which nitrogenus based is found in Rna but is not found in Dna

Answers

Answer:

Uracil

Explanation:

Answer:

Uracil (U)

Explanation:

The nitrogenous bases in DNA are:

- Adenine

- Thymine

- Guanine

- Cytosine

The nitrogenous bases in RNA are:

- Adenine

- Thymine

- Guanine

- Uracil

When we compare the two lists, we see that both DNA and RNA have Adenine, Thymine, and Guanine. However, we can also notice that only RNA has Uracil. Plus, only DNA contains Cytosine.

Therefore, the nitrogenous base found in RNA, but not DNA is uracil.

Sam saw something terrifying. His muscles tensed, he began breathing more rapidly, and he began to sweat. Having taken introductory psychology, Sam knew that the ________________ division of his __________ nervous system had been activated. 0 points sympathetic; limbic parasympathetic, autonomic somatic, peripheral central, sympathetic

Answers

Answer:

sympathetic and autonomic

Explanation:

Hello there! :D

Firstly, I want to say that some of the written out answers look incomplete. I am going to try my best to answer this question and give you context so that you can choose the best answer choice! :)

There are two main systems within the boundaries our nervous system:

The CNS (central nervous system) and the PNS (peripheral nervous system).

Struturally,

the CNS constistues the brain and spinal chord,

the PNS consistutes your nerves and ganglion.

Functionally, the CNS recieves messages from the PNS and sends messages to the PNS. Think of the CNS as the control center, and the PNS as the reactor.

The PNS has two systems within it, the somatic nervous system, and the autonomic nervous system. The somatic nervous system senses things consciously percieved (ie. eye sight, pain, taste) and the autonomic nervous system senses things unconsciously percieved and controled (ie. stress, anxiety, etc). The point being, you cannot control when it happens or stop the function of it consciously.

The autonomic nervous system holds two main systems, which would be the parasympathetic system and the sympathetic system. The parasympathetic system helps maintain your circadian rythmn, replenish energy, and relax your body. The sympathetic system is known as your "fight or flight" system. This system can be triggered by test anxiety, unsafe situations, and in any case where your life or emotional well being is being threatened.

My best answer for this question, in my opinion, would be the autonomic nervous system, and the sympathetic system. The sympathetic system deals with fear (fight or flight) and is controlled by the autonomic nervous system).

I hope this helps you and you have a wonderful day,

Experiment #1 Question: Does penicillin prevent infection? Hypothesis: If the medicine prevents infection, then the medicine will prevent the growth of bacteria that cause infection. Experiment: Leo placed two circles of paper in a Petri dish (something used for growing bacteria). One circle of paper was soaked in penicillin. The other had nothing on it. He poured a liquid filled with bacteria into the Petri dish. Both circles of paper were placed in the Petri dish about 3cm apart. At the end of the experiment, a circle with a radius of 2cm formed around the circle of paper soaked in penicillin. There were no bacteria growing in the 2cm circle. No change had occurred around the other circle of paper. The bacteria were growing well.

10) Check three activities/characteristics that would help in becoming a successful biologist.
video game expertise
I love of novels
U political motivation
observation
curiosity
epicureanism
o determination

Answers

Answer:

Observation

Curiosity

Determination

Explanation:

A biologist is a scientist that specializes in the study of biology or life generally. However, to become a successful biologist as stated in the question, the three mentioned characteristics needed are:

1. Observation- being an observer is key to becoming any scientist, including a biologist. Observation is the foundation of a scientific method i.e. it begins the process. Hence, a biologist must have good observation skills in order to thrive.

2. Curiosity- Curiosity refers to the ability to want to know what's going on. It's being inquisitive in order to learn new things. Asking questions is equally an important part of a scientific method as it determines the experiment. The question asked is what creates the experiment. Hence, being curious is a good quality for an intending biologist.

3. Determination: Being determined is not a quality only a biologist should possess. Determination is a must for any individual in any field. It is the ability to carry on irrespective of setbacks, which are inevitable.

What is the difference between science and trickery?

Answers

Science is- by definition understanding the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence. Proof is needed, experiments take place etc. Whereas trickery is simply the act of deception, can be for multiple reasons.

However trickery exists in the natural world too in the form of animals using tricks to make themselves look frightening or like another animal. In both cases you cannot believe what you see. The difference would probably be that the tricks science plays can be uncovered by experiments and other observations, but im not sure.

Your question has been heard loud and clear.

Science is basically the logic that explains why things happen and how they occur the way they are , especially with natural phenomena. It is solely used for beneficial purposes so that humans can advance and develop themselves through science.

Trickery is the art mastered by people who just live by using shortcuts and making loopholes out of everything to bypass consequences. It is indeed the complete opposite of science because trickery is not used for improvement like science , but it is used to bring others down while the trickster rises. It is not beneficial for development and advancements. Trickery is however useful to the person using it , and science is useful to the person using it and to the people , but trickery is only beneficial for the person using it , unlike science.

Explanation:

Specific heat is the amount of heat that must be absorbed or lost for 1 gram of that substance to change its temperature by 1 degree. As someone works out, their body releases sweat to keep their body from overheating. Specific heat it mentions that hydrogen bonds between water molecules require heat to form and break, which is what happens when we sweat.

Answer:

Image A

Explanation:

The most likely image that represents the measurement of the scientist would be image A.

Image A indicates the shape that water would form in a tube. Due to the adhesive force between the molecules of water and the wall of the tube, the surface of water usually forms a concave shape in a tube. Hence, the lower meniscus of the water is usually read in a tube which is what image A represents.

What are viruses considered to be non-living?

Answers

Answer:

Viruses are often considered non-living because outside of a living cell, they do not exhibit the characteristics of living organisms: they are basically like crystals. But within a living organism, they become activated and are able to carry out life's activities like replication (a form of reproduction).

Answer:

Viruses are not made up out of cells they cant keep them selves in a stable state they dont grow and they dont make there own energy. So they are considered non-living.

Explanation:

Cells are living things in the body a virus is what the cells are trying to defeat and because there are no cells in viruses the cells in our body is what fights off the virus cause they are alive and processing in our body.
