Essay:
Libraries should not ban certain books, like Percy Jackson or Harry Potter just because it is not politically correct; or the content is not right for certain ages. It should be up to the parent to decide what books their young children should read if they are so worried that their kids will learn bad habits from reading books.
It is also should be up to the person on what they want to read, libraries are suppose to be promoting reading to all, not limiting them on what they can read. It is ok for kids to immerse themselves in what they read. Books are something that kids do to let their imagination go wild, having no limits, if they want let them pretend that they have magic powers. If we did not have these books, the author's out their would be limited on what they want to write, not really making it fun; all life would be like is biographies and history books.
We would also not have a fictional section where all these types of books are placed, making libraries not fun to be in. This is why I think that banned books should not be banned from libraries. You are letting kids not have an imagination.
According to a website called ProCon.org "In the 1982 Supreme Court ruling on Board of Education v. Pico, Justice Brennan wrote that taking books off of library shelves could violate students’ First Amendment rights, adding that “Local school boards may not remove books from school libraries simply because they dislike the ideas contained in those books.”
Explanation:
Hope that helps!
This isn't going to be the best so i am sorry if you dont like it but im just going to try to help. if you want to add more then obviously do so but i chose to write about why they should be banned. i didnt finish the thesis bc im not good at those.
Library books aren't always the best. Have you ever read how to kill a mockingbird? They're some inappropriate words that young people shouldn't be allowed to read. Some books just shouldn't be in libraries.
Some books contain violence, nudity, inappropriate words, and just things we shouldn't be reading. If a fourth grader got ahold of one of those books how do you think it would turn out? Probably not so good. Kids and teenagers should be reading books for their age but once they read an adult book it's not always the best. Some might say it's no big deal, but what would you do if your nine year old sister got a book about murder? I assume not very happy. Although that might not be so bad for some, their are many examples of inappropriate things in books which expands my reason even more of banning certain books.
Something else that isn't a terrific thing is reading about racism or discrimination. Maybe if it's a book talking about how Rosa Parks helped the black community in 1955 then that would be great to read. On the other hand I'm sure theirs some books talking about how that was bad and it's okay to speak poorly just because of their race. It isn't something libraries should be putting out for teenagers to read. They should be more aware of what they are giving out to their book community.
Obviously they're many reasons library books should be banned, but these are just a few.
im not good at thesis and im thirteen so i gave up. lol sorry i tired.

Hello. This question is incomplete. The full question is:
Where does the comma go:
"Only one person is missing" Wrote French poet Alphonse de Lamartine "and the whole world seems depopulated."
Answer:
"Only one person is missing," Wrote French poet Alphonse de Lamartine, "and the whole world seems depopulated.

As can be seen in the question above, the comma must be placed after the word "missing" and after the word Lamartine. As you can also see, it is important that the first comma is placed before the quotation marks ("), as this is the correct form within American English. The comma separates the phrase" wrote French poet Alphonse de Lamartine "from the rest of the sentence This must be done, because this is an additional sentence, written to extend the meaning of the sentence, but not to provide essential information.

1. Rewrite the sentences using used to if it is possible. Write can't change
where you can't change the sentence.
1 I talked to him on Monday.
2 I hated school when I was a teenager.
3 My parents didn't eat out very often.
4 We visited our grandmother every weekend.
5 I went to the cinema with Mark yesterday.
6 Did you watch a lot of TV when you were a child?
Answer:
1 I talked to him on Monday. --> CAN'T CHANGE
2 I hated school when I was a teenager. --> I used to hate school when I was a teenager.
3 My parents didn't eat out very often. --> My parents didn't use to eat out very often.
4 We visited our grandmother every weekend. --> We used to visit our grandmother every weekend.
5 I went to the cinema with Mark yesterday. --> CAN'T CHANGE
6 Did you watch a lot of TV when you were a child? --> Did you use to watch a lot of TV when you were a child?
Explanation:
First, let's understand why we can't change numbers 1 and 5. "Used to" can be employed to refer to habitual actions in the past, that is, actions that happened frequently. In numbers 1 and 5, we are talking about a single action that happened at a specific time in the past, not about actions that happened often. Therefore, "used to" is not applicable to them.
All the other sentences are speaking of actions that happened often during a period of time in the past. If the sentence is affirmative, all we need to do is add "used to" before the main verb in its base form. If the sentence is negative, we use "didn't use to" before the main verb. Interrogative sentences place the auxiliary "did" before the subject, followed by "use to" and the main verb. Note that, in the negative and interrogative forms, it's "use", not "used".

People elected him president change into passive voice
Answer:
wht
Explanation:
Answer:
he given sentence is in the active voice, as the subject 'The people' performs an action 'elected' against the object 'him'.
If this sentence is changed to passive voice, then the subject is also changed, in order to retain the meaning of the sentence.
So, the object takes the place of the subject and vice versa and the word 'by' is introduced as now the subject receives the action by the object. The verb form of the sentence is also changed from active form to passive.
'Subject (The people) + verb (elected) + direct object (him) + object complement (Mayor)' changes to:
'New subject (He) + verb (was elected) + object complement (Mayor) + by + new object (the people)'
The passive form of 'made' in the simple past tense is 'was/were made'.
This can be seen in option B, hence it's the right answer.
('He' is the subject form of the object pronoun 'him'.)
Option A: The word 'him' is an object pronoun and hence needs to be replaced with its subjective counterpart 'he'.
Option C: In this option, the subject 'he' is missing, 'Mayor' is an object complement and cannot function as a subject here. Also, 'is' is in the present tense whereas the sentence is in the past tense 'was elected'.
Option D: The verb 'is' expresses present tense and the object complement, which is to define the old object 'him' cannot follow the new object 'the people'. It does not form a complete meaning.
Hence options A, C and D are incorrect.
