Explanation:
The author's knowledge of presenting in front of Congress may have caused him/her to use contradictory and rhetorical terms to help get their point across about space exploration, and to help persuade the members of congress to approve of space exploration.
If the author were writing to convince school children to support his position, he could use pictures or made-up scenarios that could be applicable to the children; therefore, making them want to learn more about space exploration and support the cause.
Here are some of the points i would personally include in an argument aimed at convincing a third-grade class to support space exploration:
Using pictures.Using historical facts.Using made-up scenarios or stories that apply to children.Talk about careers in the space field. The author may have used paradoxical and rhetorical language to help make their point about space exploration.
What is essay? The definition of an essay is ambiguous and overlaps with that of a letter, a paper, and article, a pamphlet, as well as a short fiction. Generally speaking, an essay is a piece of writing that presents the author's own argument. Essays have been divided into formal and informal categories.
The author may have used paradoxical and rhetorical language to help make their point about space exploration and to persuade the congress members to support it since they were familiar with speaking in front of Congress. if author were attempting to persuade schoolchildren to agree with him, he could do it by using illustrations or hypothetical situations that they could relate to. This would pique their interest in space travel and encourage them to support the cause. The extra points that an argument should have are:
Using visuals.
utilizing historical data.
using hypothetical situations or tales that pertain to kids.
Discuss vocations in the field
Therefore, the author may have used paradoxical and rhetorical language to help make their point about space exploration.

Explanation:
Mary is an eighth grader and, until recently, pretty popular at school. Lately, she started finding notes in her locker and in her backpack that were really upsetting. The notes were unsigned and mean. They said things like: “ We don’t like how you’re treading on our territory.” “” And even, “ You better watch out because we’re watching you…”
Mary had no idea who might be sending the notes but she had an idea why. In the last few months she had started accepting invitations to high school parties. She also has been talking with a couple of sophomore guys. She had a feeling that the notes were from some of the high school girls. She knew how gossip got around and how mean other people said the sophomore girls were.
What was she supposed to do? Almost every day this week she received a note. She felt angry, scared, and hurt. She showed the notes to two of her friends. One of them said that whoever is sending them was probably just jealous and she should just ignore them. The other friend said she should show them to a teacher.
Mary felt like there was no good choice. If she tried to ignore the notes she was afraid they would just continue, and she was not only scared, she was mad. She wanted them to stop. But if she turned in the notes, she was sure the whole school would find out and she would probably have to name names as to who she thought was sending them. If the gossip was bad now, wouldn’t’ it be worse then?
What should Mary do?

The Rose That Grew From Concrete
Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk without having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.
Answer:here you go
Explanation:his poem is a synopsis of Tupac Shakur’s life in a few powerful and meaningful lines. Tupac grew up in a poor family in a neighborhood where not many people ended up being successful as he was. No one had much hope or belief in him and no one thought that he could be successful due to the fact that he came from a poor background and an environment that would hold people back from reaching their dreams.
Tupac begins by asking, “Did u hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete”, by asking this it shows that “roses do not grow from concrete” very often and it is something special when it does. Tupac is comparing himself to the rose and the concrete to his environment that held him back. He is trying to say that it is very hard to live and survive in such a hard environment and still make something of yourself. On the second line he writes, “Proving nature’s laws wrong” (Shakur 3). When Shakur says, “Nature’s laws” he means the idea or thought that most people in a ghetto or bad area do not succeed to the best of one’s ability which naturally comes to mind when thinking of these types of areas. Tupac is saying that he proved this concept wrong and became successful. In the same line he writes, “it learned 2 walk without having feet” (Shakur 3). Tupac is saying that he proved “nature’s law” wrong by becoming successful and he did it on his own with no help or “without having feet”. Tupac’s success was made from his own hard work and dedication, because he lived in such a bad area he did not have much support or feet below him to help him get through difficult situations and make it to the top. He also writes, “Funny it seems but by keeping its dreams it learned 2 breathe fresh air” (Shakur 3) He means that because he kept his dreams and was dedicated to his goal of being a rapper he was able to “breath fresh air”. Tupac is saying that because he kept his dreams he was able to get out of the ghetto and experience a better and more successful life. In the last line he writes, “Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared!” (Shakur 3) Tupac is saying that no one really cared about his dreams and goals and no one supported him but he supported himself and believed in himself which is why he writes the last line.
This whole poem is filled with figurative language. The rose is a metaphor for Tupac and the concrete is a metaphor for the ghetto or neighborhood he grew up in. Tupac also includes personification in his poem. When he writes, “Proving nature’s laws wrong it learned 2 walk without having feet Funny it seems but by keeping its dreams it learned 2 breathe fresh air” This is personification because a rose cannot walk, keep dreams or breathe. This poem holds a very large significance in the memoir. The poem’s title is the same as the memoir. The poem is a very short biography of Tupac’s life. This poem is a summary of Tupac Skakur’s life and his road to success.

