The term "valuable property" refers to items such as jewelry, objects made of gold, silver, or other precious metals, objects made of crystal or other precious stones, watches, binoculars, photography gear, works of art, porcelain, curios, furs, and musical instruments.
The value of a piece of property, including the value of the land and any improvements made to it, is known as its land value. It is not to be confused with site value, which is the fair market worth of the land in the absence of liens, mortgages, rentals, or other factors that might otherwise alter the property's value demonstrates .

Write an essay that argues whether or not the U.S. should allow fracking
Answer:
Fracking is and how it works, and looking at this will also allow us to be able to assess the most pressing environmental concerns and the controversies surrounding fracking.
fracking is the process of drilling down into the earth before a high-pressure water mixture is directed at the rock to release the gas inside. Water, sand and chemicals are injected into the rock at high pressure which allows the gas to flow out to the head of the well. The process can be carried out vertically or, more commonly, by drilling horizontally to the rock layer and can create new pathways to release gas or can be used to extend existing channels. The term fracking refers to how the rock is fractured apart by the high-pressure mixture.[1] In the UK, drilling is only at an exploratory phase, however, there are plans for this to intensify as shale gas reserves have been identified across the UK.
Impacts and Concerns
Having looked at what Fracking is, we will identify it’s impacts on the environment and its most pressing concerns.
The extraction of shale gas is a topic that is highly controversial in the United Kingdom, this is mainly because of the environmental concerns it raises. One of the major concerns is the water usage in the extraction, the volume of water that is needed. Vast amounts of water are required for the process and this must be transported to the fracking sites[2]. The water tends to be transported to the sites, which has its own environmental impacts, though some sites could use the local water resources and the volume of water that is required could place a strain on local water resources. In addition to the amounts of water, the water is mixed with chemicals, this mixture could escape and could spill or contaminate groundwater in the surrounding areas.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Fracking
The main advantages of fracking include, an increase in the production of natural gas, some could argue that this would ease the burden on finite resources such as fossil fuels, fracking would thus diversify our energy supplies. A further advantage is that this is a relatively clean energy source, providing environmental benefit. The gas produced emits less carbon per calorie of energy produced than other fossil fuels. It is easy to inject and it can be transported directly, shale gas requires very little infrastructure investment before it can be injected into the national gas grid, thus proving to be an economical benefit. Fracking is also the most natural way to pump gas from the ground. An abundant supply of natural gas makes prices relatively cheap to producers and consumers.
The disadvantages of fracking include, Risk of groundwater pollution, Risk of localised earthquakes (probably not a huge risk when well-regulated in the UK), Localised noise and traffic congestion, Loss of amenities, when fracking wells are sited in areas of natural beauty and national parks, A high water demand for the “process water” needed by the fracking technology used, potentially entailing additional stress on water supplies, Planning blight on local properties, and suffering by those unfortunate enough to live near a proposed site for a fracking well.

Read the excerpt from act 2, scene 2, of The Tragedy of Julius Caesar and the background information on the allusion it contains.
Excerpt:
[DECIUS.] It was a vision fair and fortunate.
Your statue spouting blood in many pipes,
In which so many smiling Romans bathed,
Signifies that from you great Rome shall suck
Reviving blood, and that great men shall press
For tinctures, stains, relics, and cognizance.
This by Calpurnia's dream is signified.
Background information:
In medieval times, it was customary to dip handkerchiefs into the blood of martyrs and other great people. Doing so turned the handkerchiefs into relics for worship or inspiration.
Why does Decius suggest that "smiling Romans” dipping in the spouts of blood is a good thing?
to flatter Caesar and make sure he will go to the Capitol
to imply that Calpurnia wishes to harm Caesar
to warn Caesar of the plot against him
to explain that Calpurnia is ill and going to die
Answer:
A. to flatter Caesar and make sure he will go to the Capitol
(Photo for proof at the bottom.)
Explanation:
Decius is one of the conspirators who plans to kill Caesar. In order to do so, Caesar must be at the Capitol, where the rest of the conspirators will be. Caesar says he will not go to the Capitol, because of Calpurnia's dream that signifies a bad omen. Her dream was that she saw Caesar's statue run with blood like a fountain, while many smiling Romans bathed their hands in the blood. But Decius flatters Caesar to go to the Capitol anyway by making the dream seem positive. The background information says it was customary to dip handkerchiefs into the blood of great people. Decius uses this to flatter Caesar to go to the Capitol.

What reasons does Jason Reynolds give to show that poetry can change someone's opinion about reading?
Answer:
1. The amount of words in poetry is less compared to prose and other literary pieces.
2. The rhythm produced from one line to another adds a natural flow to poetry.
3. The small chunks of words at a time helps to make the reading less threatening.
4. The white space left on the pages makes the reading breathable and less choking.
Explanation:
Jason Reynolds, an author explains that the reason why many young people are not being helped to overcome their fear of books is that the teachers and instructors still bombard them with voluminous books, thus adding to their fear. He compared it to a person scared of dogs still being confronted with a Pit Bull or other intimidating dogs.
To solve the problem, Reynolds explained that the less volume of words contained in Poetry can help instill a love for reading in the students. They can enjoy the rhythm created as they move from lines and stanzas. The small chunks of words also makes reading less intimidating.

I have found this question online. We are supposed to fill in the blanks with either the simple past tense or the past progressive tense.
Answer:
Last year I provided first aid for the first time when I was in Reading to visit a friend of mine. We were sitting in John's garden when we suddenly heard a squeal of tires and a bang. Then there was a lot of shouts and cries. I immediately knew what was going on. I rushed through the garden gate, and when I reached the car I saw two injured persons: The driver was sitting behind the steering wheel, and blood was running from a wound to his head; his wife was lying on the ground beside the open left-hand door. Some neighbors or passers-by helped her, so I opened the other door and carefully dragged him out of the car and put him in a side position. I was talking to him and trying to stop the blood with a paper hanky when the ambulance arrived.
Explanation:
The past progressive tense is used to emphasize an action that lasted for some time in the past. It uses the verb "to be" in its past form (was/were) and a main verb with -ing. The example below helps illustrate it:
- I was cooking lunch when my mother arrived.
The simple past tense is used to express action that happened at a specific time in the past. It is commonly used with expressions of time, such as "yesterday", "last year", "two days ago", etc.
Verbs in the simple past can be regular or irregular. To regular verbs, we simply add -d, -ed, or -ied to form the past. For example: work - worked; arrive - arrived; dance - danced; study - studied.
When it comes to irregular verbs, we must memorize the past form of each. For example: do - did; eat - ate; make - made; swim - swam; speak - spoke.
The sentence below is in the simple past:
- I tried to help the man, but he said he was alright.

As I washed the unfinished food down the drain and
collected the paper plates to throw out, I considered my
ancestors. What would they think of this excess and
waste? They would have spent days on a hunt to take
down a single bison and then painstakingly find a use for
every single part. Was our heritage picnic becoming a
dishonor to their legacy?
Not even the bison "chips," or dung, went to waste. While
the men hunted the great beasts, women and children
collected the droppings. Once the dung had thoroughly
dried in the sun, it served as fuel for cooking fires.
