The correct answer is C. Social media showed the rest of the world what was happening in Egypt during the revolution.

Explanation

The article describes the relationship of social media with the Egyptian revolution, exposing the position of two groups on this issue; On the one hand, a group of people argues that social media played a decisive role in this revolution and that they were the main cause for people to revolutionize. On the other hand, another group argues that social media were not the cause of the revolutionary uprisings, they say that social media were only a tool that contributed to it because over time people had risen without the use of social media. in passive voice?

Answers

Answer:

The wine should be opened by you about three hours before you use it.

Explanation:

First, identify the direct subject of this sentence, which is you. Remember to always change things in the independent clause. Then place the indirect object of the sentence at the beginning, which is wine in this case. Switch things around until they make the same meaning (except wordier), and voila - you are done.

Note: most of the time, passive voice is wordy, unclear, and hard to read, so stick with active voice for other writing.

Which assumption can be made based on details in the text? Answer choices for the above question Manuel is an excellent student. Mr. Ramos is engaged in Manuel’s schoolwork. Manuel is unhappy with Mr. Ramos’s opinions. Mr. Ramos is a literature professor.

Answers

Answer: Mr. Ramos is engaged in Manuel’s schoolwork.

Explanation:

This is based on the passage, ''Winter Break'' about a man named Mr. Ramos who goes to pick his son, Manuel, on the last day before winter break.

They have a conversation about what Manuel will be doing in the holidays and about a book he is to read in the coming semester which was to be replaced because it had harmful stereotypes and offensive language.

From the passage we see how interested Mr. Ramos is in the academic work of Manuel as he offers to read with him, checks school emails and offers to contact the principal to ensure his son learns the valuable lessons in a novel.

What are some other ways other than quotes, to state your evidence in an essay? In a few days, I will be taking a state exam that will require me to write either an informative or argumentative essay. Please take note, that I am in the 8th Grade.

Answers

answer: you can say “the author states” or “paragraph ... says that”
solution: lmk if that helps

Answer:

Well usually, arguments are supported by quotes as evidence. However, what you can do is, depending on what the topic is, (and depending on whether they let you or not) you can use your own experiences as well. If you use a quote, you can add on with the personal experience, or simply use common sense or simple scientifically-proven facts that most of the human race knows.

But yes, don't fill your whole essay with quotes. My teachers used to take out points for that, because all that would be doing is just restating what was already said.

BUT REMEMBER:

Informative and Argumentative are almost complete opposites.

- Informative essays are just to educate the reader without bias; you only state the facts, no opinions. Personal experiences in this category are not recommended; by doing this, it may show signs of bias.

- Argumentative essays on the other hand, are to try and persuade the reader to agree with you on a certain topic. Here, you state your opinions, and support them using the facts. Personal experiences in this category are somewhat recommended. Like previously stated, you can use personal experiences as evidence to support your claim. HOWEVER, there is a fine line between what can make, or break your essay.

You can watch the video, "Argument Essay: Using Personal Experiences" to better explain how and when to use personal experiences.
