In a small group, disscuss the restrictions that certain groups were subjeted to during the war. What types of restrictions were imposed? Who was affected? What reasoning did the Supreme Court give in allowing the suspension of the civil rights of some groups? Under what circumstances, if any, do you think the government should be able to suspend civil liberties of all specific groups of U.S or noncitizens ?

Answers

Answer 1

The correct answers to these open questions are the following.

You forgot to mention what war you are referring to. We assume it is World Word I and World War II. If that is the case, then we can answer the following.

What types of restrictions were imposed? Who was affected?

The United States federal government imposed a series of restrictions in order to establish strict control in society during times of war. There were shortages of food, restrictions in the fabrication of some products to dedicate most of the production to fabricate war supplies to be sent to the war front.

There were also harshest restrictions such as the suppression of the freedom of speech.

The reasoning that the Supreme Court gave in allowing the suspension of the civil rights of some groups was because the government did not want people to protest against the war or who criticized the motives of the war. The government also considered that there were strategic reasons to avoid any spies to infiltrate into American society.

I think that under these circumstances, the government should be able to suspend the civil liberties of the U.S or noncitizens for security purposes.

The most clear hypothesis for Western Rome's breakdown nails the tumble to a line of military misfortunes supported against outside powers. Romulus, the remainder of the Roman emperors in the west, was ousted by the Germanic chief Odoacer, who turned into the primary Barbarian to control in Rome. The request that the Roman Domain had brought to western Europe for a very long time was no more. the Germanic chief Odoacer organized a revolt and dismissed the Emperor Romulus Augustulus. From that point on, no Roman emperor could until kingdom come rule from a post in Italy, driving numerous to refer to 476 as the year the Western Domain endured its final knockout. All in all, the Roman domain succumbed to numerous reasons, yet the 5 fundamental ones were attacks by Barbarian clans, Financial difficulties, and overreliance on slave work, Overexpansion and Military Spending, and Government debasement and political unsteadiness.

Mesopotamian civilizations formed on the banks of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in what is today Iraq and Kuwait.

Early civilizations began to form around the time of the Neolithic Revolution—12000 BCE.

Some of the major Mesopotamian civilizations include the Sumerian, Assyrian, Akkadian, and Babylonian civilizations.

Evidence shows extensive use of technology, literature, legal codes, philosophy, religion, and architecture in these societies.

Tigris and Euphrates rivers are in Southwest Asia

- they start in mountains of todayʼs Turkey, Kurdistan

- fl ow southeast through todayʼs Iraq to Persian Gulf

• Region is called Mesopotamia, “land between the rivers”

• Rivers provide water and a means for travel

- area had few roads, so boats carried heavy loads on river currents

The Mesopotamians, like all ancient humans

(or at least the ones who have left us written records), sought to anchor their most cherished

values in the realm of the immutable (Irani 1995: 2). Regarding the question, “Where do justice

and the law come from?” ancient Mesopotamians did not rely on what we would call “secular”

explanations or justifications based on “natural law” or “human rights,” all of which are

innovations of the post-Enlightenment world. Likewise, equating the search for justice with

essentially “religious” goals as opposed to other categories (political, economic, etc.) proves

inadequate since our modern notions of personal “spirituality” are incompatible with the ancient

cultural-religious milieu. Worshipping the deities

what is tax evasion

Answers

Tax evasion is the illegal evasion of taxes by individuals, corporations, and trusts. Tax evasion often entails taxpayers deliberately misrepresenting the true state of their affairs to the tax authorities to reduce their tax liability, and it includes dishonest tax reporting, such as declaring less income, profits or gains than the amounts actually earned, or overstating deductions.

Tax evasion is an activity commonly associated with the informal economy.[1] One measure of the extent of tax evasion (the "tax gap") is the amount of unreported income, which is the difference between the amount of income that should be reported to the tax authorities and the actual amount reported.

In contrast, tax avoidance is the legal use of tax laws to reduce one's tax burden. Both tax evasion and tax avoidance can be viewed as forms of tax noncompliance, as they describe a range of activities that intend to subvert a state's tax system, but such classification of tax avoidance is disputable since avoidance is lawful in self-creating systems.

The are of the triangles is 1/2*base*height or 1/2*√17*8 (I got √17 by using the pythagorean theorem to find the other length of the triangle) and that means the area of one triangle is 16.49. Since there are two, the combined area of the triangles is 32.98. The area of the rectangle is base*height or (14 - √17 is 9.88 as the base) 9.88 * 8 or 79.04.
