Read this passage:

I accept this award today with an abiding faith in America
and an audacious faith in the future of mankind. I refuse to
accept despair as the final response to the ambiguities of
history. I refuse to accept the idea that the 'isness of
man's present nature makes him morally incapable of
reaching up for the eternal 'oughtness that forever
confronts him. I refuse to accept the idea that man is mere
flotsam and jetsam the river of life, unable to influence
the unfolding events which surround him. I refuse to
accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the
starless midnight of racism and war that the bright
daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a
reality
-Martin Luther King Jr., Nobel Prize acceptance speech,
1964

why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer:
not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved
Rome more. Had you rather Caesar were living, and

As he was fortunate, I rejoice at it. As he was
valiant, I honour him. But as he was ambitious, I
slew him.

why did daisy try to get tom calmed down in chapter 7?

Answers

Answer:

During the encounter between Tom and Gatsby at the Plaza hotel, Daisy crumbles rapidly, backpedaling on her assertions of loving Gatsby and never having loved Tom. She says to Gatsby

"Oh, you want too much! I can't say I never loved Tom. It wouldn't be true"

Tom quickly capitalized on Daisy's wavering loyalties to reassert his control over her. He tells Gatsby that "there's things between me and Daisy that you'll never know, things neither of us will ever forget." He also goes aggressively after Gatsby's shady past and the insecure foundation his wealth is built on, knowing full well how much money matters to his wife.  Daisy most likely realizes that she is a fantasy figure to Gatsby, a representative of his desire for lost youth, wealth, and security and that his needs are insatiable and unrealistic. Her relationship with Tom may be troubled, but, as he reminds her, it's real and rooted in a shared past.

Dan is searching for jobs that would let him work with animals. He finds an online resource, created by several animal healthcare professionals, about available jobs. Which resource is Dan using?

Answers

Answer:

C. A veterinary technicians' job board.

Explanation:

Dan's desire to work with animals will ensure that the field of work will be that of a veterinarian line. Also, using a resource created by several professionals from that field suggests the resource is not a school's webpage or social media profile.

Considering Dan found the site about "available jobs" created by "several animal healthcare professionals", we can safely assume that the resource is a veterinary technician's job board. This site will contain or list all the jobs available, giving Dan access to the available jobs.

Thus, the correct answer is option C.

The correct answer is A. A few well-selected words.

Explanation

In the image two objects are shown, the first is an American Suffrage Banner that says "We demand an amendment to the United States Constitution enfranchising women"; the second item is a British Suffragette penny with "Votes for Women" written on it. These two objects stand out for their small size and their reach to all sectors of society, which is why they were selected to convey this message. However, this message would not be effectively shared if the correct words were not chosen, so the advertiser chose a few correct and effective words to deliver the desired message to require rights for women. Answer:

The set of words that works best to establish the story's conflict in the given passage is "already, still, after, again".In the passage, it is mentioned that by the time the wolf reaches her, she has already eaten the other children. But the children are still in her, as she knew they would be, and after some reassurance that she's a safe vessel, they start to come out again. This implies that the protagonist has already eaten the other children and now the children are still in her which creates a conflict in the story as it raises the question of how to get the children out of her.The words "already, still, after, again" highlight this conflict of the story and, therefore, work best to establish it.

The response is - Cheerleading causes more brain and spinal injuries per year than all other sports put together.

What is Cheerleading?

Cheerleading is an activity in which players, sometimes known as cheerleaders, assist their team by cheering for them. It might be anything from vigorous physical exertion to sloganeering. It can be done for competition, audience entertainment, or to inspire sports teams. Cheerleading routines often last one to three minutes and include stunts, tumbling, dancing, leaps, and cheers.

American football and basketball are extremely closely related to contemporary cheerleading. Cheerleading teams are occasionally sponsored by sports including association football (soccer), ice hockey, volleyball, baseball, and wrestling. Cheerleaders were introduced to international cricket competitions for the first time at the 2007 ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup in South Africa. The first Major League Baseball team to establish a cheering squad was the Florida Marlins.

When ideally should parents first communicate their expectations?
Expectations don't need to be communicated; they should be apparent.
At the time of the behavior
After the consequence
O Before the behavior starts or the child is in the situation

Answers

The correct answer is D. Before the behavior starts or the child in the situation.

Explanation

Communication between parents and children is important for raising them. In general, parents transmit customs, traditions, language, and other aspects to their children. One of the most important topics is behavior because parents must communicate to children the behavior that they expect from them in different situations to prevent misbehaving. This implies parents should be clear with their expectations before misbehavior happens, for example, parents should explain to kids how to behave at a supermarket. According to the above, the correct answer is D. Before the behavior starts or the child in the situation.