Read the passage below from “The Unseen Values.”
Yet today the products of fission applied to peaceful uses are many. The use of isotopes in industry, medicine, agriculture are well known. Food irradiation, nuclear power reactors, now reactors for shipboard use, are with us, and it is hardly the beginning. I frequently ask myself, of late, what 10 years from now will be the commercial, shall we call it, applications of our missile and rocket programs.
Based on the passage above, the reader can infer that the speaker believes:
Research in missile and rocket programs could result in discoveries for unrelated uses.
A lack of funding could mean that space programs will not exist in the future.
Rocket programs of the future will be used for agricultural purposes.
Discoveries in rocket technology will increase the nation’s military strength in the future.

Elena woke up having a dream of being a famous celebrity now all she wants to do is to change her facials to a celebrity without having surgery.
She searched up the nearest store, the location showed up a wizard store, she drove her car in a hurry, once she got there she saw a sign "no turning back," she didn’t know what it meant but still walked in with joy, she then saw so many potions stacked up.
She asks Casper the owner of the shop to get her a shapeshifting potion but didn’t mention human potion so he thought she meant animal.
She took a slight sip of it, as he tried to warn her that the animal spell lasts
forever unless a wizard changes her back. it was too late because she already took her first sip, she transforms into a snake.
“What did you do, hissed Elena, what’s happening to me??”
“I warned you didn’t I?" said Casper.
Elena hissed her way out of the shop to Bonnie's house, then she went on the search for a wizard to change her back. She thought to herself,
"Maybe the wizard can actually change my face so I can be an actor too!"
After days and days of searching, she found the wizard tower. She made her way to the tower and then she hissed and he tried to understand but he couldn't. So, he decided to get a snake translator. He worked on her for days and finally got her to look like a human again. She asked for him to change her features too. Later that month she starred in a movie called, "The girl who turned into a snake." In the end, there was an interview and she thanked that wizard that helped her make her dreams come true.

Read the following excerpt from the article about Boyan Slat, then answer the question below.
The use of plastic has contributed to advancements in countless industries and fields of study over the past century. From science and medicine to household chores, plastic has been an integral part of new discoveries and processes. Although environmental concerns have created a reduction in the amount of plastic purchased and used by consumers, there is still a large amount of plastic trash polluting the Earth’s land and water. There are currently five giant trash gyres, or whirlpools collecting floating trash, in our oceans. The North Pacific gyre covers nearly 5 million square miles of ocean with an estimated 11 million tons of plastic waste.
Which information from the excerpt above would you include in an infographic? Explain why. Your answer should be 2 to 3 sentences
Answer:
Explanation:
The information provided in the excerpt that I could include in an infographic would be the parts about how enviormental concerns have created a reduction in the amount of plastic purchased, how cutting back on plastic still leaves a large amount in the ocean, and how there is 5 million square miles with 11 million tons of plastic waste in the North Pacific gyre. These pieces of information should be included in an infographic because it tells people that more can and should be done to help our enviorment. Additonally, this also shows how human actions have scarily effected the enviorment in ways that are going to take a lot of work and improvements to be undone.

The canadians tried desperately to have world leaders unite one more time, as seen in a quotation by their prime minister, “knowing the potential and significant impact of countries refusing to negotiate at this point, I would plead with world leaders to make concessions and seek peaceful resolution.” The President hamer, while ostensibly in agreement, made only superficial efforts to realize this eleventh hour maneuver. otherwise, there was little interest, as explained by the lieutenant Governor Steeves of Australia, “many have tried to initiate productive conversations between the competing global forces, without success.
