Pretend that you are a newspaper reporter during WWII. Write an article (at least five paragraphs long) that describe the liberation of a camp. What would soldiers have seen when they entered one of the concentration camps? What would survivors have told the soldiers? What were conditions in the camps like?
Please, I do not understand the question
Answer:
The concentration camp survivors faced many challenges. They lived through starvation, poor living conditions, and sickness spreading through the camp. All of the people that went in the concentration camps, came out very unhealthy, if at all. Most of the Jews who went into concentration camps went in as a family, so if one person were to survive, the other family members got burned in the gas chambers or starved to death. Not even being able to know if they are living or not, we could imagine, would be scary because the German soldiers couldn't have cared less about what they were worried about, because Hitler had convinced them that Germany would be better without the Jews, and that the Jews were the problem.
The soldiers liberating the camp survivors would have seen starved & ill prisoners, terrible living conditions, and barbed wire fences. Perhaps a few of the soldiers were disgusted at the atrocious living conditions that the Nazis were forcing these innocent people to live in. As they were trying to help some out of the campgrounds, soldiers might have been giving the survivors emergency food to help them regain their strength, and carrying the little ones who were too weak to walk.
The survivors would probably have been telling the soldiers their stories of living in the concentration camps, and the harsh labor and evil that they had to endure under their Nazi overseers. As the soldiers listened, they became more and more angry with the Nazis and Hitler. The survivors might also have told how a few people have risked their lives to protect the prisoners.
The conditions in the camps were terrible. The prisoners were given little food, but a lot of work. If you messed up even in the slightest detail, the Nazis would beat them. The prisoners had to share bunk beds with 20 other people when only 4 would be able to fit. Also, if the Nazis realized that you were of no use to them anymore, you would be shot.

Upload your scientists and inventors project below. (for world history on oddesyware)
my mental health is so bad currently. i have countless missing assignments. i would really appreciate some help.
PROJECT: SCIENTISTS AND INVENTORS
There has been a huge amount of technological progress made in the last 100 years. Just think, 100 years ago, there was no television; many homes didn't even have a radio. Many scientists and inventors led the way to the technological revolution that we are currently living in.
What makes someone a scientist or an inventor, though?
Scientists seek to explain how the world works. They conduct research and experiments to test a hypothesis. Their work seeks to change the way we understand the world around us.
Inventors focus on bringing an idea to reality; they do this by creating an original invention. Inventors contribute to society's progress by creating applicable ways to complete a process, such as with technological devices or chemical compounds.
OBJECTIVES
Identify the contributions of significant scientists and inventors.
Read and comprehend historical/social studies texts.
Analyze in detail a series of events described in a text, and determine whether earlier events caused later ones or simply preceded them.
Compare and contrast treatments of the same topic in several primary and secondary sources.
Design an effective slide-show presentation of your research using multiple forms of media.
Before You Begin
For this project, you will be creating a multimedia presentation about one of the following scientists or inventors:
Marie Curie
Thomas Edison
Albert Einstein
Louis Pasteur
James Watt
In order to create your presentation, you will first need to conduct research to gather the information. You will be required to read one, full-length literary nonfiction text about one of the above figures, as your central source. Literary nonfiction is a type of text that incorporates elements of literature as well as factual information. Essentially, it is a factually accurate story that incorporates literary elements like figurative language and literary style. In that way, it is different from strictly informational nonfiction texts, such as textbooks or encyclopedias.
One suggestion is to read a short autobiography or biography based on your selected historical figure. After you have selected the literary nonfiction text you will read, check in with your teacher to get the text approved.
In addition to the literary nonfiction text, you will also need one additional source. This source will be either a primary or a secondary source.
Primary sources are firsthand accounts of an event, original sources of information that were created at the time an event occurred. Primary sources may include autobiographies, artifacts, diaries, letters, treaties, speeches, song lyrics, poems, photographs, recordings, and newspaper articles.
Secondary sources contain the analysis and evaluation of a collection of information; secondary sources use a variety of information to draw a conclusion about a historical event. Secondary sources are often written by people who have studied primary sources and wish to share their conclusions. Examples of secondary sources include books, biographies, journal articles, and models built based on evidence collected

I need an essay answering what was the impact of
the printing press? NEED HELP ASAP
Answer:
The printing press had dramatic effects on European civilization. Its immediate effect was that it spread information quickly and accurately. This helped create a wider literate reading public.
Explanation:
long before the printing press was ever even conceptualized, a man was not equipped with the instrument of writing. It was only the spoken word that was passed on. Memory was the tool that was relied on. As a result of this, when writing began to enter the mainstream world, it was condemned by a lot of people, including Socrates, who felt that it would just create forgetfulness and create a ‘show of wisdom without reality’.
This opinion, of course, was extremely ephemeral, though, and soon thereafter, writing had become very common. Still, it remained at the jurisdiction of the elites of society, preserving the written word on papyrus or vellum. In monasteries, cathedrals, and universities of the medieval world, the writing was not done in ordinary language; a special, holy language, Latin, was used for the purpose. This further restricted access to writing to only those who were learned in Latin.
In the 15th century, an innovation enabled people to share knowledge more quickly and widely. Civilization never looked back. Knowledge is power, as the saying goes, and the invention of the mechanical movable type printing press helped disseminate knowledge wider and faster than ever before.
Over the years, the libraries of monasteries became repositories of rare, exquisite, and sometimes, unique texts. Whenever copies were required, they would be made in a special scriptorium, the room of the scribes, where a scribe, usually a monk, would try his best to replicate the text as closely as possible, without making errors. Despite his best efforts, there were often inadvertent errors in the texts. Despite this, copying was seen as holy labor, and many men devoted their lives to it, creating, over the years, some beautiful products, such as the Book of Kells.
But even though the work tried to avoid variability, there were changes that gradually came about. A crucial one that had taken place by the start of the middle ages was the shift from scrolls to codices, the form in which we are acquainted with our books. By reducing the wear and tear that was inevitable from the constant rolling and unrolling of scrolls, the codex made the written word more accessible, and for that, many historians believe it to be an even bigger revolution than the printing press.
Bookselling also became a much bigger vocation in the later middle ages, with stationery shops sprouting up around the young universities of Medieval Europe, around 1350. Here, scribes would copy books on demand.
With the entry of the Gutenberg printing press, all of this, and several other social systems, went through a major overhaul.
Gutenberg’s press had strong associations with the Christian authority. He saw the catholic world as a serious market for his products and began to print Bibles. These newer, ‘approved’, and more uniform bibles became a show for Papal authority, and warded off rival popes, maintaining, and in fact, strengthening authority over Christendom.
Later on, Gutenberg’s printing press was used to print copies of the Catholic priest, Martin Luther’s works, including his Ninety-Five Theses, calling for changes within the church, which were read in huge numbers, technically making Martin Luther the first-ever best selling author. In this manner, the printing press was of paramount importance in spreading the protestant reforms.
