In Chapter 5 of The Outsiders, the setting of the old abandoned church influences the mood by creating a safe place where the boys have time to think, but it also creates tension because they can't stay there forever.

What the church in chapter 5 of Outsiders emphasize ?

The old abandoned church in Chapter 5 of "The Outsiders" emphasizes the themes of friendship, isolation, and coming of age. The church becomes a safe haven for the main character, Ponyboy, and his friend, Johnny, as they hide from the police and the rival gang.

The church is described as being in a state of disrepair, but it provides a shelter for the boys to hide out in. This creates a sense of safety and security for them, which influences the mood in a positive way.

However, the realization that they cannot stay there indefinitely creates a sense of tension and uncertainty, which adds to the mood. Additionally, the church setting is described as being peaceful and serene, which contrasts with the violence and chaos of the boys' lives, and this contrast also influences the mood.

First, choose two sources from each of the research

the title of each source in your summary.

Second Page:Source: “Acceptability of smartphone technology to interrupt sedentary time in adults with
diabetes”
Abstract
Breaking up sitting time with light- or moderate-intensity physical activity may help to alleviate some negative health effects of sedentary behavior, but few studies have examined ways
to effectively intervene. This feasibility study examined the acceptability of a new technology
(NEAT!) developed to interrupt prolonged bouts (≥20 min) of sedentary time among adults with
type 2 diabetes. Eight of nine participants completed a 1-month intervention and agreed that
NEAT! made them more conscious of sitting time. Most participants (87.5 %) expressed a desire
to use NEAT! in the future. Sedentary time decreased by 8.1± 4.5 %, and light physical activity
increased by 7.9± 5.5 % over the 1-month period. The results suggest that NEAT! is an acceptable technology to intervene on sedentary time among adults with type 2 diabetes. Future
studies are needed to examine the use of the technology among larger samples and determine
its effects on glucose and insulin levels.
DISCUSSION
The current study suggests that the NEAT! technology is a feasible and acceptable tool to intervene on sedentary time among adults with type 2 diabetes, who may be unduly adversely
affected by excessive sitting. Participants used the technology for an average of 21 days over a
1-month period and indicated that using the technology made them more aware of how much
time they spent sitting. Furthermore, the majority of individuals agreed that they would use the
technology in the future if it were available, further suggesting NEAT!’s acceptability. As smartphone usage in the USA continues to rise, this ubiquitous technology may provide an opportunity to intervene to improve the health of a large proportion of the population.
CONCLUSIONS
Given the expected rise in the prevalence of diabetes in the USA, as well as the strong detrimental association between sedentary time and insulin or glucose levels, innovative approaches are
needed to break up prolonged sedentary behavior among the large proportion of the population affected by diabetes. The results of this study suggest that the NEAT! technology is an
acceptable tool for use by adults with type 2 diabetes. Additional refinement of the technology
is needed further to optimize improvements in sedentary time, physical activity, and breaks in
sedentary behavior. Examination of longer-term effects of using the technology on glucose and
insulin levels is also warranted.

What wave property is different between each region of the electromagnetic spectrum?

Answers

Answer:

The different types of radiation are defined by the amount of energy found in the photons. Radio waves have photons with low energies, microwave photons have a little more energy than radio waves, infrared photons have still more, then visible, ultraviolet, X-rays, and, the most energetic of all, gamma-rays.

Explanation:

The wave properties that are different between each region of the electromagnetic spectrum are wavelength and frequency.

What is the electromagnetic spectrum?

The electromagnetic spectrum shows the ranges of all types of electromagnetic radiation. They tell the frequencies of electromagnetic radiations with respect to their wavelengths and energies of photons. Radiation is an entity that travels and passes through objects.

The energy contained in the photons determines the various forms of radiation. Low-energy photons make up radio waves; microwave photons have a little bit more energy than radio waves; infrared photons have much more energy, and the most energetic photons of them are gamma rays.

Therefore, the differences between each region of the electromagnetic spectrum are frequency and wavelength.

