PLEASE HELP NEED HELP NOW WILL MARK BRAINLIEST!!!!Our Family Pet
Our family pet is an adorable kitten. This might not seem 1unusual. My mother hates cats. Perhaps hate is 2 to strong a word. She definitely fears them. She can’t help it. I guess 3 one could say this fear is inherited. Her mother, her three aunts, and her grandmother all share this phobia. Nonetheless, the kitten is a beloved member of our family now. 4 Here’s the story:
5 One summer morning in August, Mom and Aunt Fran went to the school track to walk. Off in the distance they heard a noise that sounded like a baby screaming. It was coming from a dumpster near the cafeteria. Alarmed, they moved closer to investigate. The wailing grew louder. Aunt Fran gasped when she saw the tiny head of a kitten trapped in a small opening in the bottom of the dumpster. 6 It’s body could not make it through the hole. Hopelessly trapped, 7 we saw that the creature continued to shriek. The women looked around for a mother 8 cat. None in sight.
They realized that the summer heat would be unbearable by midday. Quelling their fears, they rattled off options: call for someone to come help; push the kitten’s head back into the dumpster; 9pulling the rest of its body out of the opening; leave and hope someone who is not afraid finds the kitten in time; ignore the screeching and get walking.
10 Mom picked up a discarded jacket and covered the kitten’s head. She pulled gently, then firmly, but that kitten’s body was not coming out. So now it was Aunt Fran’s turn. After several attempts she pushed the kitten’s head back into the dumpster. Maternal instincts kicked in and my mother climbed into the dumpster. 11 Cautiously, she picked up the kitten.
Aunt Fran 13 said we oughtta name her D.D. for dumpster diver, but we were set on Lily. After our trip with the kitty to the vet, we learned that Lily is a boy! Of course we plan to change his name. We haven’t convinced Mom that we need a friend for the kitty, but I am optimistic. I like the name Frank, but my sister is pushing for Harold. Whatever name we choose, I am glad that mom and Aunt Fran were able to face their fears.
What traditional theme is conveyed through this story?

Saving the kitten also made the daughter happy that (1) they could have a pet cat and (2) their aunt and mother could overcome their fears of cats in order to save it. This is reinforced by the last sentence "...I am glad that mom and Aunt Fran were able to face their fears."

Which sentence could effectively be placed in a summary of Chapter 4 of Wheels of Change because it expresses a key idea objectively? In the 1880s and 1890s, female bicycle racers faced a variety of opponents, including males, horses, and an occasional dog. Some women foolishly pushed themselves to unbelievable lengths, sustaining a multitude of injuries just to be victorious. Women preferred racing on the East Coast and in the Midwest because these areas were filled with kind people who supported them. Had I been alive at the time, I would have supported women for their courageous and competitive efforts in bicycle racing.

From the twenty-fifth century BCE, pharaohs' tombs were located inside grand pyramids. The pyramids served as giant grave markers; however, they also served as treasure markers for grave robbers. These wicked people would strip the tomb bare of valuables. Then they would sell the stolen items for a large amount of money. Stealing from the dead was bad enough, but for the ancient egyptians, the act also threatened the pharaoh's afterlife.
The answer is ( B grave robbers were unconcerned about the pharaoh's afterlife), tell me why B is correct?
Answer:
As ancient Egyptian rulers, pharaohs were both the heads of state and the religious leaders of their people. The word “pharaoh” means “Great House,” a reference to the palace where the pharaoh resides. While early Egyptian rulers were called “kings,” over time, the name “pharaoh” stuck.
Explanation:
Answer: B
Explanation: "They went to great lengths to ensure that their tombs were prepared for the afterlife by placing valuables inside." Makes perfect sense. The text shows the evidence for it, since the text mainly talks about valuables inside, and the afterlife. Im also pretty sure that it would take great lengths to get these valuables.

No one knows for sure what causes the Catatumbo Lightning. Some scientists think it's caused by increased amounts of methane gas around the area. Others believe the lightning occurs because of the area's unique location—the very hot, humid air from the Catatumbo River and Lake Maracaibo meets cool air that comes down from the Andes mountains. 9 The mystery of what causes the lightning deepened when, beginning in January 2010, the lightning did not appear for a period of several months. During this time Venezuela, like many other parts of the world, was experiencing abnormal weather patterns, and the country was suffering from a severe drought. Some scientists speculate that this may have caused the Catatumbo Lightning to stop, but the answer remains unclear. Whatever the cause, the lightning resumed that April. main idea
