What would happen if you had to go to school year-round? You would still have breaks that would equal a summer break, but now they would be spread out throughout the school year. Write an argumentative response of how this idea would help or hurt a student’s education.
Answer:
....
Explanation:
Personally, I am all for year-round schooling. I think that our system needs a change and getting rid of the traditional school calendar may be a place to start. Students are often under the pressure of fighting their busy schedules, suffocating in school work; all to just be saved by the occasional holiday break. This, to me, is unacceptable. Year-round students have more opportunites to relax, get caught up, and de-stress from the issues of schooling. Especially with corona, I think that having less kids in the building, and starting students on a "track" or year-round schedule, would be nothing but beneficial to all.

Communication through poetry

Who was the murderer
What was the weapon
The time of the murder
The place of the murder
The motive
Answer:
The murderer was most likely Mr. Scoot
The weapon was a Knife
The time of murder was most likely around the time of 12:25
The place of the murder I think would be in the urban neighborhood.
And the motive, is so Mr. Scoot can stay with Mr. Kelley's wife.
Explanation:
Reasoning behind why I think Mr. Scoot was the murder is because said 1. Police where unable to find Mr. Scott after the murder.
2. It's says that the knife had Mr. Scott's finger prints on them.
3. Mr. Kelley walked into Mr. Scott's room at around 12:25 was dragged to the area he was killed in (the urban neighborhood) due to the fact he was probably weak and unable to run away to the fact he was shot in the thigh at 12:00 by Mr. Jones (Mr. Jones probably shot him on purpose as it says Mr. Jones said he wanted Mr. Kelley dead). The elevator man got of work at 12:30, and Miss Smith said she didn't see anyone leave the apartment around the times of 12:25 and 12:45, now this little piece of information wouldn't make sense due to the fact that the elevator man left work of got off his shift at 12:30. It also wouldn't add up on how Mr. Scott was able to drag Mr. Kelley out and not get noticed by anyone. But it says that Miss Smith said that the police didn't care about the spread of illegal drugs, so she was probably upset about that fact and lied to the police, possible even helping out with the murder as the knife was found in her backyard.
Well, I basically explained why the weapon was a Knife, also why the murder was around 12:25. The place of the murder, it makes sense that it was in the urban area because the it's says that it seemed that Mr. Kelley was dragged quiet a long way.
Then Scott's motive is that he wanted to be with Mr. Kelley's wife as it's said that Mr. Kelley's wife would often be seen going out with Mr. Scott. So, what I'm thinking is that Mr. Kelley found out about them as it says Mrs. Kelley went to Mr. Scott's room 11:30, which probably means Mr. Scott was not having that and ended up killed him.
Then again I could be wrong about this because I'm not a professional, but I do believe I could be correct.

Explanation:
Vinny slipped, and dropped his towel in the mud. He
picked it up and tried to brush it off, but instead smeared
the mud spot around until the towel resembled something
someone’s dog had slept on. “Tst,” he said.
Joe-Boy, hiking down just behind him, laughed. “Hey,
Vinny, just think, that kid walked where you walking.”
“Shuddup,” Vinny said.
“You prob’ly stepping right where his foot was.”
Vinny moved to the edge of the trail, where the ravine fell
through a twisted jungle of gnarly trees and underbrush to the
stream far below. He could see Starlene and Mo farther ahead,
their heads bobbing as they walked, both almost down to the
pond where the boy had died.
“Hey,” Joe-Boy went on, “maybe you going be the one to
find his body.”
“You don’t cut it out, Joe-Boy, I going . . . I going . . . ”
“What, cry?”
Vinny scowled. Sometimes Joe-Boy was a big fat babooze.
They slid down the trail. Mud oozed between Vinny’s
toes. He grabbed at roots and branches to keep from falling.
Mo and Starlene were out of sight now, the trail ahead having
cut back.
Joe-Boy said, “You going jump in the water and go down
and your hand going touch his face, stuck under the rocks.
Ha ha ha . . . a ha ha ha!”
Vinny winced. He didn’t want to be here. It was too soon,
way too soon. Two weeks and one day.
He saw a footprint in the mud and stepped around it.
The dead boy had jumped and had never come back up.
Four search and rescue divers hunted for two days straight
and never found him. Not a trace. Gave Vinny the creeps. It
didn’t make sense. The pond wasn’t that big.
He wondered why it didn’t seem to bother anyone else.
Maybe it did and they just didn’t want to say.
Butchie was the kid’s name. Only fourteen.
Fourteen.
Two weeks and one day ago he was walking down this
trail. Now nobody could find him.
The jungle crushed in, reaching over the trail, and Vinny