Thoughtful acts can take many forms, such as unexpected help or even just a kind word. Explain how a thoughtful act can benefit those involved. Use specific details and examples

Answers

Answer: Okay here I go

A kind and thoughtful act will benefit the person who is receiving the good deed, and the giver. An act as big as sponsoring a struggling business is very beneficial, and an act as small as giving your Starbucks coffee to a homeless person is just as great. Of course, the person who is receiving this will get a good benefit, because they are getting the gift. The giver won’t get an object, but they will get a good feeling inside, and they might even earn something back in return. In conclusion, a good act of kindness goes a very long way, benefiting the giver, and the receiver.

Thoughtful acts can benefit me and influence me to help others more often, and help me grow as a person. A thoughtful act can benefit the person I helped. Thoughtful acts make the person I helped feel appreciated and loved. It makes them feel like someone was there for them when no one else was.

Memories of a Memory

Have you ever witnessed something amazing, shocking or surprising and found when describing the event that your story seems to change the more you tell it? Have you ever experienced a time when you couldn't really describe something you saw in a way that others could understand? If so, you may understand why some experts think eyewitness testimony is unreliable as evidence in scientific inquiries and trials. New insights into human memory suggest human memories are really a mixture of many non-factual things.

First, memory is vague. Imagine your room at home or a classroom you see every day. Most likely, you could describe the room very generally. You could name the color of the walls, the floors, the decorations. But the image you describe will never be as specific or detailed as if you were looking at the actual room. Memory tends to save a blurry image of what we have seen rather than specific details. So when a witness tries to identify someone, her brain may recall that the person was tall, but not be able to say how tall when faced with several tall people. There are lots of different kinds of "tall."

Second, memory uses general knowledge to fill in gaps. Our brains reconstruct events and scenes when we remember something. To do this, our brains use other memories and other stories when there are gaps. For example, one day at a library you go to quite frequently, you witness an argument between a library patron and one of the librarians. Later, when telling a friend about the event, your brain may remember a familiar librarian behind the desk rather than the actual participant simply because it is recreating a familiar scene. In effect, your brain is combining memories to help you tell the story.

Third, your memory changes over time. It also changes the more you retell the story. Documented cases have shown eyewitnesses adding detail to testimony that could not have been known at the time of the event. Research has also shown that the more a witness's account is told, the less accurate it is. You may have noticed this yourself. The next time you are retelling a story, notice what you add, or what your brain wants to add, to the account. You may also notice that you drop certain details from previous tellings of the story.

With individual memories all jumbled up with each other, it is hard to believe we ever know anything to be true. Did you really break your mother's favorite vase when you were three? Was that really your father throwing rocks into the river with you when you were seven? The human brain may be quite remarkable indeed. When it comes to memory, however, we may want to start carrying video cameras if we want to record the true picture.

Part A and Part B below contain one fill-in-the-blank to be used for all three question responses. Your complete response must be in the format A, B, C including the letter choice, commas, and a space after the commas.

Part A:

Which of the following best explains what the title "Memories of a Memory" means"?

Fill in blank 1 using A, B, or C.

Our memories are not as real or factual as we think they are.

Our memories from childhood are not necessarily correct.

Some people have memories that are not based in fact.

Part B

Select one quotation from the text that supports your answer to Part A. Add your selection to blank 1 using F, G, or H.
Our brains reconstruct events and scenes when we remember something.

Later, when telling a friend about the event, your brain may remember a familiar librarian behind the desk.

Research has also shown that the more a witness's account is told, the less accurate it is

Select one quotation from the text that supports your answer to Part A. Add your selection to blank 1 using I, J, or K.

Skunks are omnivores. They can be found eating nuts, berries, roots, leaves, grasses and even some types of fungi (mushroom-like plants). For animals, they enjoy dining on rodents such as mice and rats, insects, earthworms, frogs, lizards, toads and birds. Sometimes when they are unable to find live animals to eat they become scavengers eating dead animals left behind. When they live close to people’s homes, skunks sometimes will even get into trash cans eating, garbage.

When skunks eat they do not limit themselves to small meals. They like to “pig out” on whatever food they can find. When there is a large amount of food available skunks get very fat very quickly.
