excerpt from "A Cooking Revolution: How Clean Energy and Cookstoves Are Saving Lives" by Chef José Andrés, June 7, 2016

You see, from what we cook to how we cook, our food connects with our lives on so many levels. That's why having access to better technology and clean energy for cooking is as equally important as the ingredients in the food being prepared.

It's also why I'm proud to support an effort to bring clean cookstoves and fuels to millions of people in developing countries.

Together with the United Nations, the U.S. government, and partners around the world, the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves focuses on working with local communities and organizations to develop a market for cookstoves and fuels that significantly reduce emissions, cook more efficiently, and fit with local customs and culture.

How has the author used word choice and language to shape the impact of this passage?

By using informal phrases such as "That's why" and "It's also why," the author turns the informational tone of the passage into a persuasive tone.

By using formal language such as "access to better technology" and "significantly reduce emissions," the author seems objective and impersonal.

By informally addressing the reader as "you," using the first-person "I," and using contractions, the author helps the reader become interested and involved.

By using a formal tone, as in "the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves," the author makes the reader feel confident that the organization is effective.

Answers

Answer:

The answer is by adressing the reader with ''you'' and ''I".

Explanation:

This makes the reader wonder why they would mention the person who is looking over what they wrote to say such a broad statement that concerns the well-being of me and whoever wrote this to think to such a degree.

In the fifth sentence of the first paragraph (“There is the League of Nations...reduction of armament”), the author comments on the age and effectiveness of the League of Nations primary to explain

A -why the first world war motivated world leaders to form alliances

B- Why current measures may not indefinitely forestall another outbreak of war

C- It’s relationship to his claim that war is unlikely to be abolished immediately

D- it’s relevance to his argument regarding advances in peace preservation efforts

WILL MARK THE BRAINLIEST

Answers

Answer:

See explanation for answer.

Explanation:

Getting a driver's license can be the most rewarding and terrifying thing ever. So many dangers and joys fill the driving world. With driving comes freedom but great responsibility. There are so many things you need to have in order when you get your license. For one your driver's education, your mental preparedness, and your physical preparedness.

A driver's education is the first step to obtaining your license.  But before that, there are many steps you must take along the way. The very first step that a person should take in getting their license is completing the learner phase, then the intermediate more kind of middle stage, and then finally getting that license. The phases before the final phase may seem daunting and pointless but they are there fr a reason and you just have to have the patience to complete them.

Driving and mental preparedness go hand in hand. One example of this is road rage. You have to especially be able to control yourself when on the road. You can't careless and you have to follow the rules. If somebody makes you that angry honk your horn at them, build a bridge, and get over it. I can see how this might be challenging however for those with anger management issues. Which in that case should be referred to some sort of docter or a therapist.

Lastly is being physically prepared. No not like in shape, although that is helpful. Being physically prepared by always have a spare inflated tire or a gallon of gas. Even a pair of jumper cables can come in handy sometimes. It might be difficult to remember to have these things and more on hand but an easy way to solve that is by having a checklist on hand of everything you need.

In summary, while there are many steps that need to be taken in order to obtain your license and become a good driver on the road it is not impossible to achieve them all. You just might need a few adjustments that work for you.

I hope this helps!

Have a lovely night!

Think about the quote below and type your short reflection about it.

“An open mind is coupled with an open heart.”

Answers

Answer:

Answer:

“An open mind is coupled with an open heart.”

It means that the heart and mind works together. If you're open minded then you're also accepting, warm, and expansive. So if you have a closed heart you also have a closed mind. So we should have an open mind so that love flows through us without obstruction.

One way to write a short reflection about the quote "An open mind is coupled with an open heart" is the following:

He or she who has an open mind is accepting of new ideas and beliefs, of different cultures and lifestyles. Consequently, he or she develops more empathy for other people's choices, decisions, and ways of living - which comprises an open heart. Therefore, an open mind and an open heart end up coming together, since it is impossible to have one without the other.

To write a reflection like the one above, take your time thinking about the quote you must analyze.

While you reflect, write down any ideas or definitions that come to mind.

If necessary, think about the quote in parts. Focus on what you think an open mind is. Then, what you think an open heart is. Finally, connect the two ideas.
