Answer:

Cecily: wants to marry an "Ernest" because it has always been her dream to marry someone with that name because it inspires such confidence. Cecily also likes his appearance and style.

Gwendolen: wants to marry an "Ernest" because of the meaning behind the name. It is a metaphor for the preoccupation of the Victorian middle- and upper-middle classes with the appearance of virtue and honor.

How is “The Lot” different from the rest of the neighborhood?

Answers

“The Lot” different from the rest of the neighborhood because "The Lot" was filled with overgrown shrubs, unpruned trees, tall grasses and lots of weed.

What is the summary of "The lot"?

Translated by Richard Wilbur, Anna Akhmatova's enchanting poem, Lot's Wife, tells an ancient story passed down from generation to generation from the new perspective of Lot's wife. The Genesis story of Lot's family is told with little insight into the feelings and thoughts of those involved. In fact, the report reads more like a historical document than a story. As the biblical story unfolds, the reader is given facts about what happened, but no insight into the characters' feelings or thoughts is revealed. It is especially overlooked in this story, never to be told again, because it turned into a pillar of salt for disobedience. This poem offers a glimpse into the mind of this unnamed wife of Lot.

Therefore, “The Lot” different from the rest of the neighborhood because "The Lot" was filled with overgrown shrubs, unpruned trees, tall grasses and lots of weed.

What do you think of Twain's assertion that all of the "grace, the beauty and poetry" had gone out of the river once he learned its language? What does this tell us about this "language"?

Twain's statement reinforces that the river is not what he imagined and he only realized this when he learned about how the river works, that is, the language of the river.

What did Twain think of the river?Twain thought the river was poetic.Twain thought the river would promote tranquility and happiness.

Mark Twain had a very romanticized view of the river. He greatly admired the aquatic environment but did not know much about the river, as he had not come into direct contact with it.

On the day he got to know the river and learned how it works, he saw that the river is dangerous and often violent and that made all the grace, beauty, and poetry come out of the river.

According to "Wilbur and Orville Wright: Men with Wings," why do people most remember the Wright brothers

According to "Wilbur and Orville Wright: Men with Wings," The reason that  people most remember the Wright brothers is because they were successful due to their teamwork.

What do the Wright brothers called the slightly tilted wings?

They purposefully chose anhedral (drooping) wings for their first powered flyer in 1903 because they are inherently unstable but less likely to be upset by strong crosswinds.

Note that Midway through the 1880s, Wilbur and Orville started a modest printing company as their first official joint venture. They printed on demand and released a number of transient local newspapers. During this time, the close-knit crew that built the first airplane came into being.

Therefore, Their faith in and trust in what they were doing propelled them to act courageously. They were able to handle failure. Failure provided information for the process, which motivated them. With diligence and careful attention to detail, impossible challenges can be overcome.

Why do people give negative and positive value to heritage

Answers

A set of cultural, social, and historical traditions that are carried down from generation to generation is referred to as heritage. It is an essential component of any culture and frequently identifies one culture from another. For a number of reasons, people place both negative and positive values on heritage.

One of the most prevalent reasons people place a high value on heritage is that it allows them to remember and commemorate the past. Individuals may connect with their ancestors and learn more about their family history through Heritage. It is also a method of preserving a culture's past and passing on its values and beliefs to future generations.

At the same time, some individuals may have negative views about their history because of how it may be utilized to maintain inequality. Because of their heritage, certain cultures may be perceived as superior to others, which can lead to discrimination and prejudice. Ancestry may also be utilized to sustain old power arrangements that may be oppressive to particular groups of people, such as patriarchy.

to start, Kids are just jitterish from the start. So yes, it is normal to feel fear as a kid. I think most kids are too immature to understand fear usually. (maybe 3-7 year olds.) But it still happens. When i was a kid I used to worry about my families safety. Its a big thing kids worry about. I was worried that i would accidentally sleep on my hound when i was getting from school. If your scared as a kid you usually get comforted by your parents. Usually the mom since dads are typically not too well with sad or emotional children. I am definitely a worry worm for my family. When i was around 7 or 8 my mother broke her ankle at a party when we were celebrating July 4th. It was horrible. I couldnt do enough for her, I felt like I wasn't good enough for her. I Could not sleep knowing that she was uncomfortable. Soon enough I realized that i shouldn't worry. And  that she was in good hands. I also noticed that it wouldnt do any good to worry about her as she was already stressed. When she came home, she was all better. I learned to trust the hospital as they have all the knowledge they need to take care of everybody.
