Read the excerpt from "The Night the Bed Fell."

I suppose that the high-water mark of my youth in Columbus, Ohio, was the night the bed fell on my father. It makes a better recitation (unless, as some friends of mine have said, one has heard it five or six times) than it does a piece of writing, for it is almost necessary to throw furniture around, shake doors, and bark like a dog, to lend the proper atmosphere and verisimilitude to what is admittedly a somewhat incredible tale. Still, it did take place.

Dear diary,

Today was my brothers birthday. I helped him organize it and invited his friends he had a great time we had ice cream cake-vanilla. We open presents after we played pin the tail on the donkey and musical chairs. Then, we invited everyone to the pool. They had a great time. Popsicles, playing in the sun, tag. He loved it. After everyone went home, he ran up to me and gave me a giant hug. He said “I love you.” The party was for sure is a success and right after we cleaned up I completely forgot that I was the one who did all of it. He said he had the best birthday ever. I’m glad he loved it because I love him, too. Happy birthday, Buddy.

The Impressionists, a group of French painters from the 1800s, are
famous for rebelling against the artistic standards of their time. While
most painters were finding fame and success with realistic images of
important subjects, the Impressionists painted impressions -
personal ways of seeing things - that were far less realistic. They also
chose subjects that were ordinary and even boring, some would say,
for example, Claude Monet painted over 25 pictures of haystacks.

they are now some of the most beloved and classic artworks in the
world. Monet's haystack paintings hang in the world's greatest art
museums, and copies decorate the walls of banks, hotels, and medical
offices everywhere. Their popularity shows just how well the

Generally speaking, the artists and writers of the Lost Generation were highly praised for

their insightfulness and astute social commentary. How can we reconcile this with the

support such individuals as Ezra Pound and Gertrude Stein lent to so ruthless and

inhumane a dictator as Adolf Hitler?

Answers

Answer:

We can reinforce that these writers had an admirable mastery of words, in addition to a strong artistic sense, even though their social positions are controversial today.

Explanation:

As we know, Pound and Stein had a strong anti-Americanism, pointing to Samerican positions that were damaging society in a progressive and influential way. This can promote these writers as great social advocates, who have positioned themselves without fear, through their artistic skills. However, we must not forget that both present very controversial ideas, mainly in relation to fascism and blind support for Hitler, which we know was not beneficial.
