When you encounter a T-critical value of 2.50, which T-obtained value would reject the null hypothesis? A) Tobt = 2.75 B) Tobt = -2.75 C) Tobt = 2.40 D) Tobt = - 2.40
Answer: A) Tobt = 2.75 B) Tobt = -2.75
Explanation:
We reject the null hypothesis when the absolute critical t-value is lower than the absolute t-obtained value. The given t-critical value [tex]T_{crit}=2.50[/tex]
So , we reject null hypothesis , when [tex]2.50< | T_{obt}|[/tex]
Since, [tex]2.50<|2.75|,\ \ 2.50<|-2.75|[/tex] but [tex]2.50>|2.40|\ \ \ , 2.50>|-2.40|[/tex]
So, the correct options are A) Tobt = 2.75 B) Tobt = -2.75

Explanation:
Hi Jane!
I've been meaning to write for ages and finally today I'm actually doing something about it. Not that I'm trying to make excuses for myself, it's been really hard to sit down and write, as I've been moving around so much. Since we last saw each other I've unpacked my bags in four different cities.
I went from London to Prague to set up a new regional office there. You know I'd always wanted to go, but maybe I was imagining Prague in spring when I used to talk about that. Winter was really hard, with minus 15 degrees in the mornings and dark really early in the evening. But at least it was blue skies and white snow and not days on end of grey skies and rain, like at home.
From there I was on another three-month mission to oversee the set-up of the office in New York. Loved, loved, loved New York! It's like being in one big TV show, as everywhere looks just a little bit familiar. I did every tourist thing you can think of when I wasn't working, and must have spent most of my salary on eating out. It was really hard to leave for the next job, especially as I kind of met someone (!) More about Michael later ...
So then I was posted to LA, which felt like a whole other country compared with the East Coast. I could definitely get used to that kind of outdoor, beach lifestyle, but I didn't spend as much time getting to know California as I could have because I was flying back to see Michael every other weekend. He came to see me when he could, but his job means he's often working at weekends, so he couldn't make the flight very often. Those three months flew by and then I was off again, to Frankfurt, which is where I am now. And ... so is Michael! He got a month off work and we're trying to work out how we can be in the same place at the same time for a while. We figure the first step in that direction is getting married, which is also why I wanted to write – I can't get married without my oldest friend there! The wedding's going to be at home in London in September and I hope you can come!
Anyway, tell me all your news and I promise not to leave it so long this time! Lots of love,
Kath

What would make an idea easy to diamias? (pomi)
O using relevant sources
O providing too vague and few details
o being a bad idea
providing too much evidence
Answer:
providing too vague and few details
Explanation:
The first thing that should come to the mind of someone trying to sell an idea or make people understand it would be to as clear as possible about what you're saying and what you want to achieve.
When a writer or speaker provides details that are too vague and not clear enough to understand their purpose or provide few details that are not able to explain clearly what the idea is about, then it would be very easy to dismiss such idea.

Read the following group discussion about utopias (perfect societies) and dystopias (hellish societies).
VICTOR: If you all read Sanchez's article, you know that she argues that Aldous Huxley's Brave New World is a utopian novel, not a dystopian novel. It's a negative society for the main character only because he's a weirdo, an outsider. Everybody else is happy.
RIKU: Yeah, but keep in mind how Sanchez defines a utopia. Her idea of a perfect society is one where everybody is ranked by ability and there isn't any conflict - not even disagreements. EDGAR: What's your point?
RIKU: My point is that Sanchez's idea of a perfect society is all about rules and order. I know that my idea of a utopia is totally different from that, and it's probably different from a lot of other people's, including Huxley's.
MARIA: In that case, what are some other examples of utopias? Ones that aren't orderly like the society in Brave New World?
Edgar: Why don't we each find a different example of a utopian society in literature and see how they're different?
VICTOR: O.K., I pick Thomas More's Utopia. I haven't read it yet so we'll see what he thinks.
Which student is MOST clearly evaluating an author's point of view?
Answer:
I think RIKU is sure

Which ending to the scene would create the most suspense?
O A. She heard Russ's voice: "Sorry, I forgot to call you. I won't let it
happen again."
B. It was Russ. He explained that he had been fighting aliens but that
he had won.
C. "Marjorie," Russ said. "Listen carefully. There's something you need
to know."
O D. "I heard back from the doctor," Russ said, "and it turns out that I
have the flu."
Answer:
C. "Marjorie," Russ said. "Listen carefully. There's something you need
to know."
Explanation:
Option C would be the best ending to the scene that would create the most suspense because it began with Russ telling Marjorie to listen carefully which first gets Marjorie's attention and she is eager to hear what he wants to say.
Then, he proceeds to tell her that there is something she needs to know. This is the clincher because he already has her attention by telling her to listen carefully and then ending the scene by informing her that she needs to know something brings the most suspense.
