Answers

Answer 1

One result of the election of Andrew Jackson in 1828 is increased levels of voter participation.

ABOUT ANDREW JACKSON

Andrew Jackson was born on March 15 1767 in a hamlet, Waxhaw, South Carolina. Two weeks before his birth, his father passed away. Andrew Jackson was orphaned at birth. Andrew Jackson was educated by his mother who lived with his brother-in-law. During this time she did not have many opportunities to attend school, but she had a strong will, an independent spirit, and great courage living within her.

At the age of 13 he joined the American militia and fought in the American Revolution against Britain, which then flared up into the American War of Independence. He was captured and held captive by the enemy.

During his captivity he once refused to polish the shoes of an English officer; the officer struck him with a sword, a mark which remained with the sword for the rest of his life. Thanks to her mother's pleas, she was released from captivity, but several months later her mother died from a fever she caught while working as a voluntary nurse for Americans taken prisoner by the British. Andrew Jackson was orphaned at the age of 14.

This developed a dislike for the British people, a feeling that would affect him throughout his life. At first Andrew Jackson tried to become a teacher, then he began studying law at the age of 17 years. This learning he did not get through school, but from a lawyer's office. He then obtained a license to practice law and moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he became a wealthy and influential man.

He became the first person to represent the state of Tennessee in the United States Congress, and was later appointed a senator to fill the seat of a deceased senator. In the same year he left the senate to take care of personal matters.

After leaving the senate, Andrew Jackson became a prosecutor at the Tennessee High Court.

what two pledges appeared to ease tensions between the united states and germany, but in actuality, did little?

Answers

The two pledges that appeared to ease tensions between the United States and Germany were the "Sussex Pledge" and the "Hoover Moratorium."

The "Sussex Pledge" was a promise made by Germany in 1916 to refrain from using submarines to sink merchant ships without warning. However, this pledge was not honored by the German government and attacks on American ships continued.

The "Hoover Moratorium" was a plan proposed by President Herbert Hoover in 1931 to suspend war debt payments and reduce tensions between the US and Germany. However, this plan was not accepted by other countries and did not result in any significant reduction of tensions between the two nations.

Both pledges were intended to ease tensions between the United States and Germany, but in reality, they did not have a significant impact on the relationship between the two countries. Both pledges were not honored, and they failed to bring any real change to the situation and failed to ease the tensions.

Following the American Civil War, Confederate-era state governments made an effort to restrict black voters' right to vote and forbid interactions between black and white people in public spaces.

Jim Crow laws and Black codes were both implemented at various times in the southern United States to enforce racial segregation and limit the voting power of Black people.

Some states implemented black codes that severely restricted the rights of Black people, many of whom had been enslaved, after the Civil War ended in 1865. These laws restricted the kind of jobs that African Americans may have and their right to quit a job after being hired. Other states placed limitations on the types of property that Black people may possess.

The Reconstruction Act of 1867 reduced the impact of the anti-Black laws by mandating that all states obey the 14th Amendment's guarantee of equal protection, particularly by allowing voting rights for Black men.

The assembly meetings were the main political gatherings of ancient Athens. Members of the assembly, unlike those in a parliament, were not chosen; rather, they came as they pleased.

Any adult male citizen over the age of 20 may participate, and it was required to do so. This type of Greek democracy was established in Athens and was direct rather than representative.

In a procedure known as sortition, the representatives of the democracy were selected in large part by lottery and selected in part by the Assembly.

The assembly's four primary duties were to issue executive orders, elect some officials, pass laws, and adjudicate cases of political crimes. The last function was transferred to the legal system's courts as the system developed.

Describing the effects of vertical integration on society. Include at least one effect of vertical integration on society that is both beneficial and bad.

Vertical integration calls for the direct ownership of suppliers, distributors, or retail locations in order for a firm to have more control over its supply chain. Gaining better productivity, spending less money, and having more control over the manufacturing or distribution process are some possible advantages.

By integrating various supply chain levels, businesses may control supplies, reduce costs, boost output, and increase efficiency. Vertical integration also encourages economies of scale, preventing supply chain disruption and supplier dominance.

Vertical mergers will have fewer economies of scale since production is at a stage of supply that is different from the stage of demand. Mergers may lead to increased coordination and communication problems inside the larger, more scattered firm.

Vertical integration makes sense as a strategy because it helps a business to reduce costs across multiple sectors of production, ensures better quality control, and enhances the flow and control of information throughout the supply chain.
