Birthday Cards for our Los Al Elderly
Living in a nursing home can sometimes feel lonely and isolating. Not all of the elderly in our community have families caring for them or visiting, and this can lead to people feeling forgotten. You are invited to write a kind birthday message to an elderly person in Los Alamitos who may be in need of a little birthday love.
Try starting your message with “Dear Friend.” Even if you don't know your reader by name, starting with “Dear Friend” will make them feel special and cared for.
Introduce yourself and tell them a bit about you (name, age, where you go to school, city you live in).
Wish them happy birthday and say things like "wishing you a day filled with love and sunshine." Or you could write them a simple birthday poem.
Share more information about you (what you like to do, what you want to be when you grow up, hobbies, sports, pets, favorite subjects in school, etc).
Wish them well and let them know you care about them. Then sign off by saying "Your friend" followed by your first and last name, McAuliffe, and your age.
Type your message below. ASB will put your words into a fun birthday card and deliver it to a senior citizen at a local nursing home. You may also handwrite your letter and submit it to our basket in the Main Office. Thank you so much for participating and making someone's day! :)
I'm trying to broaden up my vocabulary and try to make my vocabulary sound more professional. What steps should I take to achieve this? Please help me.
hey!
You could always try to use a dictionary and find 'bigger' or more complicated words that have the same meaning. The only way to learn new words and how to use them is to study. You can read or even find a book that has the voice so you can listen but still look at the words to know how they are spelt. I know studying sucks but that's really the only way to learn the words and broaden up your vocabulary.
I hope this helped you in some way.
Have a good day/night !
Question: teachers assign too much homework?
write an argumentative essay (Write at least 6 sentences please)
An argumentative essay is a writer who attempts to persuade readers to understand and support their point of view about a topic by stating their reasoning and providing evidence to back it up.
Answer:
Ever finished school and wanted to just lay down and take a nap or play video games but instead have tons of homework to do? Well that's one reason why I think teachers give to much homework.
My first reason is, that after sitting around all day in school kids need a break to play with there friends, take nap, play video games, or do what ever else that want. They need this to be successful and to continue wanting to learn.
Also, It creates a lot of stress for kids and sometimes there parents because some times yo can't figure out what the answer to one problem and neither can your parents. This puts a lot of stress on kids and sometimes they don't do the whole thing or leave the answer blank affecting their grades.
Finally, sometimes kids have other commitments after school like sports or appointments and can't do their homework. Some times teachers can't accept that or you can't do your homework at all.
That is why in my opinion teachers give kids to much homework.
Sorry for my bad grammar ;-;

Describe how you’d feel if all your freedoms were suddenly stripped away. What would you miss most? How would you act?
Answer:
i would feel depressed because i cant travel anymore and go out on vacation and see family. i would manly miss seeing my family. i would act like whats the point in living if i cant do anything
Explanation:
Answer:
If all my freedoms were taken away I would feel angry, sad, and frustrated. I would feel that way because if you have lived in freedom and then to suddenly have it taken away would be life changing and a big slap in the face. I would miss being able to see my friends and family or if we are talking about the amendments being taken away I would miss being able to have the right to say how I feel about something and share my opinion with the world. I would probably calmly try to reason with the proper authorities and try to explain to them why it's not right what they did and to please change it back to the way it was.

Answer:
I followed the footprints in the sand hoping it would dirstract the pain in my head. The footprints seemed small, too small. Reminding me of of Emma, my 8 year old daughter who is now lost in this selfish big world. The footprints went on for a while. A little part of me hoping they were Emma's. The footprints stoped and as i glanced up, of coarse it wasn't Emmas but instead this little boy sitting by himself reading a book.
I was shocked to see this little 5-6 year old reading a thick chapter book. As i walked toward him he paid little to no attention in me, just glaring into the thick book. Thats about when I saw a tear drop from his eye. I went up sat next to him as he quickly started to wipe his face.
" Are you ok?" I asked without hesitaion. He looked up and said, "Yeah, im fine. Just missing my parents." He then closed his book and stared blankly in the sand.
"You see, my parents droped me off at school but when I came back they were just not home" he said trying to hold back tears. " They never came back?" I asked, hoping he would respond. He didn't.
"I know how it feels to loose something that you love the most." I said staring into the ocean.
"You really don't though." he said making an unreadable expression.
"I lost my daughter a month ago." I blurted
"Oh, i'm sorry. I shoudn't have been rude...I didn't..." he started to trail off.
"It fine." i interupted. Then nobody talked for a while.
We both stated fidiling with the sand, making castles, forts, burying eachother. It was the most fun I ever had this month. The boy seemed calm and collective. I envied him.
"So lady, whats your name?" the boy asked enthusistically
" You can call me Rose, short for Rosalie." I infomed
" Neat! You can call me Ben!" he said.
I forgot that this same boy that was crying earlier was this happy little boy.
"Who do you live with now?" I asked knowig it might have been a sensitive subject.
"My aunt, she doesn't want to help me find my parents" he said while building a sand castle. "but I want to help you find your daughter..."
"Emma" I responded
"Ah Emma, if you will help me find my parent?" he looked up to see my response
A tear ruled down my eye. "S-sure" I said smiling and wiping my tear.
Lets begin the journey.

( I dotn stand for it and you dont have to either "As far back as 1943, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that requiring all public school students to recite the pledge of allegiance was a violation of their First Amendment rights, because free speech includes the right not to speak against your beliefs (West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943)). And as the Court made clear more than 20 years later, public schools must also respect students right to express their opinions through actions (known as “symbolic speech”), as long as they aren’t being too disruptive."
