I am a young boy who believe in hard-work and transparency. I am seriously bothered about the issue of examination leakages that has become widespread all over the country. The just concluded Senior School Certificate Examination was a mess as virtually every candidate had seen most of those questions before the commencement of the examinations, and I must say that this is a shame to our beloved country. We are now in an age where diligence is no longer celebrated and cutting corners is now the order of the day.
As a grade 12 student, I see no values in the examinations that I write because the examinations have consistently failed to show any significant difference between the studious and the academically indolent. I am using this medium to appeal to you to charge those in the education sector to put a quick stop to this academic menace.
Parents should inculcate the spirit of hardwork and integrity into their children and let them realize that only a success that is worked for lasts perpetually. To my fellow grade 12 pupils, the only way to good success in academics is adequate study. Do not engage in malpractices, it is dangerous.
