company increased all inputs by 20 percent and output increased
to 1,500 units per month. Are the returns to scale increasing,
decreasing, or constant for this product? What should happen to
the production cost per unit?

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

Company increases the input by 20%

increase in output in percentage terms

= [(1500 - 1000) / 1000 ] x 100

= 50 %

So percentage increase in output is more than percentage increase in input

hence there is increasing return to scale at this product.

In case of increasing return to scale , cost of production per unit  decreases .

There is increasing efficiency in production .

What was the effect of the Supreme Court decision described in this
headline?

Answers

Answer:

A.

Explanation:

Miranda v. Arizona was the landmark case in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Miranda v. Arizona was the case Ernesto Miranda, was suspected of burglary, kidnap, and ra-pe. He was arrested by the police without prior informing him of his rights to 'remain silent' and hire an attorney as mentioned in the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution. Miranda's statement was recorded by the police with signed paper by him, in which he confessed his crime. But he was not aware of his rights, and was sentenced for 20-30 years of imprisonment.

Later, Miranda appealed to the U. S. Supreme Court, in which Chief Justice Earl Warren ruled that the recorded confession of the suspect can not approved by the government when the suspect was not aware of his/her rights.

Thus the headline of the newspaper actually suggested that the US Supreme Court protected the rights of the suspects according to the law of remaining silent and having an attorney present at the time of interrogation.

Thus correct answer is A.

Racism in the judicial and law systems is something that matters to me. This issue can be addressed through legal measures by changing laws, changing police training, and demanding change from governments, companies, and people in higher power who are able to make the change. This issue should matter to everyone. It should matter to every person even if it doesn't affect them because it is just wrong and disgusting. People of color lose their lives at the hands of police because of an unjust system and people should consider why this is happening. I would want my law to distinctly change the behavior from people and cops towards people of color. Anything that needs to happen and be addressed for it to be changed should be taken in to account. Having laws and different  training against racial discrimination in our system would most likely decrease hate crimes commit by police towards any person of color. If people were trained against it and it was illegal to do so, maybe people would realize that they need to stop. This law would decrease unnecessary deaths, attacks, and criminalization of POC. People should support this because it is wrong. There are wrongful deaths, arrests,  and hate crimes happening towards innocent people because of race. This system is corrupted and needs to be changed to be just and fair. It would be funded by donations and lowering the funds towards the government, police, etc.

The Middle East, Afghanistan and Taliban regime and World War I

Explanation:

During the World War I, promises were made to restore pleasant democratic practices and to ensure the rule of law take it course, apparently all these were short-lived when these promises were not effectively delivered. George W. Bush also held out promises during and after the war in Iraq which was to oust the sitting regime of Saddam Hussein so as to restore democracy and make it safe for the citizens. This later turned out to be the same disappointment and anti-democratic conclusions that were followed by Woodrow Wilson in the First World War and the Middle East was engaged in endless cycles of bloodshed after the war. A third example is that of the Taliban Regime in Afghanistan that ended in the same fate and it turned out that most times, promises that were made were likely not being prepared to be fulfilled by those who made them.

Answers

Answer:

The impact of the deregulation of broadcast journalism by the 1996 Telecommunications Act has been to increase consolidation of ownership.

Explanation:

The Telecommunications Act of 1996, passed during the Bill Clinton administration, was a law that largely deregulated the telecommunications market at the national level, allowing the creation of media and information monopolies, by enabling companies to owning up to 45% of the market audience and allowing them to own different services, such as radio, television or even the internet, which was previously prohibited. In short, this law allowed the creation or consolidation of much more comprehensive information monopolies, such as Fox or CNN.

Which statement explains whether there is a relationship between the height of the tree and the amount of fruit produced. Although fertilizer is in both data sets and is positively correlated, only a weak correlation can exist between tree height and fruit yield. Although fertilizer is in both data sets and is positively correlated, it is impossible for any correlation to exist between tree height and fruit yield. Since fertilizer is in both data sets and is positively correlated to both tree height and fruit yield, it is likely that tree height and fruit yield are negatively correlated. Since fertilizer is in both data sets and is positively correlated to both tree height and fruit yield, it is like that tree height and fruit yield are also positively correlated.
