what other benefits do the geographic features of the region shown in the image provide to the Greeks?

Answers

Answer: there is no image but ima still try to help. here's what i got. so the geography of the region helped to shape the government and culture of the Ancient Greeks. Geographical formations including mountains, seas, and islands formed natural barriers between the Greek city-states and forced the Greeks to settle along the coast. also the sea allowed the Greeks to trade for food by traveling over water. and as a peninsula, the people of Greece took advantage of living by the sea. The mountains in Greece did not have fertile soil good for growing crops, like in Mesopotamia, but the mild climate allowed for some farming. The Greeks, like many other ancient civilizations, felt deeply connected to the land they lived on.

My answer to this question is below, I hope you are satisfied with it. :)

DATE ANSWERED: 5/6/2021

It is undeniable that humans have changed the environment around them as they progressed through technological advancements, and have even changed Earth itself. As humans have made advancements in transportation, construction, energy and power, communication, manufacturing, etc, humanity has had to find more ways of obtaining Earth’s natural resources, such as fossil fuels to power their expedition into the unknown. Numerous actions that humans have taken such as fossil fuels, pollution, deforestation, and many more have all negatively affected Earth.

One of the most harmful activities that humans have participated in is pollution. Whether it be air pollution, water pollution, or land pollution, humans have harmed the earth by polluting the environments around them. By destroying the environments around them, humans have harmed and killed the animals and plants that live on Earth with them, and have even harmed themselves as a result of pollution. Through economic and technological developments throughout history, humans have created air pollution such as smog, acid precipitation, and ozone depletion. The same can be said for water and land pollution, with factors such as oil spills, beach pollution, and littering being the main causes of those types of pollution. The pollution caused by humans have not only destroyed environments and habitats but have killed numerous humans as well, as reported in document 4: “Annu Nagar is one of 22 communities [in India] where the groundwater has been known for nearly 20 years to contain toxic levels of chlorinated solvents. Six years ago, responding to relentless efforts from activists, the Indian Supreme Court ordered the city to install pipes that bring in clean water from the Narmada River. But the pipes coming into some houses run right through sewers, and on rainy days, filth and feces mingle with the clean water. In the meantime, each monsoon may be carrying this toxic plume farther. The most recent survey suggests there are 20 more communities where the water is contaminated. In March of this year, the Supreme Court ordered that the city ensure clean water to these areas, too—and that it undertake a project to lay down sewage and drainage networks for the entire city.” This document gives an example of how water pollution has caused humans living in Annu Nagar to drink polluted water.

Humans must strive to make advancements towards cleaner energy because the current situation on Earth is slowly killing the planet and its inhabitants. As humans have made advancements in transportation, construction, energy and power, communication, manufacturing, etc, humanity has had to find more ways of obtaining Earth’s natural resources, such as fossil fuels to power their expedition into the unknown. Whether it be air pollution, water pollution, or land pollution, we are killing plants, animals, and humans that live on Earth.

what was the purpose of the great pyramid?

Answers

Explanation:

The Great Pyramid of Giza is a defining symbol of Egypt and the last of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World. It is located on the Giza plateau near the modern city of Cairo and was built over a twenty-year period during the reign of the king Khufu (2589-2566 BCE, also known as Cheops) of the 4th Dynasty. Until the Eiffel Tower was completed in Paris, France in 1889 CE, the Great Pyramid was the tallest structure made by human hands in the world; a record it held for over 3,000 years and one unlikely to be broken. Other scholars have pointed to the Lincoln Cathedral spire in England, built in 1300 CE, as the structure which finally surpassed the Great Pyramid in height but, still, the Egyptian monument held the title for an impressive span of time. The pyramid rises to a height of 479 feet (146 metres) with a base of 754 feet (230 metres) and is comprised of over two million blocks of stone. Some of these stones are of such immense size and weight (such as the granite slabs in the King's Chamber) that the logistics of raising and positioning them so precisely seems an impossibility by modern standards.

The pyramid was first excavated using modern techniques and scientific analysis in 1880 CE by Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie (1853-1942 CE), the British archaeologist who set the standard for archaeological operations in Egypt generally and at Giza specifically. Writing on the pyramid in 1883 CE, Flinders Petrie noted:

What two causes contributed to the Dust Bowl?
A Too little water and high wheat prices
B. Intimidated buyers and overworked farmers
C Overworked land and drought
D Low wheat prices and farmers holidays

Answers

A and C if I'm not incorrect

The Dust Bowl was caused by a number of factors, including insufficient water supplies, excessive wheat prices, overworked land, and drought. The correct answers are (A) and (C).

What is meant by a Dust Bowl?

The American and Canadian prairies were severely impacted by the Dust Bowl, a period of intense dust storms, in the 1930s, which also had a negative impact on agriculture and environment.

The phenomena was brought on by a confluence of natural (extreme drought) and man-made (failure to adopt dryland farming techniques to avoid wind erosion, most notably the degradation of the natural topsoil by settlers in the area) elements.

Three waves of drought hit the High Plains: in 1934, 1936, and 1939–1940, but in certain places, conditions persisted for up to eight years.

The Dust Bowl has been the subject of numerous works of art, including the John Steinbeck novel The Grapes of Wrath (1939), Woody Guthrie's folk music, and images of the conditions.