What is the theme in the some like poetry , and identify one example where the author used connotation and explain how in the some like poetry and where is there a shift in the attitude
Some Like Poetry
By Wislawa Szymborska
Translated by Regina Grol
Some -
thus not all. Not even the majority of all but the minority.
Not counting schools, where one has to,
and the poets themselves.
there might be two people per thousand.
Like -
but one also likes chicken soup with noodles,
one likes compliments and the color blue,
one likes an old scarf,
one likes having the upper hand,
one likes stroking a dog.
Poetry -
but what is poetry.
Many shaky answers
have been given to this question.
But I don’t know and don’t know and hold on to it
like to a sustaining railing.
Answer:
The connotation caused by the poem given is sad, maybe a little empty. Gives off a lot of 'grey area' vibes.
Many people like blue. Everyone likes compliments. Not all like poems, but some. But at the end of the day it's a straight answer for the first two thirds of the poem.
Then the author tries to define poems and cannot.
"Many shaky answers." It is undefinable, which is where the grey area vibes come in. This gives the poem new connotation of confusion. The shift in attitude is also at the third stanza, when the author no longer has a good answer for what poetry is.
I hope this helps :)

Read this transcript from a church sermon by Martin Luther King, Jr., and answer the question that follows.
I think the first reason that we should love our enemies . . . is this: that hate for hate only intensifies the existence of hate and evil in the universe. If I hit you and you hit me and I hit you back and you hit me back and go on, you see, that goes on ad infinitum. It just never ends. Somewhere somebody must have a little sense, and that’s the strong person. The strong person is the person who can cut off the chain of hate, the chain of evil. And that is the tragedy of hate, that it doesn’t cut it off. It only intensifies the existence of hate and evil in the universe. Somebody must have religion enough and morality enough to cut it off and inject within the very structure of the universe that strong and powerful element of love.
—from “Loving your Enemies.” Delivered at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama, on 17 November 1957
What effect is created by reading Dr. King’s words alongside Kennedy’s speech?
A
The sermon transcript shows how King’s own words support Kennedy’s call for understanding and compassion over hatred and mistrust.
B
The sermon transcript provides an alternative to Kennedy’s suggestion that the American public cope with Dr. King’s death by coming together.
C
The sermon transcript provides a contrasting point of view about the reasons for choosing love over hate.
D
The sermon transcript shows that some of Kennedy’s ideas about cooperation were put into action to bring about actual change.
Answer:
A
Explanation:
Let me start with why it isn't C. C is true but it's not more important than what A says. A talks about how Martin and Kennedy agree with their words which is what the question asks.
The effect created by reading Dr. King's words alongside Kennedy's speech is The sermon transcript provides a contrasting point of view about the reasons for choosing love over hate. Option C is the correct answer.
In Kennedy's speech, he emphasizes the importance of unity and cooperation in order to overcome the challenges facing the nation. He calls for Americans to work together and put aside their differences. On the other hand, in the sermon transcript by Dr. King, he focuses on the concept of loving our enemies and cutting off the chain of hate and evil. Option C is the correct answer.
Dr. King argues that hate only intensifies the existence of hate and evil in the world, and the strong person is the one who can break this cycle and inject love into the universe. This contrasting perspective highlights the power of love and the belief that it is through love, rather than mere unity or cooperation, that we can truly address the underlying issues of hatred and evil.
