Theme is the ___________________________ of a story.
A)subject and topic
B)main idea
C)universal idea, lesson, or message
D)conflict
Answer:
The answer is c.
Explanation:
The theme of a story is what the author is trying to convey — in other words, the central idea of the story. Short stories often have just one theme, whereas novels usually have multiple themes. The theme of a story is woven all the way through the story, and the characters' actions, interactions, and motivations all reflect the story's theme. But don't confuse theme with the story's plot or moral. The plot is simply what happens in the story and the order of the story's events, and the moral is the lesson that the writer wants the main character (and by extension, you) to learn from the story. Each of these serves the overall theme of the story. That is, the events of the story illustrate the theme, and the lesson that you learn relates directly to the theme.
So when you're trying to recognize the theme of a story, ask yourself what the author is trying to convey through the characters and events of the story. For instance, in The Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caulfield's actions are motivated by his not wanting to grow up, so one of the main themes of this novel is the preservation of innocence.

In the movie Toy Story, a group of toys come to life. In a TV commercial, a car races down the highway. The car is going so fast that it flies into the air. Suddenly, the car has stripes and claws. It has turned into a tiger! How do all these things happen? The answer is in the fascinating world of computer animation.
Animation has been around for a long time. You may remember Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny. These cartoon characters were created in a procedure called cel animation.
Cel-animation cartoons are drawn on clear sheets of plastic. To make them move, the artist draws a series of pictures. The artist makes each picture slightly different from the one before. Then, the artist shows the pictures at an accelerated pace. This process makes the cartoons seem to move. To make longer films, like Bambi or Snow White, artists need to draw thousands of cels. It is very tedious work.
A newer technique uses computers to make cartoons seem alive. It is different from cel animation in many ways. One of the most significant changes is very simple. If you look closely, you’ll notice that cel animation cartoons look flat. You can see them move but they don’t look real. The images are two-dimensional---they have height and width, but they have no depth.
Computers enable animators to create lifelike, three-dimensional, or 3-D, images. First , the animator or artist records the shape of an object, animal, or person from all sides. Once recorded in the computer, the 3-D image can be rotated, moved, and twisted. The artist can add and change details. The image is transformed into a cartoon character with its own personality and flair. Cartoon artists have discovered a sensational new tool. Cartooning will never be the same.

Who else wants to be a kid?
I wish we got to take naps like back in preschool and pre-k!!!!!!!!!! And i wish we had a short day like them. Lets face it, little kids are livin the dreams
Answer:With distance learning I nap when ever I want
Explanation:
I also wish I were a kid. They don't have as many responsibilities, and they're free to do nearly whatever they want. High school brings along a lot of stress and a heavy workload; it's really frustrating. As a kid, you don't have to worry about that. As you mentioned, as a kid, you got to take naps, and you had a lot of time to play. In high school, you don't have naptime--unless you fall asleep during class. Kids are free to spend the majority of their time having fun without the restrictions of schoolwork and whatever negative stuff life brings you. When we were younger, we couldn't wait to grow up, but now that we're older, we wish we were younger again.

What can you infer about Sally Ann based on the passage below:
This answer did not satisfy Susan and she often thought about it. To enter the mill, to stand quietly and look about, was the best kind of entertainment, for she was fascinated by the whir of the looms, by the nimble fingers of the weavers, and by the general air of efficiency. Admiringly she watched Sally Ann Hyatt, the tall capable weaver from Vermont. When the yarn on the beam was tangled or there was something wrong with the machinery, Elijah, the overseer, always called out to Sally Ann, "I'll tend your loom, if you'll look after this."
