What is the main idea in this passage?

A enjoying a new movie B)
B learning about history C)
C how a movie was written
D knowing about countries

Oh and here's the passage (if you read it, thanks for reading it).

1If you liked last summer’s Merry Maids, you’ll love this season’s Lucky Flowers—the newest film from director Mike Willow. He is known all over the world of cinema for his odd method of storytelling. In this film, Willow does a fine job of directing the actors to seem real and genuine in their desires. The subject matter is quite different from anything else currently showing in movie theaters, but this movie makes an important point about happiness. Lucky Flowers is an outstanding success among Willow’s body of work. This coming-of-age story is the first in a new trilogy. In this film, a young poet named Jesse Germane travels to several places in Europe. He says he feels clogged and wants to find the perfect subject for his writing. Up until his international travels, Jesse has lived a rather boring life—or so he thinks. While in Europe, Jesse learns several lessons about himself, literature, and the meaning of life. 3Dazzling vistas serve as the background for many of the scenes in the film—a signature feature of Willow’s movies. One of the most memorable scenes in the film follows the lead character as he walks through the vast gardens of Versailles with his idol, writer Neil Dungeon (played by himself). During this exchange, one has to choose which part of the film to focus on: the amazing scenery or the fascinating dialogue between the two characters. In a perfect world, this movie would last twice as long. That way the audience could more thoroughly enjoy the work of the cast and crew. Thank goodness for DVDs, as this film definitely deserves a place on your living room shelf. 4In Italy, Jesse visits historical monuments and meets many famous artists. The camera sweeps from the rural countryside through the old romantic cities. Both locations inspire Jesse to write rhythmic verse. He uses whatever kind of paper lies close at hand. In one scene, Jesse scribbles a poem on his dinner napkin to the amusement of the other dinner guests. When Jesse isn’t hunched over his desk writing poetry, he’s penning letters to his family in America. His correspondence is spoken aloud over several scenes, read by the same fine actor who plays Jesse. In the end, in time to a loud symphony of music, Jesse realizes that the finest subjects in literature are the everyday relationships that make up our lives. He pens a poem in honor of living simply. The poem goes on to influence all sorts of readers. My only complaint in regard to this movie is about the point that everyone should be satisfied with his or her everyday life. This idea seems out of place with the main character’s need to travel to the ends of the earth. Otherwise, Lucky Flowers is a surprisingly smart film that will entertain the whole family.

once again thanks for reading it.
here's question 2(when you answer put answer 2) if you're up for it.

What does the author dislike about the movie?
A the actors who played the writers
B the speaking between the characters
C the lesson learned by the main character
D the many different settings in the movie

CONGRATS YOU GET 100 POINTS IF YOU DID IT ALL RIGHT

Answers

Answer 1

Answer: A

Explanation:  They love watching that movie, like most people they want to enjoy the movie answer A

Answer 2

Answer:

1. A

2. B

Explanation:

1. The movie goes into depth about the characters, plot, and lessons learned in the movie, thus helping us make inferences that the passage doesn't want us to pay attention to the process the movie was created, history, or other countries, but rather about the movie itself.

2. The author gives insight at the end of the passage that suggests he didn't like the 'point' made by the movie. He doesn't talk about character dialogue and he went into a lot of depth about the different settings and actors, which suggests that he overlooked the dialogue and therefore wasn't bothered by it, and also that he liked the settings and actors of the movie, since he was so thorough in introducing them to his audience.

Which statement describes a major difference between a traditional poem and a free verse poem?
A traditional poem may contain alliteration, but a free verse poem does not contain this sound device.
A traditional poem may contain regular meter and rhyme scheme, but a free verse poem does not contain these elements.
A traditional poem may contain rhyme and figurative language, but a free verse poem does not contain these elements.
A traditional poem may contain imagery, but a free verse poem does not relay vivid images to the reader.

Answers

Answer:

A traditional poem may contain regular meter and rhyme scheme, but a free verse poem does not contain these elements.

Explanation:

A traditional poem is the type of poetry that contains a certain rhyme scheme and adheres to a specific structure. This means that it follows a particular meter, pattern, or 'rule' of writing poetry.

On the other hand, a free verse, as the name suggests, is a free form of writing poetry where the author writes the poem however he/she wants. There is no specific pattern or scheme to be followed though the use of figurative languages may still be employed.

Thus, the statement that describes the major difference between the two is the second option.

Explain how a speech topic could be organized using different organizational patterns. List the organizational patterns provided in the textbook. Explain the connection between the type of outline you would choose, and the impact it can have on delivery.

Answers

Answer and Explanation:

The topic of a speech can be organized into different patterns. In general there are three patterns that are chronological, spatial and division by topics. The use of each one of them must be associated with the objective of the speaker and the nature of the topic of the speech. In this case, we can consider that the chronological pattern allows the topic of the speech to be organized in relation to time.

This type of organization would be interesting for discreet people who want to make comparisons between how a subject was approached in the past and how it is approached today. The outline for this type of standard must have specific dates and events.

The spatial pattern promotes exploration in terms of geographic space and how the main topic is analyzed in different regions. An outline for this pattern must be presented with names of places, borders, among others.

The division by topics should be used when the main topic will be covered comprehensively, presenting different strands and interpretations. The outline should also present these topics and the relationship between them.

Answer:

Speakers can use a variety of different organizational patterns, including categorical/topical, comparison/contrast, spatial, chronological, biographical, causal, problem-cause-solution, and psychological.

Re-read lines 1-25 What does Shakespeare suggest about appearance vs. reality? Why does Hamlet reject to overacting?

Answers

Answer:

1. Shakespeare suggests that there is little difference between appearance and reality. In the dramatization, many characters assumed behaviors that were not true indications of who they truly were. They eventually turned out to be that which they imitated.

2. Hamlet in addressing the players warned against overacting because it was not a true reflection of things and it removes originality from what is projected. Only the unwise were moved by overacting but it was unappealing to the wise.

Explanation:

1. The play, Hamlet, featured a lot of characters that showed the contrast between appearance and reality. The character Hamlet was one of such who pretended to be mad but was later driven to madness because of his actions. Shakespeare suggests that it was not wise for us to pretend to be that which we are not because in the act of pretending, we could actually become that which we were pretending to be.

2. Hamlet hated overacting and counseled the players against overacting because it detracts from the original way things should be. It entertains the foolish but was not interesting to the knowledgeable. In Act 3 Scene 2 he told the players to avoid gesticulating too much but that they should act like gentlemen and use their discretion.
