objections. What organizational pattern is Tomas using for his speech
The correct answer to this open question is the following.
Although there are no options provided, we can say that the organizational pattern Tomas is using for his speech is the Refutation Pattern.
This is the correct answer because in the Refutation Patter, the speaker search for the probable opposition arguments of its audience to prepare the right answers and arguments before its speech. This way he/she could have the best answers and the way to supporting when the speaker is faced with oppositions.
That is what Tomas is doing, for his persuasive speech. He first identified all the objections to his position, and then he used evidence to argue against those objections.

Giving you more characters to express yourself
By Aliza Rosen and Ikuhiro Ihara
Tuesday, 26 September 2017
Trying to cram your thoughts into a Tweet – we’ve all been there, and it’s a pain.
Interestingly, this isn't a problem everywhere people Tweet. For example, when I (Aliza) Tweet in English, I quickly run into the 140 character limit and have to edit my Tweet down so it fits. Sometimes, I have to remove a word that conveys an important meaning or emotion, or I don’t send my Tweet at all. But when Iku Tweets in Japanese, he doesn’t have the same problem. He finishes sharing his thought and still has room to spare. This is because in languages like Japanese, Korean, and Chinese you can convey about double the amount of information in one character as you can in many other languages, like English, Spanish, Portuguese, or French.
We want every person around the world to easily express themselves on Twitter, so we're doing something new: we're going to try out a longer limit, 280 characters, in languages impacted by cramming (which is all except Japanese, Chinese, and Korean).
Although this is only available to a small group right now, we want to be transparent about why we are excited to try this. Here are some of our findings
2. Read the given extract and answer the questions that follows. The tree stretches in the sun It knows the birds that fly The beasts that run, climb and jump From its heavy loaded branches It yawns and digs its roots a) What does the animals and birds do? b) Name the poem and the poet. c)What is the poetic device used in this stanza ? Pick the line and write.
Answer and Explanation:
a) What do the animals and birds do?
The animals and birds use the tree freely, climbing it, jumping or flying from its branches. This is the tree in summer, according to the poem.
b) Name the poem and the poet.
The poem is called "The tree in Season", and it was written by Robert Fisher.
c) What is the poetic device used in this stanza? Pick the line and write.
The most evident poetic device used in this stanza is personification. Through personification, an author attributes human-like qualities to non-human beings or living qualities to non-living objects. The tree is just a tree. It has no mind, no knowledge. Yet, the speaker says it "knows the birds". The tree does not have a moving body, like animals and humans do. It cannot move on its own. Yet, the speaker says it "stretches" and "yawns".
Read this paragraph from chapter 5 of The Prince. There are, for example, the Spartans and the Romans. The Spartans held Athens and Thebes, establishing there an oligarchy: nevertheless they lost them. The Romans, in order to hold Capua, Carthage, and Numantia, dismantled them, and did not lose them. They wished to hold Greece as the Spartans held it, making it free and permitting its laws, and did not succeed. So to hold it they were compelled to dismantle many cities in the country, for in truth there is no safe way to retain them otherwise than by ruining them. And he who becomes master of a city accustomed to freedom and does not destroy it, may expect to be destroyed by it, for in rebellion it has always the watchword of liberty and its ancient privileges as a rallying point, which neither time nor benefits will ever cause it to forget. And whatever you may do or provide against, they never forget that name or their privileges unless they are disunited or dispersed, but at every chance they immediately rally to them, as Pisa after the hundred years she had been held in bondage by the Florentines. Which statement best summarizes the central idea of the paragraph?
Answer:
Is
Explanation:
The Romans, in order to hold Capua, Carthage, and Numantia, dismantled them, and did not lose them. They wished to hold Greece as the Spartans held it, making it free and permitting its laws, and did not succeed.

The Geneva convention set up regulation and rules for how POWs should be treated regardless of what side they are from, breaking this rules would be considered a war crime. If you are talking about ww2, Jewish indaviduals that fought back against the Germans were killed instantly, the civilians were kept in concentration camps, and most were exterminated, as for Post WW2, Jewish POWs should be treated as any other POW

The answers correct errors with clauses in the passage is The cinnamon roll is created from yeast-activated dough, which is rolled out in a rectangular shape. Thus the correct option is B.
